Large Living Room
Elora was sitting in the middle of the couch as she took a sip of tea while she watched her daughter trying to remove Reiki’s shirt. Moranor’s arms were wrapped around Reiki’s stomach as she tried to get him to stay still, she said. “Enora, I-” Reiki tried to jump as he almost managed to slip away from her hands. Enora reflexively took a step back as she placed a hand on his shoulder to keep him down, she said. “How about you get a better hold on him?” Moranor glared at her as she spoke in a slightly aggressive tone, she said. “How about you get his shirt off?”
The mud on Reiki’s shirt and pants already dried as he tried to slip away from Moranor’s grasp, he thought. Why aren’t the parents interfering? He glanced at the couch and saw Elora taking her time enjoying a cup of tea while Melanor appeared by the door as she made her way to the couch and said. “I’m back, I managed to find Enrel new underwear to use.” She saw the two young elves trying to get Reiki’s clothes off as she reached for the tea kettle on the coffee table and poured herself a cup.
Melanor sat on the couch beside Elora and said. “How long have they been doing that?” Enora grabbed Reiki’s shirt as she tried to pull it off, showing his faintly-toned stomach. Elora stared at the two elves struggling, she said. “At least a good five minutes.” The shirt made a slight tearing sound as Enora refused to let go, Reiki had a hint of panic in his voice and said. “Wait, we can talk about this.” His shirt slightly tore on the edge as it slipped off him as Enora took a few steps back while holding onto it.
She had a victorious smile on her face as she waved his shirt around and said. “Ha! I win!” Moranor’s reaction was a split second late as a faint blush appeared on her cheeks as she let go of him. Elora raised a brow at him and thought. Nice body. Reiki let out a sigh as he ignored the gazes on his slightly toned body with a very faint outline of a six-pack. Enora’s eyes subconsciously wandered onto his body as she didn’t know she was staring at him.
Reiki extended his right hand and said. “Can I have my shirt back?” Enora snapped back to her senses as she faked a cough to hide the faint blush on her cheeks, she said. “H-Here.” She tossed it at him. Reiki caught the shirt mid-air as he looked at the decent-sized tear on the side, he thought. Onee-chan’s going to kill me for this… Melanor was staring at his body with a serious expression, she said. “Good for you, Mora. Seems like Reiki has a similar build as you.” The blush on Moranor’s face deepened as it reached her long pointy ears, she said. “Mom!”
Reiki turned his head sideways to look at Elora who was pouring herself another cup of tea, he said. “Your majesty, do you mind giving me a set of clothes?” Light brown liquid trickled down into her teacup as she placed the kettle down, Elora said. “You can have an entire closet of them.” She picked up her cup of tea using the handle, Elora continued. “And please, call me Elora.” She let out a playful laugh as she spoke with a teasing tone and said. “I’ll even be fine with you calling me mom.”

A faint blush appeared on Enora’s face as she softly bit her lower lip. Reiki placed his shirt over his shoulder covering part of his upper body, he said. “Sure, Elora, Melanor. If you need me I’ll be in the bathroom cleaning up.” He made his way to the door leading outside and continued. “I’ll ask one of the elves for help, oh. And I’m going to bring a team of lawyers to sue both your daughters for the damages.” Melanor stared at her daughter who couldn’t move her eyes away from Reiki as she failed to notice her mother staring at her.
Elora’s lips curled into a slight smile, she said. “I hope you have the money to back that claim up.” Reiki lazily waved at them without looking back as he opened the door and closed it behind him. Enrel had a refreshed look on her face as the bags under her eyes visibly lessened, she said. “Reiki, are you interested in a-.” She saw the flushed faces of Enora and Moranor as she looked around the room, Enrel continued. “Where’d he go?” Melanor took a small whiff of the fragrant brew of tea from her cup, she said. “He needed a bath.”

Outside Elora’s House
Reiki was wearing a green tunic and brown pants paired with his sports shoes, he had his arms crossed while Moranor and Enora were all smiles. He glanced around and thought. They cleaned up the mud. The door opened as Melanor, Elora, and Enrel walked out of the large wooden house. Reiki let out a sigh and said. “This time, even if you burn my clothes, and I have nothing to wear. I will go home naked. Bye.” Elora let out a chuckle, she said. “Reiki, our girls won’t go that far.”
