RB Chapter 128 Memory Of Despair (3)
"Heh! Even...I can feel it!...the chilling danger! You are a very special human,...a pity...you won't get the time...to develop your potential." The monkey's white fur puffed out and stood on end.
Eric, the one nearest to Baguma was shivering. He could feel it. Right now Baguma appeared to be in a state of complete rest, no energy coming off from his body, but a cold chill was in the air.
Even the hot sun did nothing to dispel the chill.
Eric, wanted to see the current expression the monkey was making, so he raised his gaze. What he saw caused his mouth to almost fall to the ground.
The monkey had vanished, what was left in its place were balls of light. They appeared to be pulling in the light, causing a distortion to appear, which was messiing with his vision.
Baguma, whose life signs had converged to the point of almost vanishing appeared like a dead body.
The two appeared to be accumulating power, preparing themselves for one final move.
Baguma made the first move, electricity, so thick that it formed an armor, covered his body instantly.
Then his body turned into a blue streak which vanished, to instantly appear within the light ball field.
(First Move) a telepathic message made its way into Eric's mind, but it seemed that Baguma was doing it unconsciously, due to the enormous release of his powers.
Baguma's right hand slashed down from above. The sword, too was clad in electricity. The blade soundlessly sliced down vertically towards a seemingly empty spot.
The monkey, which had been spotting a nonchalant expression for a while now, had its face contort into an ugly expression.
'My concentrated light won't be activated fast enough!'
Boom! Boom! Boom!
A string of explosions rang out as an arm sailed through the air. It had white fur and wrinkly skin on the palm. The string of explosions had been formed due to the shattering of the sound barrier.
A line, extended from under Baguma's feet to the edge of the building. It had been caused by the blade! Its depth, unknown for now!
The blade itself had already melted down into a puddle of liquid. One attack, and the toughest metal had been rendered useless!
The moment the monkey dodged, it's body became illusory and vanished from Baguma's vision.
Only a little more than a second had passed!
Eric's body appeared to be frozen...no, moving in slow motion! His mind had only managed to capture the telepathic message so far, after all, it could work far faster than the body.

If you could peek into the electrical armor, you could see that Baguma's skin was charred to a crisp.
(Second move)
He didn't waste any time, since he knew that he didn't have enough time!
Zzzzzt!
His body vanished, once again appearing in a another spot, this time launching a palm at another seemingly empty spot.
'How is he managing to find me? His vision isn't working well and sound can't be relied on at such speeds! I am also using the field to distort any other methods of observation!' The monkey was quaking in its boots. Baguma's current attacks were posing a very huge threat to its life! A swing of the blade had managed to sever its left arm since it had been slow in reacting!
Electricity crackled, a plasmic glow coated the palm. Even before it made contact, the searing heat burnt the monkey's chest hairs to a crisp.
When the palm was about to make contact, a rush of electromagnetic waves bombarded it, causing the electric armor to show holes in some places.
Charred skin was the only visible thing that showed from the places the armor had been scattered from. Baguma's eyes had already even exploded!
The monkey's heart skipped a beat when it caught a glimpse of that charred face, but it still didn't waste the chance it had created. It once again retreated to another side of the building at the fastest speed it could muster.
Zzzzzt!
Light beams, from the orbs of light that the monkey had formed prior attack passed through Baguma's body. The monkey had extended its domain to make sure that they were still in its grasp.
Before it could even have a chance to rejoice...
(Th...ird move)
A broken transmission entered its mind causing its expression to drastically take a turn for the worse. It has also been able to listen in in the transmissions, as Baguma's mental capacity had been so enhanced that he had lost control.
The light beams had only managed to pass through an afterimage!
The monkey's domain managed to capture a figure just behind it, but the figure was so fast that, it exceeded its reaction speed!
A leg, coated in electricity, appeared in the monkey's vision, as it was turning to look back, contorting its body in a normally impossible posture. Baguma had kicked out horizontally! The kick was heading towards the right side of the monkey, the waist.
This time, the monkey appeared to have run out of tricks, so it only coated its right arm with plasma and put the palm in the trajectory of the kick.

