“It looks like she’s healing” Umi loomed over the unconscious Purple Kitsune Pup

“I guess the Slave Crest worked” I looked over the Kitsune’s stats, it seems like everything had gone down to match my level 17.

“I can stay up and keep guard over her” Umi puffed out her chest showing her strength, it had already turned dark, we spent majority of the day healing this monster, I was getting more worried about Miko every minute.

“Go to sleep, I’ll look over her” I still didn’t trust Umi completely, I also didn’t trust this Kitsune, the last thing I wanted was for it to wake up and run off, I only healed her because she should be able to locate Miko.

“Ok, night Sir Udon” Umi lied down and pulled one of the wolf furs over her

“Night Papa Udon” Vnaa came over and hugged my head, I wrapped one arm around her body

“Night Vnaa” Vnaa grabbed another wolf fur and laid next to Umi.

“What do I do with these two?” I mumbled to myself playing with a stick in the dust on the floor. I know I need to be by myself after we get Miko back, I don’t trust either of them completely and it’ll be less trouble for all of us if we departed ways.

“Where, where am I?” The Purple Kitsune Pup opened its purple eyes and looked around

“You’re in a cave on the volcano” I told her

“Oh, the Slave Crest, did you do it?” She sat up like a puppy and looked over her body

“It’s on your back, I’ll take it off after you help me with something” I didn’t heal her out of the goodness of my own heart, no, I needed her to find Miko

“What is it that you want me to do” The Purple Kitsune pup asked, she looked frightened of me

“I need you to tell me where I can find one of my party members, she’s been held captive on this floor”

“Ok, do you have something of hers?” Did I? Wait, Vnaa

“That little girl over there has some of the person’s dna, will that work?” I pointed to the sleeping Vnaa

“That should be efficient enough” She walked over to Vnaa and sniffed her hair

“Uhh, ok”

“I have located your comrade, she is currently in the Desert area on the Lakes shore” Thats not that far from where we are

“Ok, I’ll take away the Slave Crest now” I got up and walked over to the Purple Kitsune

“Uhh! S-stay back” What the?

“I’m just trying to remove the Slave Crest, I need to hover my Gem over it” Why was she freaking out so much

“Please don’t come any closer!”

“How else am I supposed to get the Slave Crest off then?” This was getting annoying real fast

“No, it’s not that, arrr!” A bright light illuminated around the Purple Kitsune…

“…You have to be kidding me” I looked dumbfounded, no, exasperated at the scene in front of me

“Sir Udon what was that?” The bright flash must have caused Umi to wake up

“Papa Udon, is it daytime already” Next Vnaa woke up

“Who is she!?” Umi grabbed her Sea Trident and stood in front of me…This can’t be happening

“Huh, it’s me, the Purple Kitsune” The newly appeared naked girl said, she had purple fox ears, light purple hair and a purple tail.

“Lies” Umi wasn’t buying it

“Umi, she is, my Slave Crest must have done this to her” Umi turned to me then back at the naked girl then back to me,

“Sir Udon, is there someway you are creating all these naked woman” What the hell!

“Where did that come from! Of course I’m not!” I shouted at Umi, I didn’t need her to think I was a pervert as well!

“Uhh, excuse me” Vnaa approached the girl

“What is it little one”

“Are you really that Purple Kitsune”

“I am, when your Master put his Slave Crest on me, I had the option to take a human form”

“Huh” I stopped arguing with Umi and titled my head at her

“When you put your Slave Crest on me, an option to take a human form showed up and I accepted, I didn’t know how I would transform so I asked you to keep your distance” She did what!

“Why! Why would you do that! What is wrong with you! Why! Why! Why!” I shouted out, the last thing I needed right now was another person in my group, let alone another female.

“I thought it would please you, the comrade you asked me to find was a female and so are these two, are you not attracted to the female body?” What!

“Does my body not suit your tastes Sir Udon” What!

“What are you talking about! Of course I’m attracted to the female body! I just don’t want them around me!” What is going on!

“Umi, will you shut it!” I can feel myself going insane! I am not one of those protagonist that you see in Manga that want every single girl around them! That looks like way to much effort! Plus, all those guys are super nice, that nice it makes me want to throw up!

“I would like some clothes please, Hero Udon” Hero Udon!?

“Is something the matter Hero Udon?” Of course there is!

“Why are you calling me Hero Udon!” I couldn’t stop shouting, this is just getting ridiculous!

“Because you saved me, you also have that seed” Shut it! Umi and Vnaa tilted their heads to me, I don’t need them knowing I have the original Hero Weapon

“Papa Udon, please calm down” Vnaa approached me and smiled

“Ahhh, I’m calm, it’s ok, umm, Miss Kitsune, you can leave now”

“Huh? Why? I wish to stay at your side”

“Another Rival, I see” What? Umi stroke her chin like an old man and looked towards the Kitsune with her eyes narrowed, What is going on in Umi’s head

“I don’t need another companion, now leave”

“But Sir Udon, we require five party members to pass this floor” Damn it Umi! Don’t tell her that!

