《Soul Summoner in Isekai (LitRPG & System)》80. Back

After collecting the sacrificial materials from the corpse, Anno's backpack was already bulging.
If he gets dozens of pairs of summoning materials at once, he won't be able to use them up unless he goes through another large-scale battle.
What Anno should be worried about now is how to save summoning materials like 'goblin left ear' that are easily corrupted.
Back near the town center, Anno sent a bunch of summons back, leaving only the invisible Lis.
When Anno walked over to Rodney, the guard captain was lying on his back, staring at the night sky with both eyes motionless.
Brooke sat crouched aside, he has seriously wounded but at least conscious.
Looking up at Anno, who had come up to him, Brooke asked somewhat expectantly, "Where did they go? Did they leave?"
Brooke did not think that Anno could kill so many demons.
But the demons just suddenly left, which some strange.
Compared to other answers, Brooke would prefer to hear the information about the demons left.
"They were all taken care of by me!"
The bodies of those demons are still in the town, sooner or later they will be found, there is no point in hiding them.
Anno's answer made Brooke somewhat unable to believe his ears.
However, Anno didn't wait for him to ask out again before he opened his mouth and asked, "Captain Rodney he ......"
"Captain?"
Brooke took a look at Rodney lying next to him and said with a sad face, "To stop the demons, he was injured too much. Shortly after you left just now, he couldn't hold on."
"Dead?"
Anno looked at Rodney's corpse and sighed.
At that time when Rodney asked Anno to lead the guard, he had a problem with this captain.
But now, Rodney broke the back for the townspeople, fought in blood, and even put his life on the line, which made Anno still have some admiration.
"Anno, what do you mean when you say you took care of the demons? Also, that goblin priest you just summoned, why do I feel some familiarity?"
Brooke's impression of the goblin priest was very deep.
During the battle at the south gate, if it wasn't for the goblin priest causing a lot of damage to the guards with fireballs in the back, they wouldn't have been routed so early.

"That means that all those demons were killed by me! As for the goblin priest, that's my summon, level 8."
Anno explained to Brooke for fear that he would misunderstand.
Brooke was the only surviving guard, Anno still needed him to report the battle to the Viscount.
Otherwise, with the words of Anno and the adventurers alone, the Viscount would be suspicious of the course of the battle without one trusted person.
And if Brooke misunderstood and thought that the goblin priest that attacked the crowd at the south gate was summoned by Anno, there would be trouble.
But Anno would not tell Brooke the information that he could summon a goblin by killing one.
"Level 8!"
Brooke's heart sighed with relief.
He also felt it just now that the goblin priest's aura that Anno summoned was much weaker than the goblin priest at the south gate, so it should not be the same one.
"Anno!"
A slightly surprised voice sounded. Anno turned his head to see a figure running over from the darkness.
"Lily, what are you doing here?"
After seeing the visitor, Anno asked in confusion.
"Anno, it's you!" Lily hugged Anno excitedly.
She just saw Anno's figure with the help of the surrounding firelight but wasn't sure.
"Everyone is worried about you, so I came over to see what's going on!"
Brooke saw the two hugging together and froze once again.
He and Rodney had previously thought that everyone at the north gate had sacrificed.
Unexpectedly, not only was Anno, but the people around Anno were also still alive.
Anno put Lily, who was hanging on, down and asked, "How's over there?"
"After you left, that Sharp who attacked you was attacked by a flying demon, and then the flying demon left, and Sharp ran away.
In the meantime, the townspeople all ran to the north gate, and they also said that the demons hit the town center from the south gate, and the guards lost a lot of money.
Everyone was worried about you, so I came over to take a look."
Speaking of Sharp, Anno turned back to Brooke and said in a low voice, "Mr. Brooke, why would Captain Sharp run to the north gate during the battle and even attack me?"