Moranor glanced at the corner of her eye as she stared at some trees while Enora was whistling a soft tune. Enrel gave Reiki a business smile and said. “Reiki, how would you like to-.” Melanor placed a hand on Enlre’s mouth making her stop before she could get a sentence out, she said. “I think we should leave the lovebirds alone.” Reiki looked around and said. “Have any of you seen Cherry?” Elora’s eyes lit up as she spoke with a hint of excitement, she said. “If she finds anything it’s elven property.”
Enora let out a sigh as she pretended to shove her mother by the shoulders, she said. “Mom, you’re embarrassing me.” Melanor was ignoring the hostile glare Enrel was giving her as she gave her daughter a meaningful look and said. “I’m guessing you also want me out of your hair.” Moranor had a faint blush on her cheeks as she pinched some of her long light goldish hair, she said. “I mean… I won’t mind if you suddenly had something to do.” Melanor gave her daughter a smile and said. “Go for it.” She did a half turn and made her way back into Elora’s house.
Elora gave her daughter a playful pinch on the cheek, she said. “Fine fine, go have fun with your husband.” Enora was about to say something but stopped as she processed what her mother said and froze as her entire face turned red. Melanor opened the door as she dragged a furious Enrel as Elora walked back into her home and closed the door. Reiki stared at the two shy and meek elves and thought. Other families would be against giving their daughters away… He cleared his throat which got the two young elves' attention as the blush on their faces lessened.

Reiki spread his arms and said. “Goodbye hug?” Enora let out a chuckle as her lips curled into a small smirk, she said. “A hug? How old do you think I am? Fifty-?” Before she could finish Moranor was already standing in front of him with some strings of lightning traveling behind her back. Moranor faked a cough as a faint blush appeared on her cheeks, she said. “... Fine, since you asked nicely.” Moranor hugged him as Reiki’s face was buried between her average size chest. Enora’s pupils glowed an icy blue color as she glared at them.
From the corner of his eye, Reiki noticed the doorknob carefully being turned as three sets of eyes peeked through the gap. He thought. I knew they weren’t going to miss a show. The glow in Enora’s eyes was slowly getting brighter as she spoke in a cold tone and said. “Ahem, you two aren’t the only ones here.” Moranor gently hugged him as she spoke in a whisper, she said. “I wish we were though.” Reiki felt the temperature drop down as he exhaled and saw the white condensation of his breath, he thought. Hopefully, she won’t throw icicles at us.
Moranor stopped hugging him as she kept her right arm around his shoulders, she said. “Young majesty, is there anything wrong with what I’m doing?” Enora opened her mouth to say something but couldn’t muster any words, she gritted her teeth and said. “How about you put an end to your shameful behavior?” Reiki didn’t say anything as he watched the two elves argue while glancing at the slightly ajar door with three pairs of eyes watching. Moranor raised a brow at her, she said. “I’m just giving my lover a hug before he goes his way.”
Moranor realized what she said as her entire face slowly turned red from embarrassment while her lips subconsciously curled into a smile that she couldn't control. Enora’s pupils looked like a solid blue with a small circle of white in the middle as a small portion of the ground she stood on had a thin layer of ice slowly growing.
[System: User has received 21 ice Damage.]
Reiki felt a sharp sting on his left forearm as he glanced at it and on his skin was a small crystal blue line, he touched it as he felt the cold temperature on his fingers. Reiki thought. Moranor, I’ll take it from here. I don’t want to experience what it feels to be a living ice statue.
Moranor didn’t notice Enora’s expression which was slowly becoming more dangerous as Reiki faked a cough and said. “Nora, how about you get over and let me give you a kiss on your forehead?” The icy blue glow in Enora’s pupils slowly dissipated while a faint blush appeared on her cheeks, she crossed her arms and started acting shy and meek all of a sudden. Reiki kept a straight face and thought. Thank god she’s an amateur.

Inside Elora’s House By The Front Door
Melanor was squatting as she had a serious expression on her face while watching over her daughter, she said. “Honey, don’t let her be the only one to get a kiss on the forehead.” Elora was leaning forward as she rested her large chest on top of Melanor’s head as she had a dissatisfied look on her face, she let out a sigh and said. “Nora, keep your calm. Mora’s angering you intentionally.” Enrel was standing straight as she was peeking above Elora through the slightly opened door, she said. “At the rate they're progressing, we’ll have white hair first before grandchildren.”