“It must be fate then, I will remain by your side than” I don’t even know what she is! The Kitsune pounded her sizeable chest with a closed fist and smiled at me

“I, I can’t, I can’t do this, Creator take this stupid seed and just let me die!” I cursed the Creator and fell to my knees, the girls just looked at me like I was some lunatic, great, now I’m the weird one in this group

“I shall make you some clothes new Rival” Umi took her hand and lead her onto the pile of Furs, why was Umi so happy about this!

“Umi, come here” I called Umi over,

“What is it Sir Udon”

“Why are you so happy to let this stranger join our party?” Did she not realise we had been betrayed for just accepting a quest from a strange God?

“She cares for you Sir Udon, that is why, I would like anyone that cares for you to be apart of our family” What! Umi said that with a smile and walked back over to the naked girl, is this the type of person Umi is? A happy, carefree girl that has PTSD about Heroes and as long as they say they want to help she’ll welcome them in with open arms…that will get her killed soon, I need to make sure she changes that before I leave.

“Arrr! I hate my Otaku styled hell!” I shouted into my backpack

“I’ll unlock my Basic Tailoring Skill and make a simple shirt and pants with the materials Sir Udon has acquired” Wait, what?

“Just need to follow the instructions and put this here and that here, some mana over here and…done” Huh?

“Wow, you’re really good at that” The naked girl smiled at Umi taking the clothes she just made. I mean, I can’t have her naked, but why use my materials? Umi used all five of the Razor Teeth Deer Fur along with five of the their fangs to keep it all in place. If I didn’t need this girl to move up the floors shed be kicked out on her ass

“Kitsune, you mentioned something about how this not your original floor” That was the whole reason I’m in this mess to begin with, she better explain

“I used to be the Ancient Floor Monster of the 17th Floor, I had climbed even higher during my peak, I took control of the 20th floor once” Her peak? Does she think she’s an elite athlete?

“I wish I hadn’t taken the 20th floor though, that was when all this mess started” She mentioned the 17th floor, that’s the floor Miko said was weak and deserted practically

“The Faction Leader, I believe her name was Luna and the humans refereed to her as a Goddess” Luna huh, that name has been coming up a lot lately.

“She wanted to take the power of my core and sent a party to hunt me down, they managed to corner me, but I escaped, it did cost me three of my nine tails though. After that, I went back to the 17th floor, I was safe for a while, until they hunted me on that floor, I had no other option but to escape to one of the lower ten floors, during my way to the lower floors, the Goddess Luna captured me herself and stole my power from my core, that is why I was that small little pup before. She decided she had no use for me and threw me in the tenth floor, she had already defeated that Ancient Floor Monster and called me ugly and weak.” This Luna Goddess seems like a crazy, power hungry, lunatic.

“What happened to the 17th floor” Thats what I really wanted to know

“The last I heard, no one sent an Ancient Floor Monster to that floor, it remains vacant” Awesome, I don’t have to deal with one of those!

“Is that why the monsters are apparently weak?” I asked

“No, the monsters are weak because my core power was stolen, the monsters base strength are connected to the current Ancient Floor Monsters Core, that is why when one is defeated you only have a short period of time to gather the cores energy or it reverts back into that floors power.” Interesting, didn’t know that

“So, why do you want to stay with me?” She better not give me some crap, mushy, feely reason.

“Like your companion over here said, you healed me up, I don’t know any human that would do that, from that action alone I have developed a strong feeling towards you, I am also gaining my original power back thanks to your Hero Slave Crest”

“Hero Slave Crest” Umi put her finger onto her lip and looked up, damn it!

“Uhh, ok, that makes sense, as long as you help get our other companion back you can stay” I needed to change the subject quickly

“All right! did you hear that Kitsune, you can stay” Umi embraced the Kitsune with a hug

“Can you please stop calling me Kitsune, I would like a proper name please” Whats wrong with Kitsune?

“Do I have to”

“Yes you do” Arrr!

“Fine, umm, Serena, your name is Serena” It was one of my favourite characters from an anime I used to watch as a kid.

“Serena huh…I like it!” Serena gave me a joyful and prideful smile

“I believe we should save your companion tomorrow, it is quite late” Serena did have a point

“Ok, you three get some sleep, Umi I’ll wake you for the next shift” I told the three girls and chucked another wolf fur over to Serena, we only had three, I’ll just take Umi’s when she switches with me

“Make sure to wake me up this time” Vnaa tugged on Umi’s shirt

“Of course I will” Umi replied

“Might as well check her stats then” I kept guard while the other three went to sleep
