"I swear I'm not lying!" Deylor pleaded with his new teammates.
"Yeah right, shadow panthers are almost tier 5 beasts when they're in shadow domains." One of the two males scoffed.
"You probably killed a tier 4 goldfish." Another one of the two males scoffed.
"Wait, you gotta believe me." Deylor pleaded.
"Goldfish."
"Goldfish."
"Goldfish."
Deylor had a mental crisis as his teammates berated him.
A look of realization donned on Deylors face.
"Fine." Deylor smirked. "I'll just prove it to you in the competition. My name is Deylor and I have an ability that gives me a versatile aura. I can move fast and create an aura of spikes around my body. I can also create weapons from my aura."
One of the two boys with short, curly ginger hair spoke whilst sighing. "My name is Cloth. My ability is Gravity increase."
The second boy spoke smugly, wiping his blonde hair to the side he spoke. "Andrew, I have the ability to create ice."
Deylor tapped his finger on his head. Their abilities did sound quite impressive.
Deylor then looked at the pair of girls.
A girl with long red hair spoke first. "I'm Adriana, my ability is redirection."
She nudged the girl next to hair.
The girl tidied her short black hair as she spoke awkwardly.
"Azalia and I can make fake animals."
Deylor nodded his head.
"Alright, let's make a pla-."
"Contestants, please make you way through the doors."
Deylor sighed in exasperation.
The group walked through a dark corridor. The two girls huddles whilst the boys all kept a moderate distance.
A monotone voice rung in their ears.
"Fight the people in front of you, injuries will be healed. Don't hold back, only the best get on the big screen Kids."
The lights turned on.
A group of 3 girls and 2 boys surfaced.
Their looks cold and steady.
An awkward silence ensued.
Deylor looked at the other team. Squinting his eyes.

Foot.
A foot appeared right in front of Deylors face. Deylors look remained casual.
Deylors dense red aura sharpened.
Pierce.
"GAAAHR." A scream pierced the silent temperament as a boy with short black hair held his bleeding foot in pain. Deylor formed a spear of dense-red energy, it's point rotating mysteriously. He struck down.
Brr.
A blue shield covered the door as he was pulled by an invisible force outside the room.
The group of 5 now turned 4 quickly got into battle positions.
A flock of crows covered the sight.
The 3 girls and 1 boy huddled up.
Before a distant red could be seen through the gaps of the crows.
A leg emerged.
A leg swept.
The group was sent flying.
Deylor quickly stabilized his landing as his feet skidded on the floor before the match was set.
The girl and boy fighter combo charged towards Cloth. Their bodies almost fell as they used their arms to sustain themself on the ground. WIth the gravity increase they were easy prey for Andrews ice wave.
Frozen and shivering they too quickly got dragged out the room by a mysterious force.
The remaining 2 members successfully released two powerful attacks. A fire dragon and several blue energy balls pierced wind.
Their faces joyful until their faces squished.
They were sent flying through the room by the own attacks before a mysterious force pulled yet another two people out of the room.
A monotone voice returned.
"Pass."
The newly-formed team travelled through another corridor.
Deylor smirked.
"Told you I was strong."
Cloth ruffled his hair as he responded.
"His shoes were just bad quality."
Andrew joined in.
"He probably was the bait anyways."
Deylor furrowed his eyebrows once more as he faced slander.
Was he really baited so badly?
Deylor and the others walked into a huge pitch-black room. The ceiling at least 200 meters high and the width undeterminable with the darkness.
As Deylors mind met thoughts a monotone voice resounded through the room via a speaker.

