RB Chapter 11 Memories
"So tell me, what brings you here!"
Lisa's friend Veronica asked after some small talk. It seemed to her like Lisa was taking forever in the small talk, so she decided to ask.
Lisa took a deep breath before...
"Do you know how to break a clone's connection to its master?"
"Oh! That must be related to that doppelganger of your son!"
"News sure does travel fast! It has only been a few days!" Lisa was shocked.
"It isn't too shocking, all people who are in the gene profession found out about it. He's the first improved clone to appear in our city. It has created a lot of curiosity in the genetic community. We want to know how the Masanyalaze clan succeeded." Her eyes lit up as she explained.
'She wants to know too but, I can't expose any information.'
"I can't say anything!" Lisa immediately denied.
"Tch! It must be the confidentiality agreements imposed by the big clans!" She clicked her tongue.
"Anyway, could you please answer my question?" Lisa pleaded with a quiver in her voice.
"Since I haven't created any clone, I can't help you! Even if you go to another person, they won't know how to unless you present all the documents related to the clone." Veronica revealed.
Lisa's face turned a little pale.
'How can I get the documents! That is impossible! Should I ask?...nononono...they will suspect me...' Her mind became a mess.
"But...I will give you an untested solution!"
Lisa looked towards her friend. The gaze was heavy with hope.
"The solution is to kill the master of the bond...but I don't know any consequences which might result from it, besides I don't think you would kill your son for a clone, now would you?" Her inquisitive eyes stared straight at Lisa.
Lisa's hands clenched.
"What if...let's say I want him dead...?" She grit her teeth.
"What!!! Lisa! What happened when you separated from us? Could you really do that?" Veronica abruptly stood up, knocking down her chair in the process.
"Nothing happened...its just that my husband and son...let's just say we don't see eye to eye."
Questions were still in her mind but seeing that Lisa didn't want to talk about them, she didn't ask.

"In a few weeks, Kampala city is going to change. The ten clans system is going to be removed. The people who told me that asked me to join in."
Lisa's eyes widened.
"If you truly can give up on your husband, I can ask them to spare the clone out of the friendship we have..." She continued.
"It seems the ten clans have reached their end..." Lisa felt something in her heart.
"Of course! Nothing lasts forever. A council or federation is going to be formed. Everyone will be treated as equals." Veron exposed.
"Give me a few days. I am currently not in any state to think about that." Lisa asked as she stood up.
"My friend! I told you this because you are my friend. I hope you haven't changed from our younger days that you would betray me!" Verena exhorted.
"I won't...even if I ultimately refuse your offer." She promised.
The rain had started when Lisa had been driving. It had been so heavy that she had decided to park on the side of the road lest she cause any accidents.
'Could I really let my son die?...' She sighed as a heavy feeling settled in the pit of her stomach. It was a choice which pitted her son against the life of a clone.
'But both are my sons. Besides she said the ten clans will fall? Could it be that they are going to kill everyone? It doesn't matter...I have no one I care about enough to warn.'
'I need to resolve myself. I will see what happens during this weekend and use it as the basis for my decision.'
'If he had loved me...I wouldn't be in such a dilemma.'
The memories of their first meeting played in her mind.
------
"Nice to meet you Mr. Baguma. I am your new secretary."
She had been cheerful then, meeting him had caused her young heart to flutter. He had been the handsome, rich and powerful gentleman every naive girl who had just come of age desired.
His blue eyes and muscular body had captivated her. She worked as his secretary for just two weeks before he bedded her.
He must have done that countless times because he knew how hit the right buttons to make her fall for him that fast.

