《Skelly Boy》Chapter 2 : A Rock and an Orc Place

“AAAARRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOAR.” The ORC roars a challenge that shakes the woods and trembles the trees.
Greg’s head rotates around, taking in the sight of the monstrous beast; it’s 7 feet tall and almost as wide, has a body that seems to weigh in excess of 400 pounds and his thick arms are bands of corded muscles! But despite that, his belly is large and glutinous. The creature looks like a warthog, with its massive protruding tusks and beady red eyes that are intelligent but mean.
Matt uses Identity, and information becomes available for both the necromancer and the skeleton warrior-
Orc Warrior
Level : 7
Strength : A++
Magic Power : D-
Speed : C++
Defense : B+
Difficulty Rating : B
Status : Perpetually hungry (Though capable of sitting still, an Orc will always seek to satisfy its urges. Gains an additional strength rating each day he has not consumed human/demi-human flesh.)
Greg slowly backs away from the large beast as he sees the A++ Strength rating allows him to drag a club the size of a small tree across the forest floor.
Orc warrior bellows another challenge and steps closer, its eyes darting between Greg and Matt but mostly on Matt, who, at this point, is mostly trying not to make any sudden movements. A B- is still fast, really fast, actually, and the Orc hasn’t charged because it doesn’t see either the skeleton warrior or the necromancer as a threat. Only the prospect of his prey running away excites the Orc, who has long dreamed of becoming a hunter. The type of Orc that stalks the woods to bring home meat for the tribe. A human covered in sweat from exertion tastes the best, after all.
Matt only has precious few moments before the Orc stops deliberating and decides to knock the skeleton aside to bring the funny-clothed wizard back home to his band of brothers. Only luck and his concealment spell made the other three orcs give up the hunt after his first party fled. Now the only thing standing between Matt and getting his body torn apart is—

“Greg!”
Greg turns his head back to Matt, who at this point seems to have aged ten years. The look of cruel glee is lost, and a careful consideration spreads across the skeleton’s brow.
“I need your help,” Matt pleads. “I didn’t mean to bring you here! I just needed help to fight that thing. That monster right there!”
Matt points to the Orc, who is creeping in ever closer. He swallows hard as his throat is dry from the fear and continues, “Please! I can help you get back home!”
Greg perks up. “I thought you couldn’t?”
“I can. I just can’t right now!”
“You’re lying!”
The accusation almost makes Matt scream in frustration, but high willpower and resolve are a necromancer’s first tools.
“Fuck you! You can blame me, you can kill me, but I’m just the person who cast the fucking level two spell! I don’t know why the fuck you’re here. I can’t pull people across—” Matt looks up and sees the stars and mouths, “Oh fuck”, as he realizes what could have happened. Though it is too stupid of a coincidence for him to admit it out loud.
“So here’s the deal. Whatever you were before, you were human, right? You’re gonna watch me get eaten by a giant pig monster, or are you going to help?”
Greg looks between the pig monster and the necromancer and, with some reluctance, chooses to face the Orc.
“You promise to help me?”
Matt shakes his head. “I promise to try.”
Greg nods and raises his sword. Then realizes that he has no idea what the fuck he is doing.

The Painter: A fantasy psych thriller and epic
*** June 21th Update ***- New chapters are being posted! I haven't figured out a schedule yet, but stay tuned!- Thank you to everyone who has read and reviewed, I'm happy to say The Painter is in the top 200 best-rated fictions. - Readers of The Painter have suggested reading through Chapter 6 before making a decision on this book.- The story takes place in the Lootverse, but you don't need a canonical understanding to appreciate the storyFinally, a warning or reader beware: This is not an action novel (despite the coming fight scene) but a slow-burn psychological thriller of sorts. For a time, the Painter's life was simple. He lived in the small town of Kinon (called Kinney by locals) with his wife, Kahriah and his son, Thesdon. The story begins with him alone and unable to travel more than a few hundred miles from his home. For 5 years he tried to chart his prison until one day a letter appears with a mysterious commission that will see him test his condition and his boundary. Set roughly 50 years before the impending end of days (from Loot canon), The Painter is a story about loss, grit, and exploration of a seemingly normal man in a world of magic and monsters. The Painter will follow the man on his adventure to restore his family, uncover his commissioners and discover the nature of his condition. Loot is the decentralized, global, community built fantasy world based on Dom Hoffman's art/tech experiment: Loot. Fun fact: The cover of our book is painted by the artist, who the MC is loosely based on and the same person painting the Banners (digitally) IRL for an art/worldbuilding project.

Killstealer
Unfinished - Apologies to anyone who was reading but I have no current intentions to revisit this story Alex was stuck in a rut: He was nearing thirty, and his career seemed to be going no-where; He used to have plenty of friends at university, but had gradually lost touch with them. He had recently started using a dating site, but truthfully he never quite got over his ex. It could be worse; he didn't spend his nights wallowing in self pity. However, he had a sinking feeling that his life was going no-where fast. When Alex decided to take up an old hobby all he really was looking for was something fun to do on friday nights. Thrust into another world by a mad mage Alex must adapt quickly to survive. Unfortunately, Alex showed up late to game night and ends up stuck with a pretty mediocre character in this game like reality. Alex must learn to survive in this new world; just because it all seems like a giant game doesn't make death any less terrifying. This will be my first attempt at writing litrpg. I wanted to set myself the challenge of writing every week and I think knowing people might be reading it will motivate me. I've always worked much better with external deadlines. FAQ Why should I read this LitRPG? I am writing because I enjoy it and you should read it if you enjoy it. If I had to make an elevator pitch I would start off by saying my MC is a rogue type character, which seems a relatively uncommon character at least based on what I have read. I also strive to make the supporting cast three dimensional characters, and not just caricatures. Finally, I can't forget that this is a LitRPG so I have tried to make a RPG system with depth, and one that makes sense. How often will you release chapters? At least once a week is my goal. I am a nurse with a baby at home, so between my hospital and my baby I won't have time for more unless something dramatically changes. Will there be romance? I won't rule it out as I try to let my characters write their own stories. However, there will NEVER be a harem, it just isn't something I am interested in. Gore, Profanity, and Traumatising Content? I don't intend to have any of these present at obscene levels, but my tolerance might be different to yours. The tags are mostly there to cover me. Mayhem of Magic
The world revolves around magic. The kingdom of Raekoft lives because of it. Magic is everywhere and flows through everyone and everything, seemingly with a mind of its own. Ritz Dravus is a 17-year-old teen with a rare potential in battle magic. After years of working and saving up money, he can finally attend the best magical academy in Raekoft, Liken Academy. If only he could enjoy his time there. Liken Academy is a place taken over by the upper class. A place where power rules supreme. Ritz’s humble beginnings will struggle in a place where social standing and power defines a person. Rittz will have to go through the usual school drama of making friends, keeping up with classes, dealing with crushes, fighting against bullies, growing insanity, magic manipulation, power scaling and the ever-looming threat of a neighbouring kingdom hungry for war. If magic is the first rule in this world, then mayhem would be the second. Author Note: This is a rewrite of Magic and Mayhem. I've taken a good look at where I would like to take the series and came to the conclusion that I would like to rewrite the story with a more set structure in mind. This is a full rewrite with elements like the story, style and characters changing slightly or completely. Please do give me a chance to provide all of you with a better story for all of you to enjoy. Thank you :)
