《One Versus Destiny》Chapter 30: Earth's Anger

I was doing a schedule where I was doing two contracts a day after three hours of training, after which I would have a real lunch (not just a coin) after which I would work on studying for an hour, after which I would do three more hours of training, after which there would be a team practice for an hour, and then we would work on tactics for thirty minutes, after which I would stretch for fifteen minutes, after which I would do pliability for fifteen minutes (pliability is how someone played American football for a long time-at least mid-forties).
I would then call my family for about an hour, then I would go to bed. One of the contracts every day was a team contract, and the other was solo. I kept this up for about six months. Dinner and breakfast were coins. I once went to the interdimensional room, and looked at the noticeboard. At the top, it said, “New Years Eve On Earth Is Today!” I put Earth and Glassfay at the top of the list of planets to be informed about. I realized my birthday was coming up. It was 2017 on Earth. A gold-category assassin dropped from the ceiling. I said, “Mine is the judgment and the judgment is death or life. Death.” That wouldn’t kill him, so I summoned my pefighs, cloak, and dagger. “You will die. Death is imminent. We almost all die, but you will die sooner. Suffer the cost of a lifetime. Freeze, bloodless one. Ice from the outside is nothing, so ice from within shall arise. Suffer the cost of a lifetime. You are now cancerous. You will forget all with alzhimers. Rot away, dead body. Bleed to death, bloodless one. Sweet sleep of death, come forth. Cleansing of sins, arise. Mine is the judgment and the judgment is death or life. Death.” That didn’t kill him, so I started teleporting around, stabbing him with my dagger. Unfortunately, that’s when my family came. “Arjun, stop!” they exclaimed. I said, “He’s an assassin.” That made them stop.

I actually had to use the fire before I felt his soul weaken, if it was momentarily. I waited for it to happen again. I got an option to get a sword, and I did it, as he pulled out a sword. He was slowed down enormously, as I had frozen him, so we started sword fighting so fast it was like two jedis from Star Wars fighting. Everyone was amazed. He had one of those slips again, and I suppressed him, giving me a massive advantage. I killed him. I had enraged all six kings.
The prophecy said I would kill the kings, and this looked a lot like a pretense.

Summary Alexander Weiss, an intelligent and slightly unusual man, always dreamt of becoming a mage. Sadly, reality is harsh and even his best efforts never allowed him to achieve his goal during his lifetime... or did they? One has to be careful what they wish for, lest they might live to see it fulfilled. Description Follow Alex, a man whose pursuit of magic could not even be stopped by his non-magical reality, going as far as to create it himself, only to encounter an unsurmountable obstacle shortly before achieving his lifes goal, denying him all access to these powers. His journey will take him through a miraculous world, full of wonders, magic and manic beasts trying to devour him! He will learn much about this world during his adventures, exploring individual aspects of the System and the various monsters that came from it... or did they? Strong points What you'll get from this novel is the following (read with overly enthusiastic salesman-voice) : • An ending! I'll complete it, no matter what. Well, not "no matter what", but as long as I don't unexpectedly end, this novel won't either! • Good grammar! Might not be perfect, but it's definitely good enough to not detract from the story in the slightest. I'll also fix any reported mistakes as soon as possible, be they grammatical, syntactical or just inconsistencies. • No plot-armor! Or plot-weapons! Or plot-... potions? And no plot-holes! If you see some, it's most likely information that is being witheld for future revelations! But in the (hopefully) very unlikely case of such a vile beast being encountered, please inform me immediately and I'll see to slaying it without grace! (Translation: If you see plot-holes, tell me and I'll fix them) • Logic! [Hidden : Spoilers][Hidden : More Spoilers] [Moved to Chapter [Hidden Spoiler]'s Author's Note] Marvelous, I know! • Blue Boxes! And maybe something more! • Sensible retroactive edits! Not to be confused with radioactive edits! You'll not have to re-read previous chapters, even if they get some major edits. If they were to receive new information, I'll add that very information to the newly released chapters too, in a reasonable way. • Realism! Shocking, I know! Especially considering the tag related to that and the point about "Logic!". This also means that the story will be... well, realistically depicting a pretty messed up world. Don't expect bunnies... at least not cute ones. • Relatively faster paced! No long and boring descriptions of irrelevant stuff. There will be some longer descriptions about important things, but that's gonna be necessary world- and/or character-building! • Short action! Might not be a plus for some, but you won't have to look at a whole (or, god forbit, multiple) chapter describing a fight against the same enemy... • Strategy and hard progression! It's a dog-eat-dog world! No grinding/power-creep! If you're up against three enemies of your level at once, you've already lost! • Understanding! It will be mostly about discovering the wonders of this new world and how it became like that, all while trying to survive. So there will be enough action nonetheless! • Humor! Sometimes dark, sometimes light, always at the worst moment! • Constructive critics, welcome! Destructive critics, nope... I can handle criticism though, so don't go easy on me! Just make sure it's really a mistake when complaining about something. • Will add more in the future! If I can think of more stuff...

Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne (1870) (Completed)
In 1866, ships of several nations spot a mysterious sea monster, which some suggest is a giant narwhal. The US government assembles an expedition to find and destroy the monster. Professor Pierre Aronnax, a French marine biologist (and narrator within the story) receives a last-minute invitation to join the expedition. As the expedition travels south around Cape Horn into the Pacific Ocean, the crew finds the monster after a long search and then attack it, but the ship is damaged with the three main protagonists thrown into the water. They are quickly captured and then meet the enigmatic Captain Nemo. ~ Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea is a classic science fiction novel by French writer Jules Verne and was originally published in 1870. The novel was originally serialized between March 1869 and June 1870 in Pierre-Jules Hetzel's periodical, the Magasin d'Éducation et de Récréation. An illustrated edition, published by Hetzel in November 1871, included 111 illustrations by Alphonse de Neuville and Édouard Riou. Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea is regarded as one of the premiere adventure novels and one of Verne's greatest works, along with Around the World in Eighty Days and Journey to the Center of the Earth.
