《Gods among gods》Chapter 1 - The bridge and the wind

Mikah watched the water in the distance below, past his untied red shoes which did not match his dark suit at all. His shoelaces dangled by his feet more than 200 feet from the ledge of the bridge where he was sitting. He liked those shoes, perhaps more because of who had given them to him than because of the shoes themselves. He liked them so much, that he had decided to wear them on his last day in this world.
From the ledge everything looked beautiful, but he didn't see beauty, he only saw sadness and death. The blue sky, which seemed gray to him, offered a gentle breeze that accompanied him in his last moments before launching himself into the void.
-Go now- he said to himself and got ready to leave his seat to finally jump.
A whistle stopped him.
-fiuuuuuuh… puuuj… hahaha-
"What is that?"- He thought. Someone had made those sounds, but he was sure he was alone. He didn't see anyone even though he turned his head looking for that voice.
The laughter continued, but he didn't see anyone until all of a sudden, to his left, someone seemed to have appeared out of nowhere.
-I wouldn't jump if I were you- said a young man with matted black hair who was sitting a few steps from him while looking down to the water-
"Don't stop me," Mikah yelled.
-I'm not here for that my friend... but... it looks like it's going to hurt... a lot...
-"Living hurts!"- Mikah answered.
-"Words…"- the young man with long hair rolled up his eyes -Nothing will change, you know. Just because you're not here, the problems you have won't go away, it's just that you won't be around to fix the mess that you've made and everything will get worse for those you leave behind.

-I have no one...-
-Deom- said the strange young man looking at Mikah with deep eyes as dark as night. -My name is Deom and you have me, friend… stay here. Down there is not a good place.
-... thanks- Mikah said... thanks, but...-
-But nothing- Deom appeared behind mikah in a blink and placed his hand on the boy's shoulder.
Mikah thought he was going to force him to safety and wanted to grapple with him, but Deom appeared as he had, in the blink of an eye a few steps away from him, safely back on the bridge.
-Come, friend- said the stranger with a sad smile.
Mikah looked at him and pondered. That young man seemed strangely familiar to him and transmited peace with his smile.
-"I guess it's not my time yet"- he said to himself and got up from the ledge and turned around ready to continue living.
When he was about to jump, someone had saved him and… fiuuuuuuuuh- a gale force wind suddenly came and pushed Mikah over the edge.
-"Noooo!"- He managed to say as he fell off the bridge into the void, into the water and into death.
-"...I guess so it is"- Deom said shrugging his shoulders as he watched Mikah fall.

Crafting the Future (Magic & Tech Crafting)
He built and crafted with all his heart. Whether totemic nature magic, mechanical and alchemical factories, nanomachines, teleporters, alchemy, enchanting, mining, and farming, there were no ends. From the lowly stone age he moved reached levels of technology thought only imaginary and magic which made worlds quake. Things aren’t perfect though. Monsters and beasts fill the world, growing stronger by the day, a malignant force is ever present… And strange, bountiful ruins of all sorts remain scattered throughout the world, abandoned yet maintained by faithful servants. But what mattered most to Joey was the little black cube which not only redefined his worldview, but allowed him to transform the world into something utterly marvellous. The patreon linked to this account is not for this story. This story heavily focuses on crafting progression of both magic and tech, where in something is crafted to unlock a new resource or way to craft something better. Heavily influenced on games with such structure. As there is no backlog, chapter releases will be as written, which hopefully will be once a day but depends on progress made per day.
