《INTO THE ARCHAILECT》CHAPTER 11

The cold frigid wind at the top of the mountain blew as Moyo stepped into the cavern that had been created right in there. Gripping his pole tightly, his awareness of the size of the room got him glancing around, he tried sensing his master with a burst of his realm, coming up with nothing, perhaps Ajax had left or he wasn't in the right place?. The notification that came up in his Hud dispelled that notion immediately,
Notice: you have entered the vicinity of the dungeon boss, it is now aware of you!. The exit has been sealed till either you or the boss is dead!.
Right before his eyes, the boss showed up, withdrawing itself from the wall it had seemed to have camouflaged itself from. Moyo stayed rooted in a spot as the sheer size of the serpentine creature came into view, realizing this battle was not going to be easy in the least, not against this monstrosity. With its length being approximately 10 feet long with green hard scales that seemed to glitter in the light of the sun, realizing they were indeed crystallized scales, yellow eyes that glinted with pure hatred, and a forked tongue that dripped some sort of corrosive liquid, Moyo began to wonder what he might have done to get it this angry, the notification of the creature drove the fear of God into him.
Kyrgos, poison breath (Wyrm) level 50
This soon to evolve serpentine dragonkin is a creature born of ambition and wrath, crawling its way to the edge of evolution, it has adapted itself to its environment as the top predator. With scales made of crystallized aether beneath its durable leather like skin, this monster of nature was built for durability and strength, also equipped with corrosive poison that burns through any substance at a rapid rate, it ensures its victim dies a slow painful death.
Grimly accepting his predicament, he took a step forward, blasting his realm of the titan at full force, watching as the Wyrm roared in reply and stepped into the realm,
Tore into the realm,
No effect whatsoever on the Wyrm, Moyo rolled and dodged its claws that left marks on the cavern walls. Getting to his feet and sending an edge of the titan attack in retaliation, he watched it spark off the scales of the body. grimacing at his plight, realizing his most potent attack did not affect the beast he moved backward. The Wyrm coiled its body around itself, rearing its head up, and began spitting its corrosive poison at Moyo who began a deadly dance of dodging its shot, dreadfully being aware that it was reducing his area of mobility, cursing quietly he activated his realm again and at once narrowing the battle intent blades around the beast, sparks flying off its body till one tore into its left eye, blood spilling out as it roared in pain.
Moyo got his answer there, it was quite evident he would need to hit the soft parts of its body, but apart from its eyes, Moyo had no other idea where he could hit. So lost in thought he was that the beast managed to glance a shot of its corrosive poison on his shoulder as blinding pain tore through his body and mind, titans' wrath body withstanding it felt like hell, nothing he had gone through could compare to this level of pain, barring the lava bath, this was excruciating, he heard and felt the tail of the beast slam him into him and crushing him against the cavern wall that cracked on contact with his body, along with his ribs.

Cursing to himself he weathered the pain and dashed to another corner of the room, his pole held tightly in his hand he shouted in defiance and unleashed another realm on the beast, calling down a barrage of blade edges on the beast, focusing it on its skull in anger and hearing a tearing sound as the other eye of the beast got sliced along with its protruding tongue. Poison blasted out from the remaining half of the tongue stuck in its mouth and splashed on Moyo who screamed in a mixture of raw pain and anger. His subconscious doing what Ajax had taught him in their countless hours of battle and wrapping his pole with battle intent so tightly that it vibrated with potency and power. With the mindless rage of a warrior, he ran towards the beast that turned in his direction and in a burst of speed wrapped its serpentine body around him, trying to crush him.
Moyo had expected that raising his polearm in anticipation and groaning as it began crushing his body in a python grip, he let it drag him closer and with the rage he had, Moyo stabbed the pole with battle intent straight through the eye of the beast and into its brain. Ribs shattered, skin a sickly green color, blood leaking from his eyes and mouth, Moyo felt the beast seize up, the light dying from its eyes as its hold on him slackened and dropped him to the ground. Feeling his heartbeat slowing down Moyo turned his head to the position of the beast, body mangled like a car accident discovery he willed his blood absorption skill on the Wyrm, feeling his body assimilate the poison's potency through its blood and integrate it into his body, killing off its deadly effects slowly but surely.
Sight dizzy, his body a mess, he heard slow claps and smiled in reflex, his master's blurry form appearing before him, then his mind and body shut down as his eyes and thoughts became blank.
Ajax was pretty sure he would have been forced to step in the fight, grinning as he pried his disciples' metal pole out of his clenched fist, nodding in appreciation as Moyos' hands fought him reflexively, a worthy swordsman indeed. Damn whatever rules he had been given, he wasn't going to allow such an asset to die off prematurely due to facing a member of the draconic race, albeit lesser kin but one on the verge of evolving. Looking at the body of the dead beast he grinned again, the boy had taken the full blast of the Wyrm at face level, few…acolytes could boast of that, their bodies would melt off in excruciating pain, their body enhancing elixirs not strong enough to withstand the poisoned corrosive breath.
Whistling to himself as he produced his katana from a spatial rip, he flicked it while using his very intent to raise the beast, the scales on its body shattering the scales with ease and skinning the skin the beast. Ajax took a large bowl from his spatial rip and placed it below the beast, splitting its head open and turning the beast upside down to drain its blood or what was left of it into the bowl after his disciple had used his skill of blood absorption on it, what remained would do for the forging process. Skinning the beast, he took a few of its bones and placed in on the ground, walking up to his disciple whose body had almost completed its healing, all signs of poison in his body were gone, his skin reverting to his darkened state. He tore open a vein in his arm, draining Moyos' blood into the same bowl that contained the blood of the Wyrm and then letting his body heal back.

