The professor kept his hand on Deylors shoulder in a firm grip.
The professor opened his mouth as his eyes coldly met Deylors.
"Say, if you saw a stream of arrows heading towards a human baby and another heading towards 5 demon babies. Which one would you save?"
Deylor opened his mouth but the professor raised a hand.
"Saving both will end with all of the babies dying."
Deylor spoke slowly and calmly.
"I would save, the demon babies."
The professor nonchalantly paced around the room before he opened his mouth yet again.
"Why?"
Deylor didn't hesitate this time.
"Because if we are all equal then sure saving 5 lives is better than 1."
Deylor continued
"And if-"
"You passed." The professor spoke sweetly.
He quickly looked at the boy one last time as he threw a ring on the way out,
"Your honesty is astounding."
The door shut leaving Deylor alone in the room with the ring.
The professor retracted his powers.
He didn't really care which option was chosen. All that mattered was that the boy did not display the traits of a demon.
And those traits were lying and doing anything for a goal even if it went against his morals.
And yet the horned boy did none.
Deylor looked at the ring in confusion as he slowly placed it on his finger.
He proceeded to look at the professors mirror.
Within the mirror was a boy with messy black hair. A somewhat solid build and black eyes. Deylor patted his hair. He felt his horns yet in the mirror they had disappeared.
Deylor shrugged, was the why really that important?
He had just dodged death and in more ways than one today.
Deylor opened the door to his dorm to see Quinton once again playing with his dolls.

Quinton blurred but this time away from Deylor as he sat shivering in a corner of the room.
Deylor sighed.
This was yet another common occurrence in his life. Well, he didn't despise such a change.
Out of fear, Quinton had changed all the notes to Not Quinton's bed and had even been leaving 'offerings' for me every-day.
Several knocks hit the door. Deylor opened it as he rubbed his eyes. In Front of him stood yet another colossal student.
The student roared so everyone nearby could hear.
"You sent both of my brothers to the hospital, so I shall send you to the grave Deylor!"
And before Deylor could even lift a finger he began his assault.
"Stop." He shouted.
And Deylor did.
Deylor tried to move even a muscle but couldn't urge the force.
Deylor shivered, was he finally going to get bullied?
Deylor met the colossal student's eyes. Extremely strained the collosal student had sweat coming down his face.
Deylor facepalmed. This buffoon wasn't even safe from his own verbal attacks.
The second Deylor felt his body release from it's trance he rushed towards the collosal student however.
He had long been unconscious.
Deylor grunted as he lugged a colossal student over his shoulder towards the medical office.
"Is that the third one this week?"
"Good thing, we stayed away."
"He stared!"
"I can't believe our school actually has a bully..."
I'm not a bully, Deylor wailed in his mind.
Even Jack was suspicious of the scene. With a loud gasp he announced.
"Deylor, you became what you sought to destroy..."
Deylor facepalmed as he explained the situation frantically.
Jack paused before voicing his opinions a little too loudly.
"So he got put in this state, because he..." Jack paused as he showed a rare look of concern for Deylor.

"Talked to you?"
And it was then the School Nurse opened the door.
"Principal Skibbers, we have a code 303 situation."
"Sir, it's a misunderstanding I am not the bully, I am the bullied." Deylor pleaded on his Knees. Jack soon joined him.
"Sir, I don't even know this guy, I have a no-bully policy."
"SIlence." The principal combed his grey hair as he simultaneously groomed his moustache.
"Clean the yards."
"Please no sir anything but tha-" Deylor paused his pleading.
"Just that?" Deylor voiced his thoughts out loud by accident. An accident that would cost him a while.
The principal stopped grooming his moustache.
"For 3 weeks."
The principal then continued his combing spree.
"Can you reconsider, sir?" Jack asked with a look that would make you think his life was on the line.
The principal momentarily stopped combing before he said with an icy tone.
"Did I stutter?"
"No, sir."
"No, sir."
The boys spoke simultaneously as they sighed.
From aspiring academics to yard sweepers.
They had fell so far in such a short amount of time.

The world traveler from the future
The world, under the guide of the System, was prospering. Madness Led by the Hands
‘Great, no… splendid. It was for naught.’ ‘Naught? Depends. If your desire is to send an army of killers our family’s way, yes indeed. If it’s plain survival you seek, then no.’ ‘They don’t coexist?’ ‘What… don’t tell me you’re still all groggy from the fall. Perhaps in novels, but real life is much tougher–––many more times a drag than anyone can possibly imagine. If dusty history is not a reliable teacher for you, then the pandemic surely took that place. At least that one has the advantage you needn’t be literate to savvy how reality always trumps imagination.’ ‘Whatever you say, whatever you say. So… what now?’ ‘Now? Isn’t it obvious? Now we shall survive. And live a good life.’ ‘Ohh… pretty much everything here has something against this little weird wish of ours. Might you consider?’ ‘Then pretty much everything here is a goner.’ ‘Hm, I don’t like the sound of that. Too much trouble, you see. I’d prefer laying low somewhere safe.’ ‘…nobody told you it’s mutually exclusive, no–––or did you forget about that too?’ ‘Fine, then I wish my future enemies all the best.’ ‘They are undeserving of your pity.’ ‘Of course not. That unlucky bunch won’t ever comprehend the reason behind their demise. Just let me smoke in peace and offer my condolence in advance.’ ‘Idem, let me study alchemy, unobstructed by all, if possible. This also includes you. By the way, are you sure you smoke to offer condolences? It seems like an excuse to me.’ ‘I-it is none. Plain truth, you see?’ ‘Seriously, why did I even ask...?’
