"What is the meaning of this Albert grey?"
The emperor asked dad in a loud voice.
"Although I understand the crime of killing a court officer is very severe and this kingdom has strict laws I believe you should not rush your decision"
"Oh, and what do you mean by 'rush it' are you perhaps threatening the emperor?"
Ob shit dad came in gun blazing but will he succeed the emperor put him in a tight spot.
"Haha"
Dad laughed light-heartedly.
"Is there something funny Albert?"
"Not at all your majesty, it's just that I believe you should factor in the strength and resources my dukedom provides for the empire and make a very well thought decision I am merely advising you as the Grand Duke of this empire"
I could see the emperor grit his teeth as dad said that.
There was a moment of silence but I noticed a small smirk had formed on the emperor's face.
"Very well then, I was going to give William Grey the Death Sentence but considering the fact that he is indeed the son of the Grand Duke I shall lessen the sentence to banishment to Freesia Forest"
!!!
After the judgement was passed the crowd around me burst into chatter.
"Your majesty I'm certain you wouldn't mind if I were to be the one to drop my son to Freesia forest?"
After dad said that I noticed the conflicted look he was giving me.
'So this bastard wanted to kill me on the way!'
"There is no problem he shall be handed to you today and he will also be escorted by a team of royal guards for extra protection"
"That's okay your majesty"
Dad said with a slight bow and looked towards and mouthed.
'I'm sorry son'

I nodded with a slight smile on my face thankful for having such a dad.
The guard that escorted me grabbed my hands and started pulling me away.
I once again push his hands away and tell him I can walk by myself.
When I was exiting the hall I heard someone say.
"Such arrogance"
"He deserved it"
But unfortunately for him, there are too many people saying such things about me.
Hmm, guess I was not well-liked amongst the noble circle tho I can't blame them for it.
...
*sigh*
This jail cell smells so disgusting.
...
*clang**clang*
I guess it's time for me to leave huh I thought as I look at the guard unlocking my jail cell.
"Stand up and follow"
"Okay"
...
We walked through the palace attracting a lot of attention but were sent back once the royal guard told them to disperse.
We walked towards the main gate and exited it where I saw 3 carriages with mom and dad standing in front of one with the Duke insignia and the other two with the royal family insignia
Sigh, I should have fought back but I would still get finessed I thought remembering the strength of those guards they were all stronger all of them were dark grey.
"Hey mom and dad how you doing"
I smiled and asked looking at mom and dad looking at me worriedly.
"We are fine let's go"
Mom said and entered the carriage avoiding eye contact dad looked at her go in.
"Let's go, son"
"Hey remove my handcuffs"
"No, please sit in the Grand Dukes carriage"
Sigh
"You need to loosen up dude I bet you've got no girl"
I noticed the guard flinch and go towards the carriage with the royal family insignia on it.
Haha, guess I was right.

I smile and enter our carriage followed by my dad.
I step into the carriage and.
*oomph*
"I'm sorry William we tried to make the emperor redact the punishment but the best we could do was lessen the security"
I look at mom who was hugging me and feels my eyes moisten.
She is really car... No dad and mom care for me huh.
"No mom and dad thank you for everything you've done for me I really appreciate it"
Dad didn't say anything but just patted my head and told me to sit down while mom stopped hugging me and sat down opposite of me beside dad.
I feel the carriage start moving and we just sat there looking t each other for an hour before dad finally broke the silence as he looked out.
"We are going to attack those guards in a bit you need to go to a village that gonna come up soon and hide there for a bit then move around to avoid the pursuit of the guards okay"
"Will you be able to deal with them?"
I asked looking at them this time it was mom that spoke.
"Hmph, if we cant defeat them then what's the point of our titles huh"
I look at mom and realized what they plan on doing...
"No mom and dad you don't need to do all this"
"But that bastard is sending you to freesia firest which is basically a death sentence!"
"Mom believe me I won't die so easily I'll stay alive not only will I stay alive I will be back and strong enough to crush the emperor!"
Mom and dad just looked at each other before sighing
"You better stay alive and make sure you come to see me at the end of the year if you don't me and your dad will storm the palace and destroy the emperor"
Mom said while clenching her fists and the temperature dropped while dad just nodded his head calmly but his eyes were saying a different story.
I wonder what dad had been through to have such killing intent become visible to even someone like me who hasn't killed a human before.
I looked down and smiled finally coming to a conclusion.
"Dad James is a fool but not an idiot just make sure that he doesn't get influenced by bad people and he will make a fine Heir for the dukedom"
I smiled and said.
Mom looked at me confused but dad just nodded.
I guess he knew huh.
We continued talking as I thought about how it would take 2 days to get to the freesia forest.
...
After mom and dad had a very emotional farewell with me and left reluctantly I looked down at my hands to see the missing cuffs.
I guess that guard was not all bad he took off my cuffs in the end.
I look forward to see a forest so big all I could see was trees and mountains far into the distance I guess this is gonna be my home from now on huh Emma?
[Yes it will william]
I take a step forward into fressia forest when I hear a very familiar Ding.

Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends
In the civilized world of humans, 'monsters' have all but passed into legend. But when something goes bump in the night, when people begin to disappear, when a dark mystery begins to haunt even the most peaceful villages, there is only one organization to turn to: the Hunters. The Venatori. Having lived a life of discipline and service, former soldier Caiden Voros finds something even worse than the wars of humans: the monsters that hunt them. Horrors yet unknown even to him and his many scars await in the claws, talons, fangs, and mysterious powers of creatures so far beyond humans that he must dedicate himself entirely to the art of slaying them. Harboring a secret of his own and in a constant struggle to find answers while maintaining his sanity, however, Caiden begins to ask the age-old question... Who is truly worse, the monsters or the Men? Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends is an episodic collection of stories, each of which stand on its own, but they also build upon each other in a consecutive order, bridging a gap between a novel and short story collection. These stories follow monster hunter Caiden Voros and his partner Gwen Vergil as they embark on tales of mystery, horror, and adventure to track down monsters - the living dead, beast-men, shape-shifters, spirits, and many more - that would do harm to innocent lives and, by whatever means necessary, put a stop to their terrors. Their motives, however, are not always what they seem.

Taverns edge - A mercenary's guide to Ley Line traveling
The taverns edge is a fiction that centers around a pair of unusual friends. A mercenary that happens to be a princess of fae, but prefers to stay in a well-known établissement instead of staying in the Sidhe. Moira. Being half a dragon doesn't really help getting along with snobbish elitists at her mother's court. Like all sidhe she likes to strike a good deal... Which has led into many a disaster... Though she always tends to get by, especially when she gets home to the Tavern on the edge. The mentioned établissement is run by the formidable Barkeeper and jack of all trades Tora, who happens to have a very interesting past. Which involves more than one sinister secret... Now add to the mix a totally clueless elven girl - a mortal, not a fae- on the run. Lunara. She has unknowingly struck a deal with the devil - quite literally. Now unable to handle the consequences on her own she enters the tavern on the edge. An epicenter for magic and the only place where she might find help. She talks Moira into helping her out. A race against time begins as the deal's symbols appear on Lunara's skin. The journey leads to the dwarven empire, the sidhe and wherever the crossing leylines under the tavern may lead. This fiction belongs to the same universe as Ancient Blood. English is not my native language, so please don't be harsh. This story is an adaption of an idea, that we, a friend of mine and me, have developed over a few months while taking a break from learning. Some parts were written by Emberspark. Thank you for allowing me to work with your ideas and letting me publish this as a whole. Updates... I will try to frequently update both of my fictions... Well in case you are interested I post it on Scribble hub, too. I really don't steal from myself 😂