The blood frothed as they came in contact with each other, not paying any mind he sat down on the ground near the spatial rip he had opened, drew a hammer out of it, and began the crush the bones with a force so potent the cavern vibrated a little with every hit, his mind wandering elsewhere as he did the task subconsciously, having done it multiple times. Ajax wasn't sure his disciple would be ready to fly the banner of the school of the reaping katana when the….event came up, perhaps he could lie to the ruler that the child had died in the dungeon, it would spare him any deadly future. Shaking his head at the futility of that path, the ruler could send an agent to verify the authenticity of that claim.
Till now Ajax had no inkling of an idea of what could draw the interest of the ruler to a backwater planet that had just been assimilated and a child of no significance at all in the politics of solar systems. Resolving to do what he had always done, he would let this game play out, and if he had taught his disciple anything, it was the katana always advances, he would survive this ordeal or die fighting, Ajax silently prayed he did survive indeed.
With a groan Moyo felt himself returning to consciousness, opening his eyes as his first instinct was to clench his polearm tight, with dread he realized his pole wasn't in his arm. Sitting up to see his master with his pole resting close to him, Ajax looked up at him from where he had somehow gotten what looked like a furnace made out of a hole in the cavern wall, the smoke pouring out from the heated rocks that glowed red,
"Ah, you're awake, sure took your time," Ajax said glancing at him,
"Apologies master, the poison from the Wyrm and it crushing my body to a pulp delayed me," Moyo said with a straight face,
"getting sarcastic are you?, well no matter, come over here, despite your embarrassing princess display of falling unconscious after a little scare from an overgrown worm, you have proven yourself a swordsman through and through, it's time to forge your a blade," Ajax said offhandedly,
All retorts died on the lips of Moyo as he moved so quickly beside his master who chuckled, watching as Ajax took the pole and placed it in a thick crucible after bending the pole in two with his bare hands, Moyo quietly observed that his strength stat had to be crazily high to be able to do that. After placing the crucible, a thick container used for melting substances into the makeshift oven, Ajax glanced at him,
"You might want to check your notifications, never leave them pending unless you need to," Ajax said,
Remembering what had happened and seeing the desiccated body of the Wyrm on the ground, Moyo giddily brought up his Hud,
Congratulations! For slaying the boss of the dungeon, you have obtained:

Moyo sat back in shock, sending his stat table to his master who whistled in appreciation,
"It seems to be the first of your planet to accomplish significant events is paying off," Ajax said,
Moyo viewed his table again,

