Chapter 20
And so you decide to change your Plans a bit, but seeing as your Sword is simply too flashy and rather unique it just won't do to actually use it Today, though you don't wish to destroy or alter your work either. Thus, you have to consider the matter for a moment, and in the end create yourself and your Guards a handful of neat little Discs with a glowing Seven-Pointed Star on both sides, for you can't forget to make some Profit for your Family, while you see such a great Opportunity.
They are easy to create, and should sell quite well, with how they remain in their heat providing State until you tell them otherwise, but you also know how most Humans tend to think, and seeing as normal People aren't all that fond of Magic, selling it as such wouldn't make all that much Sense. That's why you decided to use the Seven-Pointed Star, the Symbol of the Faith, to draw the People into supporting House Lannister even further, and you're sure that your Father will be quite proud of your little Trick.
But you soon chose to push those Thoughts aside and test out if your Creations will actually work as intended, which they did, at least somewhat, for while most of the Snow didn't actually melt and instead just vanished, you still consider it a success. Thus reaffirmed, you made your way towards the Gates of the Rock to visit Lannisport once more, and you're happy that you will have at least a few Weeks to have fun this time. Though you suppose that selling Holy Artifacts for a few Pieces of Copper that provide heat in the middle of a Winter will create you more work than fun, not that you would mind having something useful to do.

For while you haven't learned everything there is to know about the Realm, you're confident that being seen as someone genuinely doing the work of the Gods will bring quite a few Advantages with it. And of course you won't just stand around and give them away, for Lannisport is even in Winter a City filled with Merchants, and it would be problematic if someone would sell your Creation as their own. Thus, you were forced to invest a good amount of time into your Guild to make it all a bit more official, It's truly a pity you couldn't just buy a few Ships for your Guild to create the wanted reach, for it would have saved you a rather astonishing amount of time.
But with fishing being the main way of feeding the Population in Winter there's no one around that would want to sell a good Ship to you, and you can't blame them, for the Fish they catch doesn't just bring them Silver, and Copper aplenty but also keeps their Families from starving. And you can respect that, especially since more Ships leaving to trade means less Ships will remain to fish, which seeing as even the Fleet of your Family is fishing could very quickly cause an abundance of problems, so no Naval Trade for you, it seems.
Though that's hardly the end of the World for you, in Fact, having everything move on Land will allow the Westerlands to benefit the most from your Creation, and seeing as they are cheap and similar to your Statues you can actually gain some Intel into the Land your Family has cultivated for so long, again, hardly the worst of Byproducts a change in your Plans could have had. And after adding a little Lion in the middle of the Seven-Pointed Star, you're sure that no one on the Continent would miss just who created these Artifacts.

You had to invest more Gold into your Guild to make everything go as it should even with the current Weather, but you didn't really care with how efficient they were in your absence, yes, you would say that your continuous support for the Guild is just a small Reward for their good work, and call it a Day. For who doesn't like a Leader that's kind enough to help your Business grow just for being part of their Guild that brings literally no Negatives, and you do aim to please your Subordinates, at least for the time being.
For as long as they deliver results you're happy to throw some Gold their way, and with how fast your Merchants were in procuring the necessary Wagons and Guards, you think they do appreciate the kindness you're showing them. It honestly leaves you wondering how Nobles normally treat the Smallfolk, but you don't wonder for long, for your Mind does get a bit occupied after creating the first few batches of several thousand Discs in Record time. You of course don't have any Records for your work of creating Spirits, seeing as it is the first time you created so many of them, but what matters is that you were ready when the first Wagons were set to depart the Town, and you guess you would see if they would make it under their new Protection.
Or more accurately you would soon feel if they didn't but with how little difficulty a handful of them had to hold back the Magical Snowstorm you don't think you will have to worry all that much. For you do have a good amount of trust in your Mindless little Brothers and Sisters as you had chosen to see them, if they were able to really think and speak you would have sooner realised that they were alive in a way. Though you suppose that with half a dozen of them you wouldn't have realised it in a hundred Years or so, and you find yourself thinking if it's something similar with the Snow.
You do get a great amount of satisfaction out of seeing that Snow pushed out of existence by the warmth and Magic of your Creations, and perhaps that has something to do with why so little Water remains after the Snow has melted. You hope that your Thoughts have simply led you into the wrong direction and that you will just find some Witch or Witcher rather than a Spirit or Elemental responsible for the ever falling but never persisting Snow, yet with the abnormal dislike you hold for whoever covered the Realm in White in Mind, you doubt that you're too far off the Mark.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

Glitch
I always dreamed of being one of the Awakened, one of the heroes that fights back the Insanity on his own terms. They’re always pictured driving the newest cars, wearing the latest clothes, using the best gene-mods and implants. They’re supposed to be more than just human. At least, that’s what I thought until I Awakened. Now my life is a mess of corporate intrigue, shifty politics, cyberzombies and at least one group of revolutionaries whose ideas are sounding better every day. I never wanted to be the punk that brought the system down, but the temptation to just glitch out is growing by the minute. Glitch is a Cyberpunk LitRPG set in a near future where some people are given abilities that allow them to do things that no normal human could ever do. This fiction is written, maintained and owned by Edgar Malboeuf. Copyright 2018

Shard
Wherever you go, whether it be be a bustling metropolis or wild and untamed lands, sentients of every race and creed have some sort of belief in the supernatural. Every culture has stories of mighty beings, incomprehensible in both nature and noticeably, malice. Though many once wished for these stories to be true, they eventually lost much of the significance they once held; yet, the people who told the tales in the first place left them there as lessons. Vital lessons, and more importantly, warnings. Because even though humanity and it's allies had taken to the heavens and prospered like never before, their actions had caused sleeping dragons to stir. Across the universe, a bitter war between mortal and spiritual forces is being waged. Humanity now faces extinction, and if we don't play our cards right, extinction is all but certain. But even though their adversaries have veritable gods among them, humanity still has a few tricks up it's sleeve...
