Wilton chops down another tree and cuts up hefty sections of it. He drags back one of the sections of the log. He sets it up near his burrow and begins to carve. He forms the base of a totem and begins to whittle away at the top. He carves the head of a frog, the head of a boar, and on top, he carves the head of a goose.

The halfling looked upon his totem with some pride.

He uses the rest of the wood from the chopped-down tree to create shelves and cupboards. He places those in the burrow. Wilton starts to pace around his burrow wondering if he should put up walls and make rooms.

He walks outside, looks at the setting sun, and considers what to spend his time doing as the day comes to a close.

Looking over at his drying rack he takes note of the bit of leather he has. He’s definitely going to need more which means tracking the deer he had seen at the lake earlier. He crafts a second spear and a tomahawk balanced for throwing.

If he travels out further he will need a means of protecting himself too. If only he had more leather to use now. He would make leather armor to cover himself with. For now, he can craft a wooden shield. He does so by carefully carving out the shield from the side of a rounded log. He can fasten a leather cord to it with the nice tanned leather.

Wilton goes out to the leather and examines it. The light is quickly fading, but the leather looks tanned. He takes the boar hide and the bladder into his hovel. With his flint blade, he slices off a strip of the leather. He takes that and fastens it to the shield.

He contemplates how to use the bladder. The neck of the bladder would obviously be the best place to put liquids in and get liquids out. But there was where the ureter connects to the bladder. Wilton contemplates this before popping one of the boar's rib bones into his hand.

He sets the bone down and pops a rock out of his inventory. With it, he smashes the bone. The halfling picks up two small bone shards with a very sharp end to them. He then drills a hole into the end of one bone shard creating a needle. He cackles at his strange ingenuity.

Wilton uses plant twine to sew up the end of the bladder. He sews as tightly and closely together as he can creating a small piece of overlap in the hide. Hopefully, it will be waterproof. He will have to test it tomorrow.