'I can do it! I can block it!' It thought. But the moment the kick made contact, it realised that there had been an error in it's calculations, causing its face to pale.
It had failed to take into consideration the increased mass in relative to speed!
Shooo! Boom!
The kick passed through the monkey, tearing it in half. The wind generated alone caused the concrete to splinter wherever it passed! Even Baguma's leg had been hurled away due to the speed.
The two halves of the monkey's torso simply faded after some time. It looked like this time, the monkey had managed to trick him.
After that attack, Baguma didn't attack once again, causing the place to enter a temporary lull.
The fight had been so fast, that before Eric had even processed the first attack, the fight had ended! About 1 and a half seconds had passed!
The electricity encasing Baguma's figure scattered into the surroundings causing a charred humanoid to appear in Eric's vision.
His eyes involuntarily teared up upon seeing it. He was truly an admirable man. He hadn't been that close with him, but he had taken it upon himself to use a self harming method to try and save the lives of the two boys.
Eric only had eyes for the charred figure, tears continuously streaming down his face.
A breeze blew causing it to disintergrate into ashes, scattering in the wind.
The third move had been the last attack his body had been capable of before being incinerated completely.
"Admirable!" A voice appeared in the surroundings causing Eric's expression to drastically change. His tears stopped flowing and he looked around vigilantly. He stood up and carried Elec's body on his shoulder.
The voice belonged to the monkey it had survived by projecting an image of itself at another place while it's true self hid. That had been a gamble, as Baguma had still been able to sense the two forms.
If it had been just a simple illusion, then Baguma might not have been tricked, but it had made a myriad of waves converge on its real body and the fake, causing them to be indistinguishable in Baguma's senses.
If Baguma's sight had still been working, he would have been able to pick up on the trick, but alas, his eyeballs had exploded earlier in due to the temperature.
The monkey had been awed by Baguma's sacrifice and developed a modicum of respect for the man.
A vague outline appeared in front of Eric before the monkey appeared in place.
Its left arm was missing, cleanly cut off, without any imperfection. Blood wasn't gushing out. Its chest was also red, caused by being in close proximity to burning plasma.
The monkey also had a tired look in its eyes. A massive amount of energy had been used to fuel its movement and the brain cells which maintained the mental domain.
The monkey stopped and looked at the place where Baguma's charred body had been and stayed silent for about 5 seconds.
'I will fight!' Eric had resolve written all over his face. He placed the unconscious Elec down onto the ground and adjusted his attitude. Baguma had inspired him. Inspiration, though, didn't mean that you had reached the same level as him.
The monkey bowed a little, sighed, and then turned its attention to the other two humans. All manner of expression vanished from its features and it became emotionless.
That alone caused Eric's heart to palpitate in his chest, but he still had a firm expression plastered on his young face.
The monkey became blurry for a split second before a shadow fell onto the boy.
'So fast!' The center of Eric's pupils contracted into needle points.
He didn't even have a chance to react before the monkey's fingers lined up, parallel to each other, transforming into a palm blade which it brought down diagonally from his left.
Its nails penetrated skin, cut through the skull bone on the nose and then through the neck, severing arteries, continuing through the right lung and severing the ribs.
But, Eric, due to having a special constitution felt every pain that came from every severed tissue. The pain was so excruciating that he wanted to scream out but his mouth couldn't keep up with the speed at which the monkey was slashing. His brain was getting all the signals, but the reaction of the body was slow.
The monkey's expression didn't change any one bit, even though it was taking the life of a teenager, something it understood but didn't care about, as it was ultimately, still a beast. No matter how intelligent it got, that would never change!
NB; there are some special circumstances related to the wide coverage of the monkey's mental domain. They will be explained later on.

If you by any chance missed the tags and didn't read the warning, please do that now. I really recommend you to. Before you jump to reading, and unintentionally scar yourself, do mind that the story is about a dark, unforgiving world, a world in which you have more opportunities to die a horrible death, than take a piss. Hero doesn't have great luck, he has dumb persistance, he doesn't go through any trial with a breeze, he pays the price of blood, flesh and tears to live..and will be paying for every mistake.. No one outright explains anything to him, just as us for the most part - he is not sure what the hell is going on.. Some real survival tactics are used as a base of the descriptions, they are as important to the world and character as any other element.. Mind that the story starts really slow, but as the stone starts rolling downhill - the pace gets faster.. Every tag for this novel has a reason to be there, so if you don't see the particular element there, don't panic.. it's either well camoufalged, subtle or simply not encountered as of yet. Big thanks to Hobbo, Enyhrye and Hveth! ...not only pointing that the description could be better, but providing invaluable input.. and being patient enough to give fleshed out advice.
