Today before Tomorrow

I’m Ace, one who’s combining these stories. I used to live in a place called Earth, in a country called South Korea. However, 4 months ago, in the new year of 2021. I found a portal to this world. This new world is really cool, it is a bit similar to the game I used to play, so I managed to become level 39 quickly, using my knowledge of that game. I am currently, level 23 Illusionist, level 3 philosopher, level 5 scholar, level 3 spy, level 5 thief.

Ha? Why progress to philosopher? Well, in the real world, I liked philosophy. Plus, illusionists and philosophers have some good synergy perks and skills. So yes, I think that explains it. Well, yall probably don’t know how this world works. Don’t worry though, you’ll get to know it better as the story goes on.

Melarie's part (lvl2 not so smart)

So Red Point and I decided to rest, he explained how the leveling system works, it was just blah blah blah, and then he gave me a manual. Pain of not being able to read combined with the pain of past days, came to me like a gigantic wave and I started to cry. I remember him hugging me and whispering comfortable words, then I fell asleep.

I woke up to the sounds of crickets. I think I had a really good dream, I found Red Point and slayed the prince and the guards with a couple swings. Too bad that it’s probably just a dream. I mean, I don’t see Red Point in my line of sight, and when I can’t see it, it means it doesn’t exist. Hmm… that’s how it works, right? However, when I tried to walk, I found the spear, which i accidently kicked. Red Point popped out of nowhere after I kicked the spear.

“Alright Melarie, today we are going to start training,” he announced.

“I know it has been 6000 years since the legend died and a lot has probably changed but the basics are always the same.”

Wait 6000 years? What does he mean by that?

“What do you mean 6000 years? It has only been 60!”

Alright so hmmm… Melarie just told me only 60 years passed since the legend died, that’s mmm… unexpectant. I was so sure that 6000 years passed, that I didn’t consider the chance of him making time in the room flow differently than outside.

Eh, he probably did that on purpose, maybe he wanted nobody to inherit his legacy and be left mysterious and legendary. Too bad for him, Melarie found me as I was about to run out of books to eat. Well it sort of is funny to think of this simple fisherin is a savior of my life, well, it is what it is, and I will make her a legend.

“Mmm… Red Point? What are you thinking?”

“Nothing, let’s just start training now. Dragon slayers can learn weapon weight changing technique at about dragon slayer ultraclass level 15 to 25, you can choose other skills instead of this, such as dragon dash or faster crush but I think this technique is the best out of those 3 since im a spirit weapon. Anyways, by using this technique I’ll be changing the weight of this spear, try to carry it in your hands.

So I'm just gonna make it 60 kilograms (132.277 pounds), now let’s see how she does it. Mmm… ok she is mmm… not doing so well. The instant I changed the weight of the spear, she started to look exhausted and then a couple seconds later, she started sweating, soon after that, she fell down to the ground.

"Alright Melarie, crawl with the spear if you can't carry it while walking." Alright I know I'm being a bit cruel but she needs my cruelness to train hard. Without training like a training freak she won’t be able to catch up to other rogues who started progressing since they were like 5 years old. I also heard that people from the northern desert, from countries like Exel Union, Bi Jalbkan Union, or Coastal Republic are really strong. That's probably because Exel Union is the most developed country in magics and coastal republic people have tons of experience in fighting, while Bi Jalbkan union is close to those 2 countries. For people who might be listening to the stories of this future legend, we are currently at Hab Kingdom. It is the most human concentrated country that discriminates against skylanders (fisherins, zinds), halfkinds (half-cat kinds, half-dog kinds, half-snake kinds and so on), robian, scrooms, elfs and even demons (lesser dragon, red demon).

Oh, I sidetracked too much, let's get back to the point.

"I'm going to suffer a major muscle ache tomorrow," yowled Melarie.
