(Day 7)

Ok, it's been a week since I and the others had this place to ourselves. And like everything else I have seen so far in nothin' but fire, ash, and hot as hell... not that I can tell, of course.

Over the past week, all I have been able to do was hunt random animals and monsters. And my grindin' skill and stats. It's been hell! The monsters and beasts-- all fire-themed, by the way, and I don't know if they how much exp I'm gettin'! Very annoying.

Exterminate 100 Fire Monsters to pass the first requirement for obtaining the territory of Hellfire Isle. Time limit: 5 hours

Penalty: The required amount of Monsters to exterminate will be doubled, Hellfire Isle domain will become hostile for one week

This quest requires me to kill at least 100 fire monsters; at least I'm gettin' some decent experience points outta this. But many, I don't know if Zia, Lianna, and Sett could even kill this many!

[Damn, you actually said it! Head to North and fly about five minutes, and head to the altar to start your quest!]

Ah, shizz.

I flew to North, but I never realized there were so many damn fires and monsters! Luckily for me, I encountered none of them before I reached the altar. Well, except for one. A little monster who looked kinda like an eyeball with legs. It was a bit smaller than me.

"Heeeey! Food is here!"

It's a fire monster! Like every other fuckin' thing in here, it shoots fireballs at me. Fortunately, I got out of its line of sight, and I used my wings to blow away the fireballs.

"Hey? "

I look back... And what do I see? My late teammates!

"You three tackle that eyeball freak now!" I order the three dragon hatchlings.

"Alright!" The three young dino-bird lookin' dragons did as I ordered, and they tackled the young beholder. They smashed it to pieces in no time.

I was impressed. These three dragons are growing up faster and stronger than I thought.

And I found out somethin' very important. I'm the youngest one here, barely under a month old. Zia and Sett are three years old, and Lianna is the oldest at five years.

Level, diet, age, and what you train determine how big your body is. The same goes for their wings. Would explain why I'm the smallest...

Still pisses me off, thou' and seems this demonology skill makin' look cooler but not bigger. So enough of me whinnin' like a simp, and take a look at this altar.

The altar looks somethin' out of a demonic cult. There's blood dripping from the top and what seems to be a corpse lyin' on top. What's more, there's a parchment with some words written on it.

[You and one of your allies must go on the red circle while the other must go on the blue. The blues one will be sacrificed to the reds, and you must do it in order to start the quest.]

"Hey, Lianna, go stand on that red circle. " I ordered the ceratosaurus lookin' hatchling.

"Yay, let's go" she smiled as her snake-like tongue hung out.

Turning to Sett and Zia, the green hatchling and the white wyrmling look with orders in mind.

"You two will go on the red sport over there. Sett you will stand on the circle across from Lianna while Zia will be on next to it."

"On it, boss." The duo said with certainty.

[...Damn dude... You did-didn't even hesitate!]

Like that matters to me. I barely know them and Lianna is the only useful one to me right now.

With that out of the way, the four of us are now in the altar circle.

"Alright, guys. This altar will test our strength, and only the strong will survive. No matter what happens, you lot must go on! Understand!?"

Lianna nods. Sett and Zia simply stare at each other.

"I'll be fine, boss!" Sett says, looking at me with his yellow eyes.

"I understand", Zia says, sounding as if she wasn't scared at all.

Good luck, you three.

"Okay, this is gonna be fun!" Lianna said with excitement in her voice.

The circle light up, and I feel a tingling sensation run through my body.

First, we both attack with our claws. Then, we slash each other's forelegs.

Zia, she's quicker than I thought. She quickly dodged mine and hit me with a tail swipe. I block hers with my left arm, but she strikes me again with her tail. Damn, this thing is heavy!

My vision is blurry.

I fire off a volley of 【Feather Daggers】 at Zia; she proved the fastest one of the four of us, so much for that upgrade. She dodges the attack, but lucky I knew she would do that. I was my daggers to the wall behind her, and the daggers ricochet off the wall straight into her back. All of them went straight into her back with one single strike.

She screams and falls down.

I leapt down at the lighting hatchling. As a Utahraptor-like bird of prey, my talons are very sharp. Zia recovered and started blasting me with her lighting daggers attacks. They are like my feather daggers but smaller but shaper than me. It takes a lot to get resistances. I've been tryin' to get poison resistance from Lianna for days now, but all that did was make me sick. So dodge her attack since my hide or feather or whatever can't deal with the damage.

Circling around her, I easily put distance between us as she tried to tackle me. Instead, I jumped my entire body upward, knocking sand and mud into her face, before slammin' my tail on her head. Zia struggled as I also wrapped my tail around her neck, forcing black blood out of her body. I brought my head down on it once, twice—and then she's dead.

Sweet! and with only 34HP left! God, I don't take damage well.

Next, I turn to Lianna.

"Time to go to work, Liana," I said, proud of myself.

"Ok, boss", she replies with confidence in her voice.

The titles 【Underworlder: Lv 1】,【Brawler: Lv 1】 【Dragon Killer: Lv 1】and due to you eating the corpse of your former minion, you have gained some of her skills and added a minor-tiny, small lighting element to your fire core.
