《Hide and Aizawa》HA1 3.1 - Body Conditioning

Unlike schools in general, Kitaro Music School adopted a six-day learning system. It's just that, on Saturdays the lessons were focused on musical practice and only last until 11 o'clock.
Hide had completed the archive program that Kaede Sensei requested. So he decided that Aizawa should use the shuttle service starting today. As soon as Aizawa left, Hide then went to Totsuka Tower to deliver the second deposit of 30 thousand Dillar or the equivalent of 3 million Ren.
The second deposit made Hide and Aizawa each get a pair of Vrada N5 Notebook and Vrada S5 Smartphone. After that, Hide went to Beauty & The Beast to take the bet money he won.
In 2022, the Nikko Government issued a policy to prohibit all forms of online gambling. And so, bet placement must used cash money and be made face-to-face, not by telephone, email, or other written messages.
Most people did not understand why Nikko Government issued such a strange policy, while the big players in the underground world incessantly cursed because they just lost one of the greatest methods of money laundering.
Then, when the turmoil in the underground world was almost past boiling point, four money laundering syndicates from abroad entered to provide a solution, and it took 12 years before a novice journalist discovered that the four money laundering syndicates were an extension of National Security Service to finance their illegal operations.
Although NSS currently had a deep roots in the underground network of illegal funds, Nikko government had not lifted the ban on online gambling. One thing that annoyed Hide to the core because it made him unable to place massive bets using multi fake IDs. In addition, this also made him have to meet Hanna face to face and accept her wrath.
While giving Hide a sharp gaze, Hanna said, "Well, you said the bet you placed was your father's. So why did you put the money into your account?"
Hide glanced at the withdrawal slip he just handed over to Hanna before answering, "To be honest, it's because I'm worried that you won't let me place the bet."
Hide handed a parcel of pickled peaches in front of Hanna before continuing, "And this is a small gift because you gave me tips regarding the injury suffered by Yuko Mountain's main striker."

Hanna looked at the parcel filled with pickled peaches in glass cups before sighing deeply. The pickled peach was imported from Republic of Hoa and was one of the premium products in its class. A hint of reluctance appeared in Hanna's heart, but only for a moment because she remembered that Hide had won the 2.5 million Ren bet.
After the injury suffered by the Yuko Mountain striker became widespread, the bet rate between Nakamura Ocean vs Yuko Mountain changed drastically to 0.5: 5, and of course no one would have thought that Yuko Mountain would win, except for Hide.
"Hide, you're super lucky because you managed to win. However, if you lose, 500 thousand Ren will just evaporate. So, next time you want to bet, think it carefully first."
Seeing Hide nodded in seriousness, Hanna's expression softened and she immediately grabbed the parcel in front of her.
"Thanks for the peaches."
"You're welcome."
Hide answered cheerfully, while in his heart he desperately refrained from telling Hanna that he bought the parcel when there was a buy two get one discount.
'Never spoil a woman's mood. No matter how good your intentions are.'
Hide muttered to himself, while Hanna cheerfully processed the bet money withdrawal he won.
After he received a notification via smartphone that 2.5 million Ren had just entered his account, Hide immediately said, "I also want to be a member of Beauty & The Beast."
Hanna smiled before answering, "I can suggest a few programs, but first I have to know what kind of results you expect."
"Body development with a focus on flexibility, explosive power, endurance. I also need a regular sports massage."
Hanna looked at Hide for a while before asking, "Are you a member of the MMA or some other martial arts club?"
"No, I just want my body to be fully developed and always in peak condition."
Hanna pondered for a while before saying, "The price for the program you requested is 18 thousand Ren/month, but the biggest problem is, it is called a program for masochists because the process is excruciatingly painful and tiring."
"I know."
"Other consultants for the program will ask you to pay directly the fees for the first four months. However, if you choose me, I don't mind if you pay monthly so you can stop any time."

