《Omen Philosophy (Web Novel)》Arc 2 Prologue - The Omen Sect's Return
Advertisement
Before the quick and decisive battle against Viscount Baldo and his army, the return of the Omen Sect’s numerous species was required to answer the call of Lord Vicegrerent. The very first species that were on the top of the list would be the Dark Elves. They were one of the few species that were commanded by the previous Vicegerent to remain hidden even before the Omen Campaign. In truth, if the Dark Elves had fought alongside their people against the nations of the Coalition Act, it would have almost been certain that the Omen Sect would not have fallen far from grace. However, the mission that was given to the Dark Elves was something only they can fulfill.
In the massive crystal hall of Holy Manalum, the Dark Elves were lined in organized rows with the King of the Dark Elves, Shadow King Thranduil, his two sons, Prince Regasus, and Prince Reflos, in front.
Step. Step. Step…
Steps were heard clearly in the great, quiet hall.
“My beloved, those that cling to Our command close to their hearts. Rise, We wish to gaze upon you all,” Lord Vicegerent said with a volume that reverberated throughout the massive crystal palace.
In unison, the Dark Elves lifted their heads and gazed upon the one donned in a divine, priestly garment.
“We have awaited for the time when your Grace calls upon us, waiting for the moment in which we may hear your voice once again,” Shadow King Thranduil said.
A soft smile appeared on Lord Vicegerent’s face. Jinn activated his power cosmic and the Dark Elves felt something not felt for hundreds of years - transcendental peace.
In a rare instance when Lord Vicegerent addresses his people, he broke off from King’s speech and spoke personally to King Thranduil.
“I make for a horrible ruler to have burdened someone like you to remain hidden for hundreds of years.”

“A command from Lord Vicegerent is a command from Soa himself. If the command was to remain hidden until the end of time, then we would have humbly submitted ourselves to your will.”
Lord Vicegerent smiled at the words spoken by the Shadow King and approached him.
“We grant thee, a most generous reward and to the rest of your people for remaining true to Our promise.”
The Dark Elves kneeled and personally received the reward for completing their mission that lasted hundreds of years.

Similar to the Dark Elves, the Berserk Dwarves also received a mission from the previous Vicegerent to remain hidden. Though, Dwarves often seclude themselves in their gigantic mountains. Only, their mission was uniquely different.
Berserk King Oghren and his people would receive their audience with Lord Vicegerent as well.
“My old friends, it is a welcoming sight to behold the red hair of the Berserk Dwarves,” hailed Lord Vicegerent.
Much like the previous audience, rows of armored Dwarves organized in regiments with their King in the front, kneeling, presented themselves in front of the ruler of the Seven Heavens.
“King Oghren, it is a pleasure to meet the line of the Berserk King, pioneers of the Berserk Aura.” On a rare occasion, Lord Vicegerent Jinn bowed lightly.
!!
“To receive such a bow from someone like you…” Tears welled up and dropped from the face of the red-bearded King. Although named as such because of the way they fight, Berserk Dwarves also hold emotions as explosive as their nature.
“To those who withhold from that which is blessed and cursed by the Almighty, we grant a most lofty reward to those who have suppressed their anger.”
The Berserk Dwarves received their due reward for having submitted to the will of Lord Vicegerent. It would be a reward directly proportional to suppressing their god-given gift, berserk (anger).

Not all species were summoned to answer the call of Lord Vicegerent. After all, the Omen Campaign had almost destroyed the once-powerful, Omen Nation. Consequently, the population of numerous species had been greatly reduced, some more than others. Lord Vicegerent Jinn fully understood. When the time comes, they would return to their rightful place. For now, the recovery of the Omen Sect was beginning to take place. And, it would start by calling upon several species such as the Giant Tribe.
The Giant Tribe led by Kongol Gigas was the disciple of the Demonic Teacher, Elder Shin Sarutobi. During the Omen Campaign, the Giant Tribe received the brunt of the damage as is displayed by the population present at the holy court. Unlike the Dark Elves and the Berserk Dwarves, the Giant Tribe did not number the hundreds.
“The origin of the human race, the Giant Tribe,” proclaimed Lord Vicegerent. “The ones who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Kongol Gigas, disciple of Elder Saru, step forward and receive thy blessing."
The Dark Elves, the Berserk Dwarves, and the Giant Tribe received heavenly blessings as their reward for the countless sacrifices they made for the sake of the Omen Sect. It was a reward not seen of this world. And, they would make great use of the rewards gifted to them to enact a revenge straight from the heavens.

Alex wakes up in the world of Pokémon. Obviously, the next step is to become a Pokémon Trainer, but not just any Pokémon Trainer. Why should I be mediocre with every type when I can be an expert in one? The Type Specialist is my first attempt to write a fiction. It is solely about travelling the world and building a strong team. Don't expect a solid plotline outside of Alex taking on the Gym Challenge and dealing with small problems that pop up here and there. Updates 5 times a week, every weekday until caught up.

Dark Matter
In the year 2023, scientists investigating the nature of dark matter caused a blackout throughout the entire world of Coranth. With this blackout came the appearance of supernatural and near-magical elemental abilities able to be wielded by all. By harnessing the dark matter in the environment, even ordinary humans now accessed powers that would have been deemed fantasy. These abilities include Wind, Fire, Lightning, Water, and Terra, being the five natural elements of which dark matter is absorbed by the planet itself. Additionally, the two moons orbiting Coranth offer the "Superior" elements of Dark and Light. The year is now 2041, and Dark Matter will follow the story of an adolescent boy named Raiden Sullivan in a dystopian future, 16 years old, eldest of 2, and son to Marcus Sullivan. Raiden is an intelligent young man belonging to a poor family with an absentee mother. He partakes in daily chores to cover living expenses after school and his home life is surrounded by his caring father and younger sister. In truth, this is my take on urban fantasy with slight LitRPG that keeps the "magic" elements somewhat scientific for a more realistic story. In using the dark matter surrounding our universe, humans can now harness elemental abilities as well as absorb dark matter from the beasts/monsters to further strengthen their abilities. For the most part, that'll be the main premise of the power system. Full transparency, this will be the first story I write and also the first story I publish, so please be patient with me. For some context, I'm an avid reader and after 4 or so years of only consuming, I feel that it might be time to try my hand at writing instead. Please feel free to add your opinions and criticism, it would be much appreciated. With that said, I hope you enjoy Dark Matter!
