RB Chapter 136 Kampala City's Preparations
"The red zones you see here, are the ones which have a high population of beasts, and the deep red denotes the presence of a spectrum level beast." Cleo continued with her presentation.
"There will be yellow marks appearing on it denoting the troops, weapons and energy channellers participating in the war."
"All cities will get to share in this map, but it will only denote their cities and the surrounding region. If you want to view another region, it will be up to the members here and emergency situations."

"The African federation is going to wield a lot of power in this war." Chloe commented. She was seating to the right of Eric, opposite Elena. Leah was directly opposite Eric. They were all donning black combat suits with a few variations here and there.
Elena and Leah were occasionally sneaking glances at Chloe's bosom which had become even more prominent due to the suit. There were all sorts of emotions in their gazes as they beheld those huge mountains.
Eric was admiring his combat suit while watching the televised war meeting. It was composed of a black scaly texture which was slippery to the touch. The scales glistened in the artificial light.
Leah and Chloe were also donning the same kind of suit, while Elena's was composed of thread. These suits weren't made in Kampala city but had been provided by the federation to all the energy channelers.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" Leah, whose eyes were mostly on him, asked upon seeing him continuously running his fingers in its surface.
"Yeah, and it seems like it won't hinder the usage of our genetic abilities." Eric commented without raising his gaze. Leah pouted as she had wanted to chat a bit more.
"The air force will be denoted in blue and will only be capable of being activated by the council as we have previously discussed.
The spectrum warriors will be our trump card, so, only I will know of their movements."
"...now, the time is 10:00am. All of you should head back and make your preparations-ah! Also, if you once again appear in this room, this map will be visible to you in its entirety, not just the region. You can come back here any time you want. At 2:00pm we will start the war!" She shouted after that and the various holograms started vanishing from their seats after she had finished.

Elder Muti who had had his eyes closed open at this time.
'It looks like the war is going to be in full swing...though I wonder what a spectrum warrior is? I should have been notified if our city had one.' Elder Muti sank into his thoughts after the meeting.
"Elder." A soft voice called out from his front, dispersing his wandering thoughts.
Right now, he wasn't in his previous office, but a large conference room. There was a green long rectangular table with green wood marks on it. It had been carved from a rare green tree, literally! All of its insides were green just like its leaves. Its rarity also made it an expensive commodity, which could only be bought by those rich enough, but also with connections.
Multiple seats lined both sides of the long table, with the head seat being occupied by the elder himself.
The people with the qualifications to appear here were those he either trusted, or had high positions within the city.
On his left, were those who had a high enough standing within the city to appear here, for example, company owners...mostly those related to logistics and on his right were his loyal surbodinates, who were also going to be in charge of all the weaponry.
"You heard the girl, we are about to enter war, if anyone takes this chance to sabotage or seek for personal benefits, I will personally kill them!" The elder talked calmly, but there was a firmness in his voice.
"No one here will do such a thing! Even before you unleash punishment, the African federation itself will." One of the men, dressed in a bright red suit on his left said. He had a pot belly and his cheeks were bulging like something was inside his mouth. Don't think that this was obesity or something like that. This was brought on by his unique genetic sequence.
Elder Muti narrowed his eyes at the man. He was the leader of the faction composed of the companies that had supported him.
He was the closest to Elder Muti on the left side and 9 more were down from him.
On elder Muti's right side, his surbidinates were outnumbered by the people on the left. They were less than five.
"You people are going to be in charge of handling the resources needed by the energy channellers. Is that satisfactory?" Elder Muti asked.

