Her true origin, background, and real name are unknown. But everyone from Ablan and beyond has heard of the ash-skinned shadow known as "Luna." She and Baldric formed a two-man guild after she personally disbanded their old guild due to her own failures, and both of them vowed to never again take any contracts involving killing, or contracts involving children or animals in any way. Now they only take contracts that focus on package escorts, protection services, and rescue and retrieval.

She is a master of the legendary Guyanshin martial arts, an enigmatic form of combat guarded by the Lepan monks. Those abilities, combined with her augmentations, mastery of chemistry, and incredibly unique arsenal, made Luna an urban legend in Aelmion and the brotherhood.

Luna is unable to operate automobiles, trucks, or even her own landraider. She can only drive motorcycles. She suffers severe motion sickness when she is on automobiles, ships, or enclosed airships.

She is an investor in hundreds of small businesses all over Aelmion, a franchisee of Vhlad's chain of restaurants, and she anonymously owns a bank that focuses on micro loans for the poor of various races, most notably bestians, orks and Alar. Along with her profits from Defiance, her income from Ablan, holdings in Mirakesh, and a monthly consultant fee from the Syndicate, Luna can be ranked as the 20th richest individual in Aelmion. In her will, Annie is the sole inheritor of her entire fortune.

Luna started their tradition of Philanthropy. She anonymously funds numerous health, food, and education programs in poverty-stricken areas. Luna also funded museums, schools, a general hospital, public housing, small businesses, farms, fisheries, and even bought a national park to legally protect the flora and fauna in the area.
