《War of The Disciples》Chapter 51: Meeting of Gods

Mura flew through the skies as happy as a hawk could look. The elemental beast of the fulgcere took the form of a massive purple hawk with a lightning rod horn just above its eyes. His eyes took on a multitude of colors, which seemed to spin one way or the other.
“Interesting...Interesting. So many event’s put into motion. Surely Atmos will want to know about this..”
Mura flew over the dead land of Skotous. Decai spotted the landscape. The filthy creatures empty of life didn't even take notice of his presence. As he flew further he found himself over the paradise amongst the barren land, Avayev. It could rival even the most fertile land in Lysets. He came upon the Green Sea filled with odd and extraordinary sea life under the clear green water. Mura soared over the Maelstrom Mountains, the spires of the caetum’s cities stuck out from the mountain’s peaks, to the forest of Volen.
Mura landed in front of a certain massive willow, which he had found himself many times before over the course of many ages and cycles.
“What is it Mura.” It sounded more like an order than a question.
“Don’t be like that Atmos, whatever happened to those warm greetings. Oh! What about the times when you would even become overjoyed when I came to visit?”
A thin wind blew through the forest, “Times have changed. I am not who I once was. The world is not what it once was.”
Mura nodded his head, “At least don’t hide in the tree.”
“Now tell me why would I get up if I just have to come back to the same exact place after a few seconds?
“To see your closest friend?”
“What do you want, Mura? If you saw anything new just tell me.”

Mura started nibbling on his feathers, “On the contrary everything is new.”
This time a stronger wind blew, hard enough to send Mura flying. He had dealt with Atmos enough to now to dig his talons into the earth, “What?”
“You heard me. Almost nothing is the same as it was before. Events have reshuffled and taken on new shapes. Some are still the same in a sense, but yet completely different.”
“How!!” His roar seemed to be the wind itself, “That’s impossible, what has happened. Only a disciple could have that much sway. Has Soluriel done something again? One of the candidates?”
Mura was careful not to anger him anymore, when Atmos got like this only time could fix it, “Not exactly. Soluriel hasn’t made a move, none of the disciples have. Though Nilowin is getting restless, as you know. Why haven’t you done anything about her?”
“Don’t change the subject Mura! What happened.”
“Mortis burned down some luxcian town, and Morta retrieved Night.”
“I don’t care if Mortis burns down a hundred towns! Night being returned to its master is interesting, but it’s not enough to change the course of events. Mura what are you hiding!”
“Watch your tone Atmos, you're not the master over me.” Mura said wryly.
“Mura, just get to the point.” He sounded tired if anything.
“I did see one thing that might have caused it. One person in particular...”
The wind carried Atmos’s roar, and the storms made by his fury, throughout all of Anknown.

Interface
Welcome to the World-City of Thousel, the sixth iteration of life on the planet. These are the recordings of the people of Thousel. Thousel is believed to be the second longest iteration of life, and the overall most prosperous compared to what we know about the past five iterations. Medicine and technology have all progressed abundantly, and the world itself has been turned into one great city, governed and managed by the Governmental-Company Alliance, or the GCA.These particular recordings concern the discovery of a peculiar machine. When two very different people find themselves bound by the fate of one mysterious bot, life in the World-City begins to change… Interface is a cyberpunk webnovel set in an ecumenopolis world where people evolved with electro-sensory abilities. These senses shape the face of modern technology and life in a world where the three largest corporations run what has effectively become the government. Each of these three companies control various aspects of life in the city, and they all constantly vie for domain and power over one another. The world stands at the precipice of biological, technological, and historical breakthrough. After decades of study into microbiology, archaeology, and geology, it has been discovered that sentient life has lived on the planet multiple times over. These past peoples are referred to as the “prior iterations of life,” and it is believed that five great civilizations were constructed before the rise of the modern world. No one can be sure for certain what caused these peoples’ extinction long ago, and the theories range from simply dying off over time to massive tectonic fractures in the face of the planet. Advanced technology, far more complicated than anything the people possess today, has been uncovered in multiple locations. This has lead scholars to speculate on exactly how long each iteration of life survived and how far they progressed as a society. None of the companies have been able to find a way to make this ancient technology work for their own profit. It is as though they are each missing the final key needed to unlock these centuries old secrets. What could this knowledge reveal about the nature of life across every iteration? What power could it give to the one who wields it?Far from the investigation into the origin of life, two kids unlock a new mystery – one that ties their fates to the discovery of an old, mysterious robot. Suddenly, eyes begin to turn towards them as life in the city of Thousel changes wherever they go…