Hide gasped for a moment before speaking, "I thought you were just a receptionist."
"Beauty & The Beast does not employ a dedicated receptionist. All the receptionists here are fitness consultants, nutritionists, or body development program experts who are on duty alternately.
I also have a diet class for female office workers in the morning, and accompany boxing athletes during the day, and for your information the two boxers I accompany are national-level title holders."
Hide nodded before saying, "Then I will choose you."
"Good."
Hanna smiled cheerfully, then took Hide to one of the fitness rooms on the 2nd floor.
---
After measuring weight, height, shoulder width, chest circumference, waist circumference, thigh circumference, the distance of elbow to shoulder and elbow to wrist, the distance of ankle to knee, width and foot pattern, Hanna then looked at Hide with sparkling eyes.
"If you enter the military or an MMA club, they will surely welcome you with a smile from ear to ear."
Not long after that, Hanna began to squeeze some parts of Hide's body and immediately grinned from ear to ear.
"Looks like you started practicing over the last few days. Can you tell me the details?"
Hide nodded slightly before explaining, "Push-ups, sit-ups, squats, lunges, and other basic exercises. As for my fitness level, heart and lung capacity, I can do a full-power run up to 50 meters, return to the starting point by walking, then run 100 meters and walk to the starting point. I repeat the cycle to 400 meters and I can do up to 5 sets without throwing up."
Hanna looked at Hide curiously before saying, "Without throwing up heh. . ."
"Yeah."
"Well, that could be mean you're not running full-power or your body has a very good foundation. Whatever it is we'll find out in the next few days."
After asking questions about daily routines, allergies to food or drugs, and several other things, Hanna then gave Hide the final explanation.
The program menu would be sent via email in a few days. Of course, in the future the menu would be corrected according to Hide development. And even if he didn't complete all the menu, he had to stop the morning exercise within 2 hours, not including warm-up.
Hide also had to train in Beauty & The Beast at 15:30 - 17:00 five days a week. On odd days he would do a short fast. A full-power run with the shortest duration of 10 minutes and the longest duration of 40 minutes, to build explosive power.
While on even days he would do a long swim without pause for 40 minutes to build endurance without the need to overload his feet. After running or swimming he would get a sports massage to reduce pain, soreness, and tension in muscles so that the next day he could train as usual.
The program also included access to all the fitness facilities at Beauty & The Beast. So in addition to the menu he received from Hanna, Hide could train in Beauty & The Beast anytime 24/7.
"Okay."
Hide nodded slightly, and after some small talk, he excused himself because he had to get home before Aizawa.
---
Hide house and Beauty & The Beast were not far away. So when Aizawa came home Hide already prepared the lunch.
After lunch Hide then showed Vrada S5 to Aizawa while saying, "Starting today you can use Big Bro's smartphone and Big Bro will also teach you how to use a computer. But you have to help Big Bro clean the house, wash dishes, and exercise with Big Bro in the backyard every morning."
Aizawa nodded her head while her clear eyes sparkled at the Vrada S5 in Hide's hand.
"Can Aizawa take it to school?"
"No, when you leave the house you can use your old cellphone."
"But Aizawa's cellphone can only be used to make calls, send text, or e-mails."
Seeing Aizawa pouting her lips, Hide smiled inwardly because it indicated that Aizawa was no longer anxious when she was around him.
"Well, your cellphone is only intended for communication. Also, you can only use Big Bro's smartphone if you have finished school work and have to get to bed before half-past ten at night."
"Mhm."
Aizawa nodded firmly and Hide immediately handed over the Vrada S5 to her. Not long after that, Aizawa was drowning and busy tinkering with her new toy.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

The Draw Of The Unknown
Mia Campbell is your average introverted loner. Not exactly satisfied with her life doing pretty much nothing of import, she's also not that willing to break out and make a change. Until, without any preamble or warning, she is bestowed with a cryptic system that both grants her magical powers, and also operates on the logic of a card game. Things begin to escalate from there. **This project is a bit of an experiment! For any given chapter, Mia's 'decklist' will be built by the community, over on our Discord server. If you find this amusing, and want to participate in the discussion, as well as find the complete list of cards, you will be able to find the link to the Discord server at the end of each chapter. Discussion in the comments is also encouraged and included as well. Each chapter and/or scenario will be intentional, but the cards used will be chosen by you guys. And the draws made will be done via actual drawing of cards during the writing process, for bonus author street cred.**
