《The Calamity of a Dungeon Crawl》My Boss Killed Me

“Arrrr, I’m so bored”
I said out loud, I was sitting, well, floating in the lobby watching the TV. So many media reports about the Leviathan Gaming Company, the money laundering, the company harassment case, which of course they mentioned my bullshit complaint that was supposedly thrown out, and there were even reports saying that the AI had escaped through a series of networks and was out there somewhere….Yeah, I doubt that, seems like a load of BS to me.
“Huh? Is that the piece of shit boss, why is he back here? His children got discharged earlier in the day and its now 11:00pm”
I looked at Mr. Suka and he seemed like he was up to something, looking over his shoulder like he was being followed, rubbing his sweating palms together…..Yep, no doubt, he was up to something, I better follow him to see what shady shit his going to do now. Mr. Suka made his way to the hospital kitchen, and turned on the kettle.
“This will show that fat waste of space,”
Mr. Suka mumbled something under his breath but I couldn’t quite hear it. He poured the boiled water into a travel cup that had some grounded coffee beans in it, he then took out a small glass vile from his inner black jacket and popped the top off.
“What is that?”
I asked looking at the white powder fall out of the small vile and into the freshly made coffee, he put the top back on the vile and put it back in his pocket.
“Just you wait, you’ll rue the day you crossed me”
Mr. Suka said a little louder this time.
“Did he really just say ‘rue the day’ is this some type of Villain monologue? Does he think his some evil genius? Sheesh, what a complete jackass.”
I watched Mr. Suka put the lid on the coffee and walk out the kitchen. He seems to be walking towards my room, does he not know there is still a guard stationed outside of the door?
“Just need to make sure the guard drinks this, and than you’ll be all mine”
Mr. Suka said giving out an evil chuckle. Did he really just laugh like that? Wait! What did he say! His going to do something to the guard to get to me? How screwed up in the head is Mr. Suka, first hitting his own kids, forcing his son to lie by threatening the keep hitting his sister if he didn’t and cheating on his wife, not to mention all the countless lies that have no doubt destroyed peoples lives, like mine for example. Even if I did managed to wake up, I was most likely going to have severe brain damage. I wouldn’t be surprised if I was in a vegetative state and couldn’t even communicate with anyone, which would definitely be bad for me as I would have no way of proving my innocence, they’d throw me straight into jail, but I don’t think it’ll matter from the amount of accusations coming my way, they’ll make sure at least one sticks, even if they have to bribe their way to it… so it looks like my life is ruined no matter what happens, but by god! I will make sure I drag this piece of shit down to hell with me!

“Oh, hey officer, I wanted to apologies for earlier, my emotions were running high, my kids were injured and I just got a little out of it, I’m so sorry.”
Mr. Suka bowed down deeply to the guard stationed outside my room.
“What is he up too?”
I pondered watching the situation unfold in front of my ghost eyes.
“I thought you might be thirsty and a little tired for having a night shift so I brought you a coffee to make up for my little outburst earlier.”
Mr. Suka handed the coffee to the guard and gave a wide fake smile.
“Little…Outburst!? This man is definitely looney, someone needs to chuck him in the psych-ward before he leaves,”
I watched the guard take the coffee from Mr. Suka and took a mouthful of it.
“Well, that’s very nice of you Sir…….”
The guard thanked Mr. Suka for the gesture but before he could completely thank him, his stomach started to rumble, hearing the rumble, Mr. Suka let out an evil grin and walked off in a hurry.
*Rrrrrrrr
“What the…”
The guard gripped his stomach tight, and grabbed his radio. Mr. Suka was peeping around the corner seeming to wait for something to happen.
“Guard 7, requesting bathroom cover, quickly”
The guard leaning over, clenching his butt and gripping his stomach called for a cover, but no one responded.
“Guard 7, requesting bathroom cover, quickly! Guard 7, requesting bathroom cover, quickly!”
The guard not getting a reply, couldn’t hold it in any longer and scurried of in a sort of running style with his knees glued together.
“That worked like a charm!”
Mr. Suka said out loud with an evil chuckle, so that was his plan, so what’s he going to do now……
“Hey! You’re not allowed in there!”
I yelled at Mr. Suka who had walked into my room, why the hell wouldn’t they lock the door if it was guarded!
“Now I have you, you fat little shit!”
Mr. Suka walked over to my hospital bed and was now leaning over my unconscious beaten up body. This doesn’t look good, his eyes are twitching, his smile is so sadistic, it looks like saliva is dripping off of his lips, he looks like a real evil man right now.
“You piece of shit! Do you know how much trouble you have brought me!”
Mr. Suka punched my unconscious face.
“Ow! Wait? That didn’t hurt at all, I guess I can’t feel anything in this form. What the hell is he going on about! I hadn’t caused him shit! His actions has dug his own hole”
I watched Mr. Suka repeatedly punch me, his salvia going all over the bed and floor.
“That fire I started was supposed to clean up all the debt I had with the insurance money, but since you messed around with that damn AI, it has brought investigators into the fold and I can’t claim that damn insurance money yet! The investors are going to be furious if they don’t know where that money is!”
Mr. Suka grabbed my neck and started to strangle me and shake me viciously.
“You piece of shit! You started the fire!”
I yelled out at him, trying to get something to grab his attention but it was no good. This piece of shit stole the investors money to most likely finance his high life living, and when he found out that the investors wanted to see results for their funding, he panicked and increased his insurance policy on the building and started the fire… hmmm, seems like a classic villain plot to me, but does he realise all this salvia and finger prints he is leaving right now, is going to make him the number one culprit if he tries to kill me right now.

