《Rise of the Business [Class]》49. Pugilist

Livia's Skill [Pitch Perfect] had worked ahead of her brain and found the words that might work on the experienced [Healer] who had to learn to watch people die in her arms and keep thinking of ways to help the next time. They worked less well on someone who had just lost three of his siblings.
The family of Sten was used to tragedy, it was true, but that didn't make it easier to lose someone who had been there the entire seventeen years of your life. All three of the siblings had been older than Sten, and though their father was known as one of the most formidable fighters in the village, and had managed to keep their constantly pregnant mother safe through thick and thin, the style of fighting that he taught his children was one involving a great deal of risk.
That did not mean everybody in the family had a careless streak, as some in Salcret were wont to say. Sten had done what he could to prevent tragedy striking again, it was why a year ago he had become an Aspirant at the healers house. This was despite the constant mockery of not just his father and their rivals in the village, but of his siblings, some of whom were now dead. He had been an Aspirant for a year, despite being offered a low tier Skill. All he had learned had proven useless in the face of his siblings' fate.
That was why his father had finally snapped and told him enough was enough. Sten was now a level 4 [Pugilist]. His father had leveled him there, all in one night.
What the old man didn't know, what nobody knew and the thing that was eating Sten up inside, was that Sten had been offered a tier 10 Skill when becoming an Aspiring [Pugilist]. Anybody in his family learning of that fact scared Sten to death.

He might have been able to save them. He just didn't want to fight.
[That was a shit show.]
Livia's first attempt at recruitment went about the opposite way she had been hoping. Although learning about Sten did provide some hope for the future. A fighter who wanted to be a healer, Livia knew of ways to work with that when upgrading the Class. But with the first impression she had made it would probably be smarter to send someone like Roldy to speak with the guy.
She went to chill out at Lena's and ordered herself a drink to take the edge off the day. Just an hour in she spotted Oscar heading for the guild house, presumably looking for Livia, so she called him over and told him how her day went.
"Ouch, not a good start, but I know the guy, he's surprisingly sensitive coming from that family, but he's not the type to hold a grudge," That was good news at least, they had an in.
"Who else have you considered approaching this week?" Livia went through her list of youngish people who were known to have rare classes or who had let slip their surprisingly high tier Aspirant Skills to the rumor mill. Of course, there was no way to actually check to confirm.
"What about Lena, have you asked her?"
The thought actually hadn't crossed her mind, Lena was just over thirty and had the common class [Weaver] above level 20, probably even approaching level 30, but that was not enough to make Livia's list. But there was something to be said for recruiting where there was a personal connection. A [Weaver] with experience as an innkeeper, maybe there is something there.
When they ran the idea by Lena she was surprisingly open to it, Livia even got the impression she had been considering it far before Livia and Oscar brought it up. In the middle of talking specifics Livia was suddenly struck as if by an idea made of lightning.
"Party tents!" She exlaimed.
Oscar and Lena both gave her an odd look, not recognising the terms mushed together.
"How big can you make a weave?"

Superhuman Magus is a title that is based on a concept. Can't say more as it's a spoiler. I prefer the first title but it's just that the current title might attract more people. First title didn't make the novel seem like it's fantasy based. >>Motivation to create Novel: I created this novel to implement the vast imaginations I had while I was not creating a novel. So, there will be a lot of extreme imaginations. Most of these imaginations can only be implemented afterwards as it's a story. So it will take a while.

GLADIUS // Eret X Reader
PHANTASM SERIES BOOK 4---Gladius, (noun): (in ancient Rome) a short sword.---Eret perked up as soon as you and Simon walked into the room, a wide and welcoming smile coming onto his face. He was softer looking than his father had been, but you could still see some of the similar traits. He had a head of thick dark curls, and the same sharp jaw that his father had had. He wasn't as bulky though - he was tall and thin - and his face was a lot more open. What separated him most from his father's likeness though was the colorful cape, and the large mirrored glasses he wore - swirling with colors reflected from the room. He stood from his seat when Maven let the doors swing shut behind her, that wide smile still on his face. "You must be the embassy.""And you must be King Eret." You said, stooping into a bow. "Oh, there's no need for that." Eret said as you rose from your bow. He stepped down from the dias where his throne sat - colorful cape trailing behind him - and came to stand in front of you, taking your hand instead. "I'm not really one for formalities." He grinned, shaking your hand. His palm was warm against yours, and you could feel some slight callouses - most likely from practicing his sword work.