Elora shook her head sideways and said. “We don’t have to worry about that, once Reiki hits puberty we might have to worry about early pregnancy instead.” She glanced up to look at Enrel as Melanor suddenly grabbed the door with her hand as she spoke in a slightly fervent tone and said. “She’s moving! Elora, your daughter’s making her way toward Reiki.” The three elves immediately went silent as they focused on Enora who was standing in front of Reiki as she slowly leaned forward.
Elora grabbed Melanor’s shoulder as she slightly shook her while Melanor enjoyed the sensation of the large bust behind her head. Elora said. “Don’t be such a coward! At your age, I already experimented with-!” Melanor placed a hand over her lover's mouth as she felt the questioning gaze from Enrel as a faint blush appeared on her cheeks. Enrel stared at her two friends as she moved her gaze back onto Reiki who grabbed Enora’s shirt to pull her head as he tenderly kissed her forehead. Enora’s entire face turned red as some steam was emitted from the top of her head.
Reiki gave the two young elves a hug each as he waved them goodbye with a smile as he made his way back home. Elora shocked her head sideways as a hint of disappointment formed on her expression as she stood up straight moving her large chest away from the back of Melanor’s head. Elora said. “That’s it? I expected more from them.” Melanor slowly stood up as she had a slight look of understanding on her face and said. “I mean, they haven’t even talked about making their relationship official.” Enrel closed the door as she crossed her arms, she said. “You two are their mothers, right?”
Elora waved her hand dismissively at her and said. “It’s not like we're forcing them to do something-.” The doorknob of the door leading outside suddenly turned as the three of them vanished from the hallway. The door opened as Enora walked in with a completely flushed face and closed the door behind her as Moranor was a few steps behind her. Enora placed her hands on her cheeks to feel her flushed face as the door behind her opened as Moranor wasn’t even angry. Moranor had a dazed look on her expression as her entire face suddenly turned red.
She said. “I’m taking the day off.” Enora didn’t even hear what she said as she blanky nodded while keeping her hands on her cheeks, she said. “Yeah…” Moranor closed the door leaving Enora alone as her flushed face became even redder, her long pointy ears slightly jolted as she heard the faint sound of footsteps coming closer. Enora took a deep breath as her flushed face slightly turned back to normal, she placed her hands to the side and took a few steps forward.
The sound of footsteps got louder as Elora walked into her view as her mother made her way closer. Elora pretended not to notice half of her daughter’s face was still flushed and said. “I’m guessing Reiki took his leave.” Enora gave her mother a nod as she tried to keep a straight face. The corner of Elora’s lips curled into a smirk, she said. “And you’ve said all of your goodbyes?” Enora cleared her throat and said. “Y-Yeah, we already talked.” Elora gave her a small nod and continued. “Where’s Mora?” Enora crossed her arms making her large chest press against each other, she said. “I gave her the day off.’
Enora thought. Fuck, I wanted to see her reaction. She subconsciously stared at her daughter without noticing which made Enora break the stare as she glanced to the side to stare at the wall. Enora continued her train of thought. Maybe we should’ve casted invisibility on ourselves and watched from the sides… Enora acted shy and meek as she moved her gaze onto the floor and spoke in a whisper, she said. “Mom, I’m going to my room.” Enora snapped back to her senses as she faked a cough and said. “Sure, if you need me. I’ll be at Melanor’s house.”

Elven Library
Saria was staring at all the empty chairs and tables, she turned her head sideways and glanced at the reception table with no one behind it. She spoke under her breath and said. “Today’s my last day here…” She didn’t notice Reiki standing beside her as he cleared his throat, he said. “Am I interrupting something?” Saria snapped back to reality as she did a half turn to face him and took a step back in surprise, she said. “Reiki!” He gave her a wave and said. “Hey.” Saria regained her cool as she quickly inhaled through her nose, she said. “Y-You called me here for?”
Reiki gestured at her and said. “I’ll make this quick, I need your help. All you have to do is have lunch with and a couple of other people… Inside human territory.” Saria had a hint of disappointment on her face, she said. “Is that all?” Reiki gave her a nod and said. “Yeah, you don’t have to worry about the meal. It’ll be covered by me and all we have to do is catch up.” Saria gave him a forced smile as she awkwardly glanced around the library, she said. “I can easily do that.”
Reiki gave her a smile and said. “Thanks for the help, I’ll pay you back.” He pointed at the door behind him as he continued. “I’m in a hurry so I won’t take up more of your time.” From the corner of his eyes he saw a faint shadow of a figure move, Reiki thought. I already told them I wasn’t going to do anything shady with her. Saria faked a laugh and said. “That’s fine, I needed to…” She glanced at the reception table as she continued. “Organized some papers…” Reiki said. “I’ll see you next time.” He made his way to the door while Saria stared at his back.