His mind-boggling at the fact that he had no uncommon skills any longer and only rare skills, also the fact he had the slot for 5 more extra skills. Glancing at his attributes he grinned as he realized he had somehow gotten 100 points in all areas probably due to the strength of his new body, even his intelligence had gotten a boost. Automatically he allocated 200 to his willpower rounding it up to 700 and placed the remaining 150 in his strength.
Again, he felt another rush in his body, his mind-expanding as his now sufficient willpower took notice of every little thing in his surroundings. Hopping to his feet with a whoop he skipped in one step towards his master who raised an eyebrow at him and knocked him with a speed that Moyo still couldn't see, feeling a sharp pain in his head and wondering if his leveling was even worth anything in the eyes of his master,
"Never forget you're still a cub in the eyes of the archailect, nothing but a speck to the monsters in the collective of worlds, heck even the messenger that proclaimed the news to your world was a bloody level 500," Ajax said,
Moyo sobered up immediately, watching his master arrange the bowls of white powder, a red liquid he guessed was the blood that came from the Wyrm and the broken-down crystals from the scales of the Wyrm, Moyo shook with giddiness in expectation of his blade. Ajax began lecturing him as he mixed the white powder, which he said were the bones of the Wyrm in the boiling metal,
"The art of forging a katana differs from school to school in the archailect, the school of the reaping katana integrates the first significant kill of a disciple into their blade. It defines what form and characteristics the blade would hold; the forger is merely dancing to the tune of the blade"
Adding the blood of the Wyrm and also to Moyos' shock what Ajax explained was a bit of his blood that was in the mixture, Ajax continued,
"Due to the aether being used to heat the rocks and the intent of the forger, the process becomes quicker, a lot quicker, merely an hour-long as compared to the usual 72 hours it usually took to heat the rocks to the degree needed"
Soon the metal had formed again, giving a red and blue hue, Ajax gave Moyo the hammer and pointed at the heated metal,
"Begin hammering at the metal to remove the impurities, focus your willpower on the first characteristics you intend the sword to have"
Moyo took the hammer and began pounding at the metal with all his willpower focused on it, willing the blade to hold the strength of a titan he had begun to envision he was, he intended the blade to be his weapon for defending his world, his friends that may or may not be alive. He felt the immediate area around the blade begin to somehow warp, perhaps it was his mind playing tricks on him he had no idea, but he continued to pound the metal till his master drew his attention back to his surrounding with a touch, he saw the metal glowing red and blue,
Ajax returned the metal to the forge,
"It will need to be heated again and then pounded again with the next characteristics"
Bringing out the blade from the forge Moyo began pounding again, willing the blade to grow from the power of his foes, to gorge itself on the very energy of his foe to keep growing. Passing it back into the furnace, Moyo wiped the sweat from his face, his willpower steadily holding on. Ajax turned to him, sprinkling the aether crystal dust on the metal,
"The last characteristics to be the sense of identity the katana must reflect, mine reflects the silence of death, the finality that comes with it, pick wisely"
Moyo gripped the hammer tight, already envisioning what he wanted. With every hit he pressed it into the blade, even as it began to hum with a certain vibration, finally, Ajax took the blade and dipped it inside cold water as it sizzled. producing the skin of the Wyrm, Ajax proceeded to wrap it over the wooden hilt he had created for the blade, watching as the skin merged with the hilt symbiotically.
Finally, the blade was done, its wooden scabbard created also, Moyo observed the blade, Ajax nodded in satisfaction,
"Not bad for a katana"
Name: Dominion (soul bond weapon)
Type: katana
Tier: Rare
Evolution: 0%
Attributes:
Unbreakable: This blade has been dipped in draconic blood and bone, nothing short of full draconic might can cause damage to it.
Drainer: dominion can absorb a portion of a foes' might to ingest towards its evolution
Presence: dominion true to his name can channel the realm of the swordsman of the crushing blade to manipulate gravity in the realm to devastating levels.
staring at the blade with awe in his eyes, Moyo held the blade with reverence in his eyes as Ajax snorted,
"it's a katana, a tool to be wielded in battle, not a woman," Ajax said,
Moyo felt dominion hum with pleasure in his hand, facing the entrance to the cave, he walked out and unleashed his upgraded skill blade of the titan. The very air around him responded with ease, his blade glowing a dull hue of red and blue and battle intent flashing out to sever the top of the trees in sight, the very weight and sharpness of his blade evident. Moyo turned back to Ajax who had begun placing objects back into his spatial rip, Moyo proceeded to kneel and bow silently, aware his master knew what he was doing but chose to remain quiet.
Ajax finally turned to him, sitting on a rock,
"Raise your head acolyte, it's time we talk about your future," Ajax said,
Moyo raised himself to sit lotus style,
"Future?" he asked,
"Indeed, you my young disciple, are about to become a pawn in a cosmic struggle, but before I talk" Ajax started, standing up as he drew his katana,
Moyo sighed, rolling his eyes at his battle-crazed master,
"I'd have to pry it out of you" Moyo finished as he unleashed his realm, Ajax laughing out while moving to clash with him…

As an author, I'd like to interact with my community and get ideas and what I can improve on. I'm not perfect and don't expect a masterpiece. I may have a bit of experience writing as a hobby, I make mistakes and my style is a bit rough around the edges. I hope you stick around and watch me build this story up. I don't have a predetermined schedule and the releases will be slow. Since I got college, my schedule is most likely 1-2 chapters a month but that shouldn't be that bad since I get some time to think about what I can write in the story. Again, my apologies for that. I hope I have your support moving forward and that you enjoy the characters and their journies.