"I heard that two of the leading scions of the previous leaders of this city, the ten clans aren't going to be participating in the war, can you clarify on that?" The man with the potbelly asked instead of answering the elder's question.
A gentle breeze entered through the opened glass windows, rustling the vegetation in the room. The entire hall had plants growing in pots. There was grass on the floor and the walls. It was short, but vibrantly green.
The other nine on the potbellied man's side also curiously turned their eyes towards the elder.
"Are you trying to undermine my authority?" Elder Muti's voice deepened and a terrifying aura enshrouded the room causing the ten to show looks of horror.
"You should remember, your authority has already stopped working ever since the war started. I am the highest leader. If you disobey or question me, you will die." He coldly said.
"Hehehehehe..." A giggle came from the right side enraging the ten on the left. You could see veins bulging on their foreheads but they didn't dare say anything.
The one who had giggled had been Kiwuka, this time, she was in a green tracksuit. Her hair had been bundled up and tied up into a ponytail.
"Elder, these people still don't know that the leader of the city currently holds the highest amount of power in this war. And if they plot anything contrary to you, you have full authority to punish them." Kiwuka rubbed salt into their wounds.
"Elder Muti, since we are not that well versed in war, we would like to be excused to go and arrange the resources needed." The man with the potbelly asked, trying to sound as polite as possible, a strained smile on his lips.
"Sure, you can go." Elder Muti waved them away. They stood up and walked out of the room.
"Heh...weak cowards. I don't even understand what gives them the right to think that they are our equals." Kiwuka snorted in disdain.
"Right now they are still useful. Their hands are filled with resources like food, medicine andany others. I can't afford to antagonise then right now." Elder Muti sighed.
"They do own almost 75% of the companies in the city after all." A male voice came from the right of Kiwuka.
"Ntenume, it has been a long time since we last met, how have you been?" Kiwuka asked the burly man beside her. His bald head had gained a bundle of hair which had grown to the point of cascading down his back. A beard originated from under his nose, down the side of his lips and swayed beneath his chin.
The previous arrogant personality he had had vanished to be replaced by calmness. His demeanor was almost on the verge of matching that of Elder Muti now.
"It has been a long time..." The man sighed. The moment he had been stomped into the ground in one move by Leo Mpologoma, his life had changed. He had felt so humiliated that he had resigned from the police force and stayed at home. He didn't even participate in Elder Muti's uprising.
"Have you gotten over the defeat?" Elder Muti asked.
"Yes elder, though if it wasn't for the mandatory participation in the war, I wouldn't have come." The man answered calmly, returning elder Muti's gaze without any change in expression. He was calm, not because of nonchalance, but like a volcano, on the verge of erupting.
"You have matured. I didn't think that a simple set back like that would change you so thoroughly!" Even the elder was shocked.
"I finally understood one simple thing, strength is king. Being in a powerful faction doesn't make you yourself strong." Ntenume said calmly. He raised the teacup and took a sip. The tea originated from a genetically altered plant courtesy of elder Muti himself.
"Are you ready to participate in this new era, it are you still going to take a backseat?" Kiwuka asked.
"The elder gave me an evolutionary suggestion and I intend to take it on after this war." Kiwuka said as she looked towards the elder.
"You would have discovered it sooner or later, there is no point in praising me." The elder didn't take the credit.

"Montana, come here." He nodded his head toward the door, leaving out of the room. Staying silent as Ms. Carol looked at me, I kissed the back of Josiah's hand before leaving out of the room. As I walked out, Messiah stood there looking at me in disgust while I closed the door. "What are you doing that shit for?" "Huh?" I said since I had nothing else to say, just trying to stall time to get my words together."Why are you stripping, Monty?"Sighing, I decided that I wasn't going to lie like I'd originally planned to do after listening to Chocolate's stupid advice. "Money." I spoke simply and he scoffed as I looked down."Why not just ask Josiah for money instead doing hoe shit?" "First of all, It's not doing hoe shit. I don't have sex with anyone. I just dance. And I don't want to ask him for any money. It's not his job to take care of me.""So stripping..." He trailed off with a laugh."..stripping was the last resort? Instead of putting your pride aside?" Saying nothing, I just looked at him with pleading eyes."Please don't tell him, Messiah." I could already tell by the look on his face that he was going to tell him."I ain't gon' tell him.." Thank God. I thought. "..you are." "What?!" I shrieked. "No. I'm not.""You are." He spoke in a demanding tone."Please. You know how he is." I expressed"And you know how he is too but you made that bed." "Messiah, he's going to kill me." I begged."I know." He shook his head, walking away from me."Better figure it out. You got until the end of the day to tell him or I will." He mumbled before walking back into the room.