A few months later, her clan members and she herself had been ecstatic when they found out that she was with child. She had immediately raced over to tell him the good news, only to find him with another woman at what had been their dating spot.
Something within her had shattered. Baguma and his date didn't see her as she hadn't approached them.
She had went back home and closed herself off in her room. Her first love...tragic.
A few day later, her parents and clan members who had wanted to ride on the coattails of the Masanyalaze clan finally found out that she hadn't told the man she was pregnant.
Her parents had forcefully dragged her out of her room and taken her directly to the man. They had threatened him and secured the marriage agreement.
During the negotiations, she had lowered her head while the man she had loved simply treated her like she didn't exist.
The clan rejoiced when her parents went back with the contract.
After the wedding, which had been a simple affair since the Masanyalaze partriach hadn't wanted the other clans to know about the out-of-wedlock pregnancy, she had consoled herself with...
'The baby will bring back his heart.'
That hadn't happened at all.
He had even managed to turn her son, who had been a sweet boy against her.
-------
Lisa wiped away the tears which had been running down her cheeks as she looked out into the rain.
"I thought I had forgotten all that!" She mumbled.
'I shouldn't shed tears for something which was doomed from the start. I should atleast try to save the son who hasn't turned against me.'
She waited until the heavy rain lightened into a drizzle and turned back. She had made up her mind.
------
"I accept your offer!"
Veronica was shocked by her friend's loud voice when she had just invited her in.
"That was fast. I truly want to know what made you make up your mind that fast but...I have a feeling you won't answer." She said.
She gave her a cup of tea since she had just been outside in the cold weather. Though it wasn't necessary as the current humans could just speed up the rate of their metabolism.(it consumed energy, but who cared?)
"Tell me more of what plans the organisation has." She wanted to at least have the date of their undertaking.
"Well...they haven't told me much." Veronica mumbled out as she shifted in embarrassment.
"You don't know anything, do you?" Lisa asked.
"They just came and told us like those salesmen of the past! It was door to door."
"So...you wanted me to join an organisation which you don't have any say in! Aren't you naive?"
Lisa, who had been in the Masanyalaze clan and experienced much was more mature than her counterpart.
"Then, do you know of any higher ups?"
"None, but there might be people who know them. But all that doesn't matter. What you need to know is that if chaos starts, hide!"
"That would be hard since I will have to wait until Elec and Baguma die! Eric will be protecting Elec and he might die first. I don't even know what I am going to do?"
Lisa sighed as she resigned herself to play everything by the ear.
Her friend didn't help much and she was referring going to her.
It was about to reach the time for lunch so she excused herself and hurried back home.
She loved eating her home cooked meals. They were better than those of the restaurants.
-----
The week passed like that.
Elec and Eric were enjoying their school lives. The two cubs hadn't messed with Elec since which had brought peace to his life.
Leah spent the days in anticipation just like her mother who even marked the days and intensely debated on her choice of clothes.
Baguma was also anticipating the meeting due to Ivy.
The last thing on their minds were the undercurrents brewing in the background. To them, those things were minor. They didn't think the lesser clans were of any threat.
"Godfrey! I heard that that guy is going to visit the Masanyalaze clan. That woman from the Musota Butwa clan found out and also will be going. Phase 1 of the plan is going to start next week!" A voice message appeared on Godfrey's phone who had been in his lab.
"Hehehehehehe...finally! Revenge! Grandfather! The time of their retribution has come!" He shouted as his voice increased with every word until the very air started vibrating intensely.

(Un)Paralleled
Based on the novel by MGHT, Unparalleled. Things are not as they were. In this alternate story, follow our Hero(?) as he traverses the world. But, is this world really the one we know? I will be using MGHT's original story as a guideline, and applying my own touch to it. Due to there being a lack of information on the wider scope of things, I'll be throwing in things that may not adhere to the original author's plans. Then again, what fun is there in reading something that has already been done? Tags and genres stated are subject to change without notice, be it the addition or removal of tags. Cover art is a fanart I found online a long time ago. Character is Gyuki from Nurarihyon No Mago.

Daily life of a cultivation judge
Tired of those cultivators who think it is righteous to eliminate a sect or clan root and stem all in the name of revenge and avoiding future troubles, fights over treasures that end up destroying cities with no consequence whatsoever to the culprit, these psychos whose aim for the peak always involves a trail of carnage and bloodshed in its wake for some reason. Then look no further than the daily life of a cultivation judge. Yang Qing, is a young genius cultivator from a low-tier family whose only safe choice to get resources and hopefully lead an easy life led him to the courts of the Cultivation Order Society. Author’s disclaimer: Hey there this is my first novel so any criticism will be well taken though beware I’m a million-year-old monster who has cultivated the way of the sword to the peak. The daily life of a cultivation judge will be true to its name so it will be heavily on the slice of life lane with a bit of action here and there.Meaning we will see the life of Yang Qing when he clocks in and out. Hopefully, it will be one of those novels you read if you need to relax or are in a slacker mood like one of those otakus who listen to the noises of cicadas in the summer famously used in most animes. And it is in the slacker spirit that chapter release will be on Wednesday,Thursday and Friday. Sank yuuu Cover art by Conny Schneider on Unsplash