"Sharp attacked you?"
Brooke gritted his teeth and said, "This bastard, I didn't expect him to not only run away from the battle but also to attack our people during the battle.
I will report this matter to Lord Viscount, he will not spare him."
Anno nodded and said to Lily, "The town's crisis is lifted, go tell everyone and let the townspeople return in an orderly manner."
"Really? That's great!"
Lily nodded her head and turned to leave.
It didn't take long for Shore and the others to come over.
Lu Yan told Anno that the news of the victory had been passed down and that they were mobilizing everyone to help the wounded.
Anno handed Brooke to Shore and returned to the north gate to command the crowd.
After a night battle, the guards were left with only one man, and Sharp of the Bloodstained Mercenary fled from the battlefield.
Mavis of the Black Widow mercenary regiment took the initiative to approach Anno when he arrived at the north gate and explained that the reason for her presence was that she had accepted the task of escorting the townspeople out under Rodney's orders.
"At that time we had revealed our defeat and retreated to the center of town, Rodney was worried about the townspeople being slaughtered by the demons, so he asked me to take a few people to lead the townspeople to try to retreat through the north gate."
Mavis was also badly injured and had a shaken look.
Anno handed Mavis over to an adventurer to be placed and continued to lead the men to clean up the battlefield.
After several hours of work, the crowd was able to clean everything up.
According to statistics, forty-six adventurers were killed, ninety-one were seriously injured, and the rest were all wounded.
But after this battle, everyone's level has greatly improved.
The adventurers who participated in the battle were all at least level 3, and some of them broke through to level 4 or 5.
Those adventurers whose rank remained at level 1 or 2 without any breakthrough and were not seriously injured, they have fled the battle.
Among Anno's cronies, Shore has broken through to level 6 after killing a good number of enemies in the night battle.
Except for Liu Rongrong and Ning Wen of two healers, everyone else had also risen to level 5.
The overall strength went up by a large margin!
Although the crowd suffered a lot of casualties, the results are also very significant.
Not counting the slimes, this battle exterminated a total of more than two hundred demons, which included more than fifty level 6 or higher.
Such a result can be considered a great victory!
Anno's harvest was even greater.
Not only did he level up to level 8, but he also had a large number of green souls and sacrificial materials, and he got powerful summons like goblin priest and hawkgirl.
Most of all, the succubus has a [Command] skill!
On the surface, Anno is level 8, but if he let ten summons out, mage, meat shield, flight control all, plus the increase of Liz [Command], it is not necessarily able to escape even if a level 10 demon into the siege.
With the help of the townspeople, the bodies of those who died in battle were sorted out and put into body bags.
After resting in the town for a day and a night, everyone started their return journey.
Everyone noticed the cloaked man who appeared next to Anno.
Anno did not take the initiative to introduce it, so Shore and others did not ask.
It was already afternoon when the crowd rushed back to Valcam.
Yesterday the mayor sent another flying pigeon to the viscount, this time without hawkgirl's interception, the flying pigeon smoothly delivered the letter to the viscount.
Therefore, when Anno and the others returned, they saw from afar the Viscount and the guards who greeted them at the entrance of the town, as well as the large group of people who gathered around.
When Viscount Raynor saw Anno, he shouted to the surrounding crowd, "Gentlemen, the heroes have returned, let's welcome our town protector heroes with the loudest applause!"
Looking at Viscount Raynor who walked out from the applauding crowd, Anno's eyes stared, but he quickly changed into a smiling face.
He greeted Brooke and said aloud, "We are flattered by your greeting, Lord Viscount!"

Children of Danu, People of Skill Book 1. (LitRPG/Gamelit)
Hi all, this is my first attempt at fiction ever. I'm sure it's awful, first attempts at new things usually are. Hopefully you can find something you like in it. I had a great deal of fun writing it. It's a basic Litrpg/Game, God sends you to a new world to do their bidding plot. I Know I did too much telling and not enough showing. I'm working on that. The underlying system is one haven't seen or done much. a full Point Buy system, like Gurps, Champions or the Hero system. After writing it a while, I see why folks don't do it. The record keeping is tedious. And once you start doing math in subsequent chapters, you can't go back and add more action, just because you dread redoing all the math. I've got about 80k words written in two "books" on the novel so far. I'm going to edit chapters and try to drop a couple a week till it's finished. Hopefully that will work for folks. I need to punch up the amount of action. I'll be working on that as well. Thanks, Cal-P.S> The cover art is one of the two CIrce Paintings By Waterhouse.