"Problematic situation. Survive a fight with an opponent far stronger than you."
The speaker cut off.
A roar sounded.
Cloth walked back slowly as sweat streamed down his face.
His voice trembled as he spoke.
"Tier... 5."
Tier 5, a beast that has evolved successfully 5 times.`
For example the Greykir is a Tier 5 Beast.
Its tree is.
Wolf.
Magic Wolf.
Fenrir.
Dreylir.
Greykir.
Every stage a monster will change in appearance and in power.
Stage 5 is considered the upper-echelons of Beasts whilst Tier 4 is the peak of the lower-echelons.
There have been 10 tiers recorded.
A caw sounded.
2 lumaniting green eyes appeared in the darkness. The sound of wind blowing passed.
The 2 green eyes grew ever close until...
Deylor found himself flying in the air, carried by two claws.
Deylor considered his options carefully.
A: Turn aura into spikes, potential risk of being dropped to death.
B:Get eaten as sacrifice so teammates may attack without holding back. Potential risk of death.
C: Use a fast burst of power to tear through a wing. Ride the bird to its death whilst losing momentum and not dying to fall.
Risk of potential death by bird and height.
Deylors aura burst. He pointed his arm towards the right wing of the huge vulture.
Clang. The sound of a hard impact resounded in Deylors ears as he clung onto the steel wings of the vulture.
The vulture moved its wings in a trance as Deylor had his body cut whilst he tried to hold on.
The bird cawwed as it flew in circles.
Deylor gritted his teeth and closed his eyes when suddenly a tremondous gravitational pressure descened on both Deylor and the Bird. The Bird quickly looked at the perpatrator, Cloth as it started its descent for vengeance.
A ball of purple flames formed in the Birds mouth as it slowly rotated and increase the surrounding Temperature.
Deylors skin streamed with sweat as he recieved the sauna experience.
Just as the Ball left the Birds mouth.
Boom.
It went back in.
The bird became a scorched mess as it crashed into the ground before trailing for around 100 meters.
Deylor hanging on for his life the entire time.
Deylor gritted his teeth as he tried to pierce the hard scales of the vulture but all he saw were sparks. Andrew quickly sent a wave of ice but it quickly melted off with the huge atmosphere.
The bird charged wildly at Cloth before a huge Dragon stared at it.
The Bird halted its charge in shock.
Frozen.
The Bird looked at the dragons eyes.
A red aura came from within the Dragon.
His body in a lunge Deylor appeared as he glided through the Dragon illusion his body aching. His muscles tensed.
He rose a dense-red sword.
Deylor groaned in pain before his Aura erupted.
An streak of red formed instantaneously.
Blood streaked.
Deylor had made but a flesh wound with his aura at its maximum capacity.
Deylor sighed. All out yet his limit was visible.
Deylor quickly blurred to dodge a steel wing before running after his teammates.
As they left they entered an auditorium like room full of other participants. Around 100. A large stage lay in the middle of the room.
The participants were all of the ages of 12-15 and were scorched, frozen and even soaked.
A monotone voice resounded through a speaker.
"Since there are so many aspiring talents, you will face off against another team in a random game. After that the remaining players will do a 1 on 1s tournament to decide the 5 best players for our country."
"The team going first will be...you guys."
The voice almost fell asleep as a spotlight appeared on Deylors group.
Deylor pointed at himself in confusion.
"And you'll be facing... those guys."
Another group shined with a spotlight. Their clothes spotless and clean as they stood authoritatively with an aura of power.

The General Core {The Sphere}
The life cycle in the Sphere is on the brink of collapse because one of its elements, the Dungeons, have been exploited too much by the mortals. The group who created the Sphere already tried and failed with several modifications, because the original computer-like dungeon cores are too inflexible to handle changing approaches. So they try another type of solution – taking souls from other worlds to try to find a solution before the Sphere Cycle breaks down completely. The General was one of the best soldiers of his world, rising from the ranks of a private through Officer School to the highest command with honors. But when his world faced a zombie apocalypse, even that was not enough and he had to make the ultimate sacrifice. Now he is asked for a repeat performance of planning and controlling a dungeon and its spawns in a world that he knows nothing about… But what is the Sphere really? What is that [Xenotic conversion] he has to go through to even enter the Sphere? Something is really strange and he will have to find out what is going on to get to his promised rewards – whatever they will be. Being a soul in a dungeon core means that the General has better chances of finding hints to the truth about the sphere – a knowledge that would help him survive. And no, the sphere is NOT a virtual reality – the key to its secrets is the place where it was physically constructed (Author’s hint). This is a dungeon core story - but there are quite a number of things that I will do differently than common to those stories. 1) I will describe the floors when they are explored, NOT when they are build. Yes, that will mean it will take longer to get to those parts - but I think describing floors both when they are build and when they are explored destroys quite a lot of chances for suspense when adventurers enter the dungeon. After all, if you as the reader already know where the traps are, then you can't really be surprised when the surfacers encounter them. 2) How the world works (and how not) is an integral part of the story, so it will be explained I'm a world-builder first and the Sphere is NOT a regular world (as hinted in the synopsis above). Things will work differently than in your 08/15 default dungeon core stories - as the General and Gunny have already learned in the second arc (and more of that is already scheduled for the next weeks (July/Aug 2019) when the Sky Arrows continue to explore and evaluate that strange dungeon) If you don't like these premises, then I'm sure you'll find a lot of other Dungeon Core stories more to your liking. But if you are interested in more than "Dungeon builds another room and corridor in medieval earth" and are not afraid of a longer and slower story, then go on. I have two more stories in the Sphere, although they both have lower priority than this one: Shaleen the Wanderer (Adventurer, NSFW) (currently on hold after some chapters) Info's on the Sphere (System Docu and Short Stories) (irregular updates when needed) Current Status reports have been moved to a new discord server: https://discord.gg/EaHkXCfm9y
