《The Last Demon : Against The World》27: Void Fusion
Advertisement
The void was a mysterious place.
The void has been seen twice.
To be clear, the void is not space.
A solar system is a dimension.
The void is the land outside the dimension.
The space of the space.
And the void has been seen only twice.
First of all, when a traveller accidentally reached the part ways. The tiny gap between the dimension and the void. The traveller died soon after due to space force from the part ways. The other time was at the destruction of the Realm Heart. The Realm being not destroyed but rather broken. This caused the realm boundaries to struggle and meet with the unforgiving void. The Void was fully visible right after the destruction of the Realm Heart. The Hero's who saw the void at the time all said one similar line.
"When I looked in, I could not see the end and it felt like I was being dragged in to see the end."
The void itself had an odd effect of dragging people who saw it in.
And that's what Deylor saw when he woke up in a makeshift home in a compact cave.
Blink.
The void gap that was once present had now been sealed by the Realm.
Deylor got up now that he was fully awake and quickly got more firewood.
The Demon Realm was no logger awfully hot and it wasn't terribly cold. To put it simply, the Realm was at a middle temperature. Not hot enough to give you sunburn and not cold enough to make you shiver. Throughout the air grey particles would fly from time to time.
The realm was dieing. Or rather it was fusing with something which caused it to die. It was becoming part of the void and so it would theoretically slowly be consumed until it became part of the endless void.

Unless a Realm Heart was forged obviously however the Realm Heart had been destroyed.
Deylor quickly remembered why the Demon King was so strong.
Classroom.
A teacher stood up as he spoke.
"Simply put, kill the Demon King by cracking the Realm Heart and once you crack the Realm Heart you defeat basically every single Demon. However the Realm aids the King as the Demon Kings Realm Heart aids it."
"The Demon King can control his surroundings freely due to his Realm Heart and the realm itself will patch up his Realm Heart if it is damaged severely. On top of this, The Demon Kings powers are all enhanced by the realm. In all honesty the only reason the 9 beat the Demon King is because they were granted power that boosted themselves immensely in a short time. The Demon King was also in a barren area so he could not receive much Realm energy, if the Demon King was in even a slightly better part of the Realm then even if the 9 doubled their numbers they would fail."
"But the bastards dead anyways so lets do some advanced mathematics."
Deylor thanked himself for listening in class before he began looking for some food to eat.
Considering just about every monster was Tier 7 or above and Deylor wasn't all for eating monsters it was time for some fishing.
Deylor whistled as he strolled to a pond he sighted.
After 3 minutes Deylor pulled out his fishing rod which was conveniently in the Explorers bag and began fishing.
1 minute passed.
2 minutes passed.
3 minutes passed.
4 MINUTES PASS-.
Deylor felt something.
Deylor pulled as hard as he could but it didn't rise.
Hungry and impatient Deylor used all his strength, with his evolved Demon physique pulling the big fish out was easy but the next part was not.

A huge jaw shadowed over Deylor as it flew towards him.
Deylor cursed.
Deylor instinctively released as many black flames as he could. Their power alone pushed his feet back through the black dirt.
The what now looked like an anglerfish with no light and no eyes soon charged through Dirt towards Deylor.
Shocked by its speed Deylors foot was bitten.
Deylor cursed as he angrily shouted.
"Bastard, how do flames taste!"
Deylor released a jet stream of flames from his bitten left leg.
Deylors evolved physique screamed in pain as his leg felt like it was going to disattach at any moment until the fish beasts grip slowly weakened.
Deylor walked back to the cave with a limp and barely lugged the big fish over even with his physique.
Deylor then had a genius thought.
Wait, I don't even need to cook it since I cooked it whilst fighting.
The experienced explorer woke up slowly, he saw the boy he saved gloomily looking at a fish that was caught.
"Nice catch, why the frown?"
Deylors hollow eyes noticed the man late.
Deylor spoke slowly.
"Fish got burnt."
Deylor showed the inside of the fish.
Completely charred.
Considering the fact that Deylor had pumped high intensity flames into the fish for 10 seconds it was only normal.
But Deylor had to put up with the burnt fish.
Deylor took a bite.
"Ugh. ashy."
And then the day consisted of Deylor practicing with his flames, he wasn't quite suicidal enough to fight the empowered Tier 7 beasts just yet and honestly he needed to improve his flame control anyways. Deylor probably could of used his light in the fish fight however it drained him of too much energy preventing drawn out fights and if he used it to attack the grappling fish he might chop his leg off a well.
And then night came or rather theoretically came.
Deylor heard another crunching sound in the middle of the night.
Deylor found his old spot and looked again.
The Black Giant walked extremely slowly yet clearly.
It was closer.
The giant turned its head but Deylor had long ducked.
Not going through that again, Deylor thought as he slept again.
But this time with a lot more worry.
Deylor stood up with all their gear at early morning to the old explorer now known as Odon, -s surprise.
"Why are you acting like we're going hiking?" Odon asked with a yawn.
"Because we can't live the rest of our lives in a cave eating burnt fish. I'm going to go North till I find either civilization or a way back."
Odon shrugged.
"Sounds fine to me."
Deylor seemed fine but his feelings were in terror.
Because he didn't notice it last time but when 'day' came. The giant was nowhere to be seen. And this frightened Deylor as he thought about the chances of the Giant becomings smaller so it could chase him after all he was confident it was chasing him.
1. They met eyes.
2. It was originally walking opposite.
3. It looked at the cave where Deylor was twice and it walked as the crow flew or as the Giant stomped.
And so, Deylor now had a potential above Tier 10 level threat chasing his behinds.
Not good.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)
