《The Noble Curse of Ookami [Previously Titled: CLOSER]》New Flame

A few days after confronting Rin, I was still thinking about her true feelings about me. She was right, this whole thing was my undoing. "By simply existing" she said. It is true, if I wasn't born in this world, everything might be better.
I thought of this every now and then for a few days. Wandering about my future and the future of this small community of survivors. I spent my nights overthinking. Sometimes I could even hear voices, mumbling in my head.
One night, Ishigaki visited my room. He told me that for a couple weeks, he had the same dream over and over again. He was so bothered by it, the moment he told me about it. "I was in a jungle of some sort. Then I saw a man, older than me, wearing hooded armor. He sat beside me and began talking. I perceived it as him explaining something... maybe some strategies, but it was strange..."
A hooded armor? I saw that kind of person months ago, also in my dream. My question at that point was: does he have a connection with Ishigaki somehow?
"What's so strange about it?" I asked for more details from him.
"I was looking at him from the perspective of another person, not myself. I figured that I was in the eyes of a girl. Then I laughed hysterically at him, I don't know why,"
Hmm... I helped Ishigaki thinking what the dream meant, then I told him about the man that he had described five minutes earlier. "I also had a dream about the same man. He approached me in a white place... as far as my eyes can see, it was only white. He approached me, then showed me his ring, the same as mine here," I showed my ring to him.

After theorizing back and forth trying to figure out who the mysterious man was, we ended up just sighing. Our heads hurt, so we figured to just chill and eat some instant noodles together. It hits differently. At that moment, I didn't feel like I was in another place. I felt like home, and we were just friends hanging out for the night.
We laughed, and told our stories for that night. It was wonderful, I still remember this brief happiness... I wonder if Ishigaki still---
You know what, never mind. Let's continue the story.
"Ah, I'm full... thanks for the food, Kyuuto," Ishigaki stretched his body upwards, then patted his full belly. "I think it's enough for tonight, once again thanks for the food Kyuuto," Ishigaki gave a thumbs up. Not long after that, he went back to his room.
As I clean the plates, I suddenly remember my previous life. The life of normality, when I was just a kid, playing video games all the time, while in the evening training with Koori. I suddenly remembered my old friends when I was just an elementary student. I wonder where they went...
A few weeks went by, and we were prepared for the next mission. Yuukai explained to us that morning that we were going to raid Sector 24. A sector larger than Sector 35, which was the location of the previous mission. This area was particularly dangerous, because as Raizen further told us, this area was filled with hunters. The stronger form of the possessed, they are more agile than the normal ones.
As we were preparing ourselves to hop on the choppers once again, someone approached me from behind. When I turned my head around, it was Ishigaki.
"Yo, how are you guys doing?" he greeted us with his brilliant smile.
"Well, just preparing for hell again," Kotetsu briefly answered, wiping the blade of his zodiac sword. "How are you Ishigaki? Why are you here?"
Ishigaki smirked, then answered with a smug face, "Well, I am your new Ora now,"

Decompose!
Dear diary. When you read stories about some people missing and returning after years of absence claiming they were living in another world, your first reaction is to scoff and dismiss a story as a tall tale, right? I know I did. All the time. Until it happened to me and I no longer did. That day was today. Some god of thunder smote me. If it were Chris Hemsworth, I wouldn't mind but it was some barbaric Hitite god that abaondned Earth some four millennia ago. Yes, what can I say? I love the seventh art. I have more hours watching movies than any other activity, including sleep. What? Do you think I'm exaggerating? Maybe I am. I'll really miss hollywood the most. And my biggest regret is that I never got to visit the holy city of cinema. I did not come to another world to be a hero even though there was hints that they hoped I'd save it. I did not come with overpowered abilities able to, dunno, leap tall castles in a single bound, faster than a speeding crossbow bolt, be more powerful than a eight-horse carriage, the bounds. No. After the asshole god that murdered me brought me to his world, he gave me some boons from his discount bin and "The Power of my Soul (tm)". Forgive my french, I hope you understand I am rather upset at dying. And he somehow decided that my power is to recycle stuff. How awesome is that? Not much at first, I must admit. At least I got all my camping stuff and equipment with me. There's no lycra in the other world. I'll make it someday, but that day is not today. So here I am. In another world, in the middle of nowhere. I'm no heroine. As the song goes, I'm your basic average girl. And I'm assumed to be here to save the world. But almost everything can stop me, because I'm not named Kim. Wish me luck, diary. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This novel is going have the following features: slow-paced slice-of-life No GameLit / LitRPG elements. Movie references. Sandra likes the seventh art. Journal / diary style crafting (includes chemistry, engineering and metallurgy) low magic technological advancement (for Sandra, at least. She is not against sharing though) personal relations clash of perception between the modern and ancient customs. bits of tension, fighting, and plot here and there. I won't repeat myself though. Once she crafts a good batch of soap, for example, she'll just note, "I crafted soap again." Once it is estabilished how she obtains compound X, compound X2 that is obtainable from the same process will also just be mentioned. I'll try to be as realistic as I can with the crafting, chemistry, and technology. Cover: Public Domain Image by StockSnap from Pixabay. No attribution required but we do it anyway.

Game Changer - Day Dreams
The greatest foe that man shall face lies within himself: his own mind. It can contort the world around him and make friends seem like enemies. One such soul in the depths of his own despair met an untimely end, but with his dying breath he made a plea, a plea to live. And so it was a being, neither human nor god or anything inbetween chose to save a life out of pity. But it did not understand the consequences of its actions, the changes a single life could bring. Like a pebble dropped into an ocean, first a ripple, then a wave, and soon all the lands of the world would be drowned before its might... So begins a new life, in a new world. While those who once knew him call it a game he calls it home. Now the question will arise, how far will he go to defend it.
