RB Chapter 56 Finally!
With every step Elec took, he felt as if his heart would burst! He could feel a certain pressure, but he didn't slow down one bit! He ran towards the resting cow. It wasn't a bull, the milk jugs, on its stomach gave that away! He almost laughed despite himself, when that thought passed through his mind.
He felt footsteps behind himself. Even though they were in tandem with his, he could clearly tell the difference! Eric was definitely at his back!
That alone brought a feeling of relief to wash over him.
'No! He is someone I hate! I can't trust him!' He chasitised himself.
The beast seemed to be caught off guard, or it was still groggy from its nap, but, he saw that this was the perfect chance!
The beast turned its head, making the crown of horns face him.
'What is it doing?' He wondered.
One of its horns enlarged in front of his eyes giving him the illusion that it was growing! But that wasn't what had happened! The cow had fired one of the sharp horns on its crown!
Elec didn't even have time to think causing his instincts to take over making his hand take the reflexive action of blocking!
His right hand moved at a speed he never thought possible and placed itself in front of him directly in the path of the horn!
The impact of the horn caused his arm to crash into his chest and a yelp of pain to escape his lips. He almost slowed down! But he didn't want to disappoint his watching father, so he continued.
The horn hadn't had enough penetrative power to pierce through the defenses provided by the scales, but it packed one hell of a punch! His right arm was now useless as the elbow joint had sustained damage.
'This is my chance!' His eyes lit up! The beast had just launched an attack and it was still at its knees!
His body lit up with arcs of electricity causing his speed to shoot up exponentially. His left palm was spread out!
'I am going to electrocute you to death!' He shouted in his mind. Right now all the actions of the beast had slowed down in his vision. He could see its legs buckle up so that it could stand up!

He reached it in an instant and clasped its horn with his left palm, which was clad in electricity.
'Die!' A curve started to form as his lips rose up. 'Finally, father will acknowledge me!'
"Idiot! You made a mistake!" A voice rang out in his mind as he was getting carried away with elation.
-------
Eric had just seen some of the most stupid thing in his short life! Elec had just touched the cow's dry horn.
'What is that guy thinking? The horn can't conduct electricity! It could if it was wet, but its dry!' He thought.
'Idiot! You made a mistake!' He didn't dally and instead directly transmitted his voice to Elec's mind. Speech would have been slow, so he had just revealed some of his secrets. But right now that was the last thing on his mind. Elec was in peril...or was about to be!
But as he neared the cow, it sensed him!
It had tried to violently jerk its head upwards in order to throw Elec off but he held on for dear life!
'I mustn't let go!' That was the only thought in his head! He was also worried that in order to get him off, it would eject its horns like when it attacked, but so far it hadn't happened. That was still worrisome as he didn't know if it could!
The cow, upon seeing that the boy wasn't letting go, turned its head towards the incoming Eric. It was trying to use Elec as a shield or weapon.
'Heh! This trick won't work in me twice!' He scoffed!
As Elec's back neared him, he performed a rotation around Elec's body. The spinning, caused his body to accumulate force, which had to be released!
As he spun past Elec, he could see a look of terror etched on his features! He was practically on the verge of crying!
Eric was rotating clockwise to the left of Elec. In that position, he tapped the ground and his spinning body left the ground to continue its spins horizontally in the air, where he raised his left leg and kicked the back of the cow which had been trying to stand! Its knees buckled and its four hooves sank into the cemented floor!
All that time he had been channeling energy and concentrating it at his foot!

The moment that his kick landed, Elec made the split second decision to let go.
The two boys slid backwards after one attacked and the other was rescued. They had to take a breather.
"What was that about? Are you an idiot? What the..."
"Shut up!" Elec shouted in annoyance when Eric tried to chastise him.
'Shit! I made a mistake and had to be rescued! Damn it! Damn it! I need to get myself together!' He shouted in his mind. His hands were clenched so hard that the nails of his fingers had dug deep and punctured through the scales, drawing blood.
'I just had to waste energy!' He could almost feel a weak feeling enveloping his body.
'It looks like he is frustrated. I won't continue to scold him.' Eric chose to focus back on the cow which had now stood back up and making sounds from its nose everytime it exhaled. It must have been enraged!
"Elec. I don't care what's on your mind, but right now we need to succeed!" Eric spoke calmly without taking his eyes off of the cow.
"I know!" That was all he said and took a deep breath. Upon exhaling, his eyes gained a touch of sharpness and electrical arcs.
It's hide was black, an oily black which glinted in the sun upon walking out of the shade. It was regarding the two intruders with hostility.
It bent its knees a little, thighs bulging and prepared to dash...that was how the two boys saw it!
"Its coming!" Eric shouted before the cow kicked off with all its legs! Their mouths widened! They had thought it was going to sprint towards them, but it had done something else! Its powerful legs had kicked off with such force that they propelled it a few feet in the air horizontally close to the ground. That alone had created a speed incomparable to just charging!
Eric made a split second decision to push Elec away. He used such force that the counter force also pushed him away! Before the even fell to the ground, the cow passed through where they had just been!
Its airborne body crashed into the brick wall, shattering it and scattering pieces of blocks in all directions.
As Eric's body was about to touch the ground, he placed his left palm onto the ground and released a force which pushed him back to his previous position.
He didn't waste any time and turned around to assault the beast before it could find its footing.
Right now he wasnt putting too much of his cellular energy in energy channeling. He wasn't yet adept enough and it required visualisation. Fighting while doing that was a massive problem. He only did it by increasing the speed at which his brain processed information. In order to reach full mastery, you needed to be capable of doing it unconsciously.
As the cow was shaking its head to try and clear the dust from its head, Eric attacked!
He wasn't the only one as Elec too was attacking! One on the left, and the other on the right!
Eric abruptly sped up and Elec followed suit! They reached the butt of the beast and its swishing tail entered their sights.
They exchanged a look and each understood what the other was going for instinctively.
Eric drew back his left hand and his palm took on a knife like arrangement with the fingers. The black scales which had been covering it had arcs of electricity bounce across them. His nails became sharper and more refined for piercing! Elec's right hand was also drawn back the same way.
When they reached a few inches away, their hands struck! It was like they could read each other's minds as it was simultaneous!
The hide, which was supposed to protect the cow wasn't even able to stop the hands from plunging into the two sides of the cow's butt cheeks!
A cry of pain escaped the cow's mouth as the electricity wreaked havoc within its body. Its body temperature rose and its brain was fried before it could take action.
A few minutes later, the boys were panting heavily seating among the rubble. A charred smell was wafting from the cow's body.
"We need to take it away from here. The sound must have attracted the other beasts nearby." Eric stood up and raised the front placing it on his head. Elec did the same to the back and they took off! Time was of the essence!
TRIVIA
The two boys had used opposite charge when they electrocuted the cow. The interaction between the opposition charges had caused its body to heat up.