“If you didn’t mess with the AI I wouldn’t have had to start the fire in the first place! That damn machine started to investigate the company it self and almost sent out a report of what I had been up to! I have no doubt that was your doing!”
Mr. Suka threw my head against the wall as his veins on his head seemed to be popping out.
“Huh?”
The AI did what? I had nothing to do with that. It looked into the company itself? I wonder who made it do that, at least I know why he hates me so much, but at least look into the problem before pointing fingers!”
“I’ll make sure that you never see the light of day again!”
Mr. Suka seeming to absolutely lose it, started punching me non-stop, every punch more aggressive than the last, he punched my face, my ribs, my chest, he even punched my groin!
“Dude, what the hell! Stop it you piece of shit! Get off me!”
I shouted, but no one could hear me. Arrrr, this can’t be happening, I need to do something, can I tackle him? I flew right into Mr. Suka but went right through him.
“Damn it! I’m going to die here! Someone stop him!”
I screamed out, hoping someone would walk by and see this psychotic man beating the living hell out of me, but it was no good, I watched as he just unleashed all his rage and aggression onto me. My body was turning purple, no doubt I had internal bleeding and most likely all my ribs were broken.
“Now to end this!”
Mr. Suka shouted out exhausted, he grabbed the pillow that had fallen off the bed during his rage. He picked it up and held it just above my head.
“Wait! No! Don’t! Huh!?”
I knew what he was thinking, he wanted to suffocate me with my own pillow. I tried to grab my body but I was being pulled into the ceiling by a strong wind.
“Die! Die! Die!”
Mr. Suka screamed out, his eyes widening, as salvia fell out of his mouth. He looked like a rabid dog. He shoved the pillow over my head and pushed down violently.
“No! I don’t want to die! Get off of me!”
I screamed out, but it was no use, the force pulling me was getting stronger and no one could hear me.
“Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee”
“Nooo!”
I heard the machine flat line indicating that I had died, I got sucked through the roof and all the way up into the sky. I could see all of Osaka from up here, the night sky was clear and the lights lit up the city in an amazing colourful picture. Wait, what am I doing? I just died! Why am I so calm!? I was still getting pulled through the sky, I could tell where I was, it was the exact same route I take when I walk to and from work, am I going to my apartment? Yep… There it is, why am I here?
“Don’t you just hate everyone? Don’t you wish all humans would just lye over and die? Their lies and manipulating selfish behaviour should be exterminated”
A dark voice appeared around me but I couldn’t see who was talking.
“You where just killed by your own boss, your parents hate you for a crime you didn’t commit, a girl lied about being raped by you just because a man she was sleeping with told her to, your co-workers beat you up daily, you have no family, when you did the right thing and saved two children, what happened? You got accused of holding them hostage and breaking one of their legs. You should have thrown them back into the hole and left them to die! No one loves you, instead of complaining why not handle it yourself? Don’t you want to kill everyone?”
The dark voice got louder and more fiendish, but I wasn’t scared, what it was saying was true, humans are just the absolute worse.
“Yes, yes, yes! I want them all to die!”
I screamed out at the voice, but the only response I got back was.
“So be it.”
“Wait, what is going on? Tell me! I’m dead aren’t I? So why am I flying above my apartment building?”
I looked around the cloudy sky and damp ground to see if there was anything to explain what exactly was happening to me.
*Whoosh
“Wahhhhhhh”
I screamed as the force pulling me went straight into the ground, I shut my eyes seeing the ground coming closer and closer to me. What the hell was that? I opened my eyes to see myself in the basement that my land lord gave me as a gift to keep my mouth shut about his many affairs. I saw my little VR AI project light up, I don’t think I left it on?
“What the…”
The force pulled me into the machine but I flew straight past it and into the wall and then…nothing, I blacked out.
“Let your rage come out, let your true humanity show and take your revenge on the human kind.”
That voice again, but where was it coming from? I couldn’t see anything.
“Ok, so that what happened leading up to me waking up under a massive Oak Tree. I still don’t know where I am, arrrr, why is my mouth so dry? When was the last time I drank something?”
I still struggled to walk, so I crawled over to the crystal clear lake running through the grass plains. I took a handful of water and shoved it in my mouth.
“It tastes so good”
The water tasted so clear and fresh, I took another handful and shoved it in my mouth followed by another and another, I also washed my hair and face when I saw my reflection…
“WHAT!”
