Chapter 55
For now, you simply decided to focus on reading the Books that caught your Interest to avoid a waste of time while you waited for the first Batch to show some Potential, for you preferred to use the time to sharpen your Mind if there was truly nothing of significance that needed attention. But while you had no Interest in becoming complacent you quickly realised that you had a surprisingly good time in the Library, due to the perfect exchange of Noise and Silence while the Children were too innocent to truly understand who you were, your time here was even more enjoyable than the many times you teased Marie, without any of the side effects.
Though that being said, very few of them could actually compete with Marie seeing as she got the assistance of literal Gods for the biggest part of her Life who of course taught her one Lesson after another over the Years. And while she clearly failed to grasp most of them you could see the Difference quite clearly, though there were still three talented Boys of ten, eleven and twelve in the Batch that you took an Interest in, all three of them being Brothers with the same golden Hair.
They were of course still young, but they progressed much faster than you had thought would be possible for Children, and more importantly, all three of them not just understood that the Goal of all this was the grooming of new Talent, but they also showed Interest in staying. Thus, you decided that the three of them would need to be trained personally, for you realised that they weren't just fast Learners but could reliably think for themselves to the Extent that they could already gain new Knowledge by just reviewing what Knowledge they already possessed.

You had already planned to train a few of the Children in the first Batch personally, but Antos, Maltor and Tilon just exceeded your Expectations by such a large Margin that it would be a complete waste to wait any longer to begin with their Training even if they still struggled a bit with reading. Especially considering that you could train a Group as small as three Children in the Rock without a problem, meaning the unfinished Facilities in Lannisport wouldn't restrict you in what kind of Training you could put them through as long as you considered the reading problem.
"Marie, can you fetch me the Argun Brothers?"
"Sure, Azami, can you tell me why you need them?"
"I want to continue their Training in the Rock Tomorrow."
"You know why we're here, Marie, I think they would make for good Troop and later Formation Leaders, so I want to ask them directly to make sure they're interested, seeing as the Training would take a few Years."
"Okay, I can do that, but it will take a Minute."
...
"Your Grace."
"Your Grace."
"Your Grace."
"Ah yes, thank you for the polite Greeting, but let's get directly to the matter at Hand, I'm rather impressed with your swift Progress and as such I would ask if the three of you would wish to serve House Lannister?"
"And if you and your Parents indeed hold such a Wish, I myself and my House would be more than happy to finance your further Education into the fields you would require for your work."
"What kind of work, my Lady?"
"Nothing too complex any time soon, my good Antos, but seeing as I have no Wish to build a Castle in the Sky here, I would like to keep most of your future Options and Duties to myself for now."

"But I can tell you that you would learn much, like for Example how to fight with a Sword, the Geography of the Land, how to properly interact with Nobles and of course how to manage Supplies for the Troops of House Lannister."
"Do you three believe that such a future is something for you?"
"Yes, your Grace!"
"Yes, your Grace!"
"Yes, your Grace!"
"My, what Unity."
"Now I know this little Exchange was rather one-sided and short considering I summoned you all the way to me, but that would honestly be it for now, though I would still need you to send your Parents my way Tomorrow or the Day after before we can start to expand your Lessons."
"And another small thing, you will also be required to wear these Necklaces when you enter the Rock, so it might be best if you got used to wearing them in advance."
"The Rock, your Grace?!"
"Of course, my good Antos, where else do you suppose my House would keep its Wealth of Knowledge gained throughout the Ages, what place in the Westerlands would be better suited to train the Men serving House Lannister?"
"You're of course correct, my Lady."
"Hmm, say Antos, is there a Reason for why your Brothers remain silent?"
"Well, we were never taught how to speak to someone of your Standing, my Lady, so we decided it would be best to keep what we say to what's absolutely required as much as we can."
"That does seem quite reasonable, though you can be assured that these things will become less important once you three officially enter into my Service seeing as I care more about Deeds than Words, perhaps you will even insult me to my Face one Day like Marie back there, I would not care if it was in Private."
"We wouldn't dare!"
"Well, we will see, won't we?"
"Though again, as long as you three perform, and you're loyal once you enter my Service, I won't care either way."
"I understand that this is something you can't quite grasp by looking at your Faces, but that's why a part of your Training will contain Lessons to properly interact with Nobles, doesn't it?"
"But be that as it may, I'm sure you will understand in time once you join my Retinue so don't overthink my Words, there wouldn't be a use to it as long as you don't have the Experience to properly understand the Speaker which would be me, but now off you go, reading and writing is after all still required for your future Duties."
