Basillius stood exhausted amongst the frantic people of both Human origin and those of the GC as they yelled over each other for different things, whether it be him and his new 'godhood', Amaranth and their relationship, or Haruhi and the fact that Earth really did play host to an entirely different evolutionary path of every galactic species known to the GC.
The questions, concerns, congratulations, and overall yelling finally grated on him enough. He looked around at them and gave a strange smile before raising one hand into the air and pressing his middle finger to his thumb. A snap as loud as a gunshot rang out, silencing the entire group and Basillius sighed in relief before saying his piece. "I know that you all have questions and other things to say, however, we are in the midst of a rather serious problem. We don't have the time for this right now."
Aurelius cleared his throat and stood at attention, "My lord? What pressing issue is there? I have no recollection of anything aside from the first contact..."
Basillius smiled, "Do you all not remember Mael's parting words? Something about slaughtering all of the "Livestock" in this galaxy... You know, our new little furry friends. If the ships we have seen from Tarma and the... cat? are anything to go by, then they will have a hard time fending off an Azarian invasion. They will likely end up in the same dire straits we were in when Mael conducted the first invasions into the galaxy. Also, he has somehow been able to send in more and more of the Azarians with every new invasion and battle, so they might actually end up worse off than we were."
This brought the mood of the group to an extreme low as those children of Terra had all experienced brutal wars with the Azarians, but they knew that they had been born on the light end of the fighting for the most part. Very few Terrans alive today were survivors of the great invasion and all those alive today could only attribute it to Basillius. Those from the GC all looked pale as a sheet due to the intense fight they had seen before as well.

Mizan walked up to Basillius and knelt before him, giving him a Fellid Empires salute. "My name is Mizan D'Tani. I have dedicated my heart to the Galactic Compact for their kindness and acceptance... However, my heart is also still with my people. I humbly request of you and your Terran Imperium... Do not let those... things destroy my home or my people. If you need anything... I will try to negotiate for it on your behalf. Just, please... Don't let them die. Our fleets couldn't handle the fights I just witnessed. We would last months at most..."
Basillius smiled warmly at her. "Mael was our problem to begin with. We will naturally assist you in the fight with Mael across all fronts. Also, there's only really one thing we could want from you. It's something we've dreamed of since we had the realization that there could be other life amongst the stars. Though you are all very familiar, we would love your friendship over all those material goods and petty promises. Besides, isn't it natural for friends to help each other? So, we will be your spear and shield. But, for that, I need to go have the negotiations with your body of government."
Vella perked up and immediately began to crawl towards Basillius already fully prostrated as if in prayer. "Oh Lord of death and battle! I beg of you, permit this devout avian the right to fight and die alongside you and your children of Terra!"
Basillius looked down at Vella with a confused expression, "A-another cult? Already?! From a different people?!"
Vella bowed even further smashing his face as far into the deck as he could before shakily rattling out, "This lowly one is called Vella. Please permit me, oh divine embodiment of death and battle!"

The giant of a man simply knelt down and held out his hand to Vella, "Calm down little one... You can fight with us. Though I don't like being worshipped, so, please. Stop. Actually though, stand up and look at me. I am a soldier and a man before anything else."
Vella slowly looked up at Basillius and tears welled in his eyes as he saw his object of worship gazing down on him and even offering him a hand personally. "Oh, ruler of the myriad hells and conqueror of the lesser gods... Thank you... Thank you for offering your hand to this lowly one who has yet to achieve death in battle..." the further he got in his speech the more he began sobbing uncontrollably.
Amaranth giggled behind him, "Well well well! Looks like you've already established a faith in an entirely new people! You sure work fast!"
Basillius sighed, "They just don't get it... What about me screams, 'I'm a god' to everyone? With Terrans, I thought it was just lingering emotions from when I fought off the Azarians and cleaned out the corrupt. But no. It's literally everyone. I get that I look a little different and I'm a bit strong... but that doesn't make me a god. I'm an irresponsible Human man filled with emotions and regrets of lifetimes past. Not a damn god."
Amaranth quirked an eyebrow at him, "And then what about me screams goddess of death?"
Basillius stared at her with a completely deadpan expression, "The fact that you are, indeed, the primordial goddess of death who was created and raised by the father of all gods."
Amaranth chuckled, "And now, it is you who has become the god of death. You have the authority to prove it."
Basillius groaned, "Ugh let's just go talk to the GC government and drop this whole god thing. I've spent half a millennia fighting that title and I'm not gonna flip my opinion on my own 'godliness' just because I got some extra power. Power doesn't make the god."
Amaranth rolled her eyes at him and sighed, "Fine, have it your way, stubborn old man. Let's go save these lesser beings from becoming food for my brother's children."
Basillius turned to Mizan, "Can you think really hard about whatever building your government would be using right now? Specifically somewhere Amaranth and I would fit, along with a couple of others."
Mizan looked at him curiously but thought of the main Council Chamber where all the laws, debates, and discussions were had. Basillius touched a finger to her forehead and channeled some energy into his other hand. The telltale flickering flames appeared and he let go of Mizan, putting his focus on the rift.
