The Moon Mailman looked up, tails of bright pink comets illuminated the purple sky above him. He wanted to savor this moment just for a second more, just for another day, but he knew his wish couldn't be granted. He had a job to do.
The moon was full of craters with domes of glass in them. Next to every dome was a mailbox, that was mailman's everyday destination.
Night after night, day after day, the mailman delivered white coins to each box. In return, he would get the gray ones. Upon mailman's touch, the gray color would be purged from the coins and travel to his body, which right now was as black as the darkest abyss.
I don't like my color. - The mailman thought to himself as he rested next to a wind farm. - It hurts.
The mailman stood up and removed dust from his space suit. - "But I promised."
