《One Versus Destiny》Chapter 44: the Recruiter

The iron-category teleported in. He said, “Bronze-category, come out.” I teleported to him. “What do you want?” I asked. He told me there was a network of the very rare soul stone users on Earth. The Chennai branch’s head had died while protecting Chennai from a powerful monster rain. A monster rain was when monsters came pouring out of the sky. They generate in sealed spaces, so we had about five minutes to enter. I then realized the portal squares could get me in hours early.
He said they were looking for a new leader in the upper echelons of bronze. I had been keeping my soul in, seeming like a low-end bronze, but any bronze-category could do that. I temporarily gave him party interface but made it only show powers. I said, “Touch me.” He did, and then he saw this:
Waeswars (Blood) Bronze 9 (6%)
Perception of Darkness (Darkness) Silver 0 (0%)
Sinfree Soul (Sin) Silver 0 (0%)
Cloak of Death (Death) Silver 0 (0%)
Bad Omen (Omen) Bronze 9 (0%)

He called the office. They let me go in. I told my family, “I just got a new job.” No one agreed I should have a job. I put my soul senses over all of Chennai and told them,” I am the only eligible person in the world, as the requirements are to have all your soul stone powers at bronze 7 and live in Chennai.” No one really argued after that. I found out I was starting on Monday (it was Sunday on that day). I sensed Chennai had just four bronze-categories, and all of them had their powers in the range of bronze one to three.
Chennai also had eighty-four copper categories and three hundred forty-four iron-categories. Earth was insanely low-magic, so I sensed about a thousand bronze, ten thousand copper, and seventeen thousand iron. No one on Earth had any powers at silver except me.