Ketsueki’s Room
~Twenty Minutes Later~
Sachi was holding onto a cylinder-shaped glass with tea in it as she gently blow on the top. Ketsueki had a slightly bored expression on her face as she stared at the glass in front of her. Namida was holding onto her cup of tea as she stared at the light green liquid in it, she said. “Is it so much to ask for a higher quality green tea? You have so much money lying around, why not use some of it?” Ketsueki’s eyes slightly widened as her lips curled into a small smile. Sachi lightly blew onto her cup of tea and said. “He’s here.”

Living Room
The front door opened as Reiki who was still wearing a green tunic and brown pants as he heard the sound of three pairs of footsteps quickly making their way toward him. Yuki was in front of Shiro and Mio as the closer they got the slower they walked. A hint of awkwardness appeared in the atmosphere as Yuki stared at a Reiki with straight hair and odd clothing, she said. “Who are you?”
Reiki made his way to the shoe compartment as he untied his sports shoes and said. “And it’s to meet you again, Yuki.” He slid open the shoe compartment and took out a pair of white indoor slippers. Mio stared at him with a peculiar look, she said. “As you can see they are people here, if you go out now. We won’t have to call the police.” Reiki let out a fake laugh and said. “I see the main reason why you don’t make jokes is because of the lack of humor.” The coner of Yuki’s mouth grinned while Mio slightly frowned at him.
Shiro stared at his older brother and spoke with a hint of confusion in her tone, she said. “Onii-chan?” Reiki gently poked the tip of his little sister's nose and said. “And with that, you three aren’t going to receive the gifts I have.” Shiro suddenly leaped toward him and hugged her older brother as she spoke in an exaggerated dramatic tone. Shiro said. “Onii-chan! Wait!” Mio pointed at Yuki in front of her and said. “It was this girls’ idea! I’ve never seen her in my entire life!” Yuki had a shocked look on her expression as she slapped her friend’s hand away that was pointing at her.
She said. “I didn’t do anything!” All four of them went silent as Reiki let out a chuckle and said. “Alright, that’s enough playing around. How about we go to the living room and laze on the couch?” He placed a hand on top of his little sister, he continued. “I’m back, Shiro.” Shiro gave him a bright smile as she hugged him as tight as she could and said. “Welcome back, Onii-chan.” The four of them made their way to the living room.
Yuki placed both her hands behind her back, she said. “What’s with the get-up?” Mio stole glances at his attire while walking while Shiro was gently tugging and pinching the green tunic. Reiki thought. I was pushed into a puddle of mud by elves. He said. “ Nothing much, I got my clothes dirty while learning some archery and they provided me some clothes that I was allowed to keep.” They made it to the living room as Yuki sat back down on her spot on the ground beside the coffee table with a large bag of potato chips that was opened.
Mio sat by the leftmost side of the couch as she stared at his clothes and said. “They let you in a house and allowed you to take a shower?” Shiro was standing beside her older brother as she gently tugged on his brown pants. Reiki gave Mio an odd look, he said. “Where else would I take a shower? By a flowing river downstream?” Yuki took out a pouch from her pocket as she placed her hand inside the pouch to look for something, she stared at him and said. “I liked your messy hair better.” Reiki let out a chuckle, he said. “Me too.”
A frown formed on Shiro’s mouth as she looked up to her older brother and said. “Onii-chan you look weird in these clothes.” The sound of three pairs of footsteps came from the staircase as Namida was the first one down, she said. “There’s one too many-.” She stopped mid-sentence when she saw Reiki as she burst into laughter and continued. “That’s a good look for you!” Sachi shoved her to the side as she gave her friend an odd look, she said. “What are you talk-.” She stopped mid-sentence when she saw Reiki from the corner of her eye as he gave her a nod.
She crossed her arms as a straight expression formed on her face, Sachi continued. “That’s a-.” Ketsueki shoved her next to Namida who was still laughing up a storm, Ketsueki said. “Why are you two taking so long just to-.” She slowly reached into her pocket and took out a smartphone and tapped on the screen a couple of times. Reiki had a photogenic smile on his face showing off his pearly white teeth as Ketsueki took a few pictures. Ketsueki was swiping on her screen a few times as her lips curled into a smile, she spoke under her breath and said. “Those elves have good taste.”
