《One Versus Destiny》Chapter 88: Phase Two

Ah'Hwa was very mad. First, this insolent challenger had killed his whole clan. Then, he had forced Ah'Hwa into rage mode, which was a berserking thing. The transformation was very uncomfortable.

Ah'Hwa had previously looked like a scaled human with wings and a tail. Now, his face was elongating into a snout with teeth the size of swords'. The two lumped scales were growing into four meter horns. His body elongated into that of a dragon. His wings, which were previously one meter, became a hundred meters. His body elongated from one meter to a hundred meters. His neck was ten meters long. His tail was as long as his body. His head was thirty meters. His legs were fifty meters tall. His feet were ten meters long and five wide, and each two-meter long claw ended with a three-meter long claw, ending in a point so sharp in could possibly pierce the dome. His hind feet had two-meter long toes, but his front feet had toes as long as the feet, ending in the same claws. It scales were turning red from the normal black.
It spoke with a trembling power that seemed to shake the earth itself. "You! You! You! You, sinner, have forced me to do this."
"I have the soul stone of sin. I am not a sinner," I replied.
"You shall pay."
The whip flew at me again. I just dodged and made it hit the wall.
It broke the side of the dome for a plank time before the wall fixed itself, but I heard the pained screams from outside.
Ah'Hwa jumped into the air, seamlessly spreading its wings. I was amazed by its flying ability.
I want to learn to fly like that.
It was a silly thought, trying to do that, but it would persist for aeons.

I took to the air too. I would have conjured more cloaks, but cloaks cost mana.
I pulled out a sword.
Sword of Eternal Durability
This sword, crafted with extremely strong materials in a fire whose heat defies explanation, is almost impossible to break for anyone below ruby-category, and almost unwieldable to anyone below diamond-category due to its massive weight.
It was a bit heavy, but not too much. I estimated it would take about thirty-five thousand newtons to wield, which I could bear. In air, it went up to about 37000 newton, but that wasn't too much.
The sword and a claw clashed.

Overgrowth
I never thought I'd be killed by butterflies. But here I am... Edmon Valli was a smuggler, before a freak storm threw him off course and stranded him on a desert island smack in the middle of an uncharted monster zone. Trying his best to survive, or possibly even escape, he stumbles across the find of a lifetime: an unclaimed dungeon crystal. This is a dungeon-ish story, but without reincarnation or transmigration. I started it as a whim for NaNoWriMo so I may drop it any time after that... or I might not. My current plan is to write until I can reach some sort of conclusion and call it 'volume one'. I hope someone enjoys reading it for now! All comments, corrections, and criticism welcome.

How to Raise Your Dungeon
A dungeon core awakens for the first time. It knows nothing, it has nothing, but it can hear something. Voices, whispering, talking, and sharing. For now, they are distant. But it believes, if it proves itself, they may provide it with wisdom and direction. And so its slow but steady growth begins. Polls will come when the dungeon specifically wants to choose between a number of options, and believes it will receive an answer. However, it will "hear" any comments made on the most recent chapter, and these will shape its behaviour. It trusts you implicitely. This story is an exercise in stretching my creative muscles, so with each decision made, the options and opportunities open to the dungeon will change- some closing off forever. The dungeon will face threats periodically, and its fate in these encounters will be heavily influenced by your advice, though it will of course do its absolute best even without advice. It hardly wants to die. Heavily inspired by There Is No Epic Loot Here, Only Puns, though my approach to the concept is somewhat different from that work.

Kingdom of Mallic
The Kingdom of Mallic is a land of magic, border wars, and new frontiers. To the north are the Cold Lands, ruled by cruel isolationist dwarves. They raid for supplies continually. Every effort to remove them has failed. No army that has marched north ever returns. To the south are the vast Jungles of Terror, which are home to barbaric elves. Every elf that is facing their Coming of Age ritual or seeks further status requires the torture and sacrifice of an elf from another tribe, a human, or a dwarf. Their numbers are staggering, causing great fear of them becoming more organized. The Kingdom settled on the west coast of a vast continent between the waring dwarves and elves. It has slowly grown eastward into a land of unexplored and dangerous frontiers. Those forces are always pushing the Kingdom back. Within this Kingdom, a boy seeks to master magic and become a great mage, but others are not so willing to let him rise. What lengths will he have to go to survive?