She noticed all the stares she was getting from everyone else except Reiki as Ketsueki faked a cough and said. “Reiki, what’s with the clothes?” Yuki took out a large plastic container that was see-through that was half-filled with karaage, she said. “He’s clothes got dirty while learning some archery.” She tossed the plastic container at Reiki as he caught it mid-air. Yuki continued. “Reiki, can you taste those for me? I tried them and I think they taste funny.” Reiki opened the container and took a small bite of it, he thought. They taste fine.
Yuki had a smirk on her face as she crossed her arms while she watched him take a bite. Ketsueki placed her phone back inside her pocket while taking one last glance at a picture of Reiki she took, she rubbed her hands together and said. “Now, Souvenirs. Who wants to go first?”

Entangled Fates Book 1 - Quantum Beginnings
“By far, the greatest danger of Artificial Intelligence is that people conclude too early that they understand it.” —Eliezer Yudkowsky Hey all, we're moving over to book 2. The book is now availble on Amazon (includes extra chapters): https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B07W1534R8 Artificial intelligence was nearly mankind’s last invention. AI took off like a rocket, then when it racked up an impressive death toll, it crashed before it could blossom and took most high-tech industries with it. Resistance and fears became deep-set. Two decades after the infamous Rev. 4.6 incidents, humanity hasn’t quit dreaming of the wealth and power that could be at their fingertips. A new generation of mega-corporations rose from the ashes. When one melds a quantum computer to a barely functional mental patient as a PR move, there are those who seek to profit, those who want to destroy it, and Alex. Alex Sage is a typical college student trying to keep up his grades and maybe find a meaningful connection with the fairer sex. Then, an automated semi crashes into his home, killing his family and turning his head into a pin cushion in the process. Alex awakens to find most of his memories gone and an illegal AI hidden in his brain implant. Now the pet project of a tech billionaire and heavily in debt, Alex struggles to stay valuable enough to be kept online. Still grappling with the repercussions of his injuries, and threats from a dangerous anti-augmentation political movement, there are no easy answers and threats loom around every corner. Alex must use whatever resources he can to escape from under the thumb of a ruthless corporation, while keeping those he comes to love safe. Chapters will stay up on RRL until Aug 10. It'll go up on Kindle Unlimited after that. How do you get those extra chapters I didn't have planned for RR? If you want them, they'll be in the published book. Book 2 will still make sense without them - I made sure of that. But... isn't $3 a lot for extra chapters? Think of it as tipping me for a good job and you'd also be getting my eternal thanks. If you enjoyed it so much that the idea of missing out a few chapters haunts you, I did my job as an author and made an engaging story. What's in those extra chapters? Resolving a few issues, set up for the cybernetic revolution, a rather intense sex scene with a new partner, revelations of who's really pulling strings, and a bit of set up for book 2. Complaints that people missed out on it when it was published here won't help (sorry!). I posted this for the folks who helped me shape the book, which is you all! (Again, yay!) But... Why! Why not keep it all on RR forever? My editor likes being paid for one. For two, I'd like the ability to get broader readership. If I break even on editor costs, I'll be incredibly happy. What about book 2? Drafts for Book 2 will go up around Sept 10. My draft of Book 2 is done, and it will be handed to the editor once Book 1 is published. Feedback has been even more positive. Beta readers devoured it and wanted more. I'll add a link to Book 2 once it's up on RR. I'm more or less, using you all for Beta Readers, so you get it before it's "canon" and edited. I invite active and meaningful feedback during this process. In return, you get early access to chapters. That does mean that the book content or plot might be adjusted before it gets published as I refine it. Sex Y/N? Yes. I heard the feedback, 90% wanted it explicit. You all will get the "full" experience. Will I dump all of book 2 here? Honestly, I'm not sure yet. At a minimum, it'll be up to the 75% mark as we collect feedback, much like what I did with book 1. It really depends on how good the feedback is and how nice people are. Lots of support + meaningful feedback to make it better = higher likelihood you get all the book. Will be it up here indefinitely? No, it'll probably go up on KU at some point, but I'll make sure there's enough time for a large readership to grab it here. Then we move to book 3 which already is around 60K words already. What about other adventures in the same universe/characters? Yep. Absolutely. Nothing ready to share yet though. I plan to keep those side chapters and more slice of life stories as RR exclusive. Since I'm carving this off in book-sized segments, I'll have to figure out where those disconnected story arcs belong. I'm open to suggestions.
