《The Noble Curse of Ookami [Previously Titled: CLOSER]》The Demon part 3

"This ends now!" Kyuuto launched himself towards Kotetsu with his sword facing towards him. He slashed from left and right, from all angles at blinding speed. Some of his attacks managed to tear his skin, but Kotetsu still managed to dodge the rest with ease.
After failing on hurting Kotetsu in a meaningful way, Kyuuto took a long jump backwards, anchored with his blade, propelled himself vertically, then launched while spinning like a jet turbine.
This attack was so fast and powerful, even Kotetsu couldn't handle it without getting blasted back and hitting a small building, destroying it. His wings were even damaged heavily from the falling concrete. Kyuuto's dark aura was felt by the other warriors in the vicinity, they felt great power as well as sadness and anger.
From the team, Ishigaki quit fighting with annoying little hunters, and began concentrating his auric powers. He prayed, "Please lend me your power again," he crossed his hands. Then a surge of power fell from heaven to his palms, a slight flame began to rise from his auric, his pupils and iris began to turn white.
As Kyuuto approached Kotetsu to kill him, Ishigaki stepped in calling his name. He then jumped and prepared to punch him with his flaming auric, "Wake up, Kyuuto!!" he yelled.
But his attack to make Kyuuto come back failed, Kyuuto was able to block his attack with his blade effortlessly. A duel between members of two different divisions began. "Kyuuto listen to me! Open your eyes!!" Ishigaki kept on yelling.
Kyuuto landed a more powerful blow to Ishigaki, trying to stab him right on the chest, but the Ora defended himself with his own flaming aura. He then took a step back, concentrated his power on one hand, then punched with all his might.

Even though Kyuuto blocked the attack with his blade and his anchoring feet, he was blown away and fell on his back. The opportunity then came for Ishigaki, after taking a stance to jump, he launched himself vertically, then dived in with his fiery fist.
A mild explosion then occurred, Kyuuto and Ishigaki were obscured by the smoke and dirt. A sudden burst then came from them, Ishigaki was thrown away by Kyuuto's blast of energy. Kyuuto stood up unharmed, while Ishigaki landed head first not far from him.
From the other side, Kotetsu also stood up, brushing off debris from his shoulders. His wings were twitching from the impact. "Why... why is it always like this? ... Why is it always you? One of the strongest...?" he then began to ramble again, expressing his anguish.
While walking towards Kyuuto, he continued, "If I weren't so weak then I'd be able to save my brother from his death..." he lamented.
Something struck Kyuuto at that instance, a lost memory suddenly surfaced. He saw two boys getting bullied by many others, one of which was on a wheelchair and shoved off, fell onto the ground of a tight alley. He then rushes in, fighting the bullies and defending the boys.
"No! Stop it!" the older boy yelled as Kyuuto kicked one of the bullies repeatedly. He then grew more savage and started to slash his face, "Enough!! Please!" the older boy shoves Kyuuto off of the bully. Most of the bullies then ran.
Realizing what he had done, Kyuuto looked at his bloody hands, his heart filled with regret.
"WHY IS IT ALWAYS YOU WHO SAVED MY LIFE?!?!" Kotetsu then slingshotted himself towards the Ookami with his claws and talons ready to take his heart out.
Kyuuto stood still, waiting for Kotetsu to be close enough. Then a huge ice pillar sprouted from the ground, hitting Kotetsu right in the face and even further blown away without his wings to stabilize his drop. He landed on rough terrain filled with broken cars.

"Your brother's death wasn't your fault..." Kyuuto looked at his bloody hands the same way as he saw himself in his memory, "it was my fault..." he then looked forward, with teary eyes.
"You're right. Everyone always right about me, Kotetsu... everything is my undoing, if I wasn't born, the world wouldn't crumble like this..." Kyuuto began to cry his heart out. He grasped his sword tightly, and prepare to execute his enemy. His zodiac blade shone light blue filled with ice element, "Ishiki's death... was MY fault," hearing his brother's name called, Kotetsu was frozen in place, unable to do anything with his eyes wide open.
"And that's why... I'm gonna take you back, to the right path, Kotetsu... the world is crumbling down because of this damn curse, but I don't want anybody to give in... fight my curse, whether you like it or not. Even killing me won't get you anywhere," Kyuuto launched himself into the air, while focusing his power on his sword, diving down with insane speed.
"Because all of this... was my fault!!"

Much like his father before him, the new master of House Doom is a prodigy of war, yet the venerable minions of his household still hold strange loyalties toward his missing ancestor, silently comparing the legendary rage of his father to the more pragmatic approach of the son. Adding to Basil’s frustrations is the lack of accomplishment he feels for his work, with the dungeon keeper often taking on handicaps just to give his enemies a fighting chance. With all the power and wealth one could ever dream of already within his grasp, Basil now finds that the achievements of others kindle more joy in his heart than his own crushing victories. Thus Basil has taken up mentoring the next generation of dungeon keepers to try and diagnose the cause for his own lack of passion. With his apprentice, Elnora, managing most of the daily work around the dungeon, Basil can finally turn his attention towards his personal concerns, such as tackling the shadow of his legendary father that still looms large over him.

The Fall of The Gods
Synopsis: In the year 1966, an army of Orishas led by Sango stormed Amadioha’s palace and razed it the ground, starting a decades-long war between two of Nigeria’s most powerful divine orders. Blinded by the rage of battle, the gods did not detect the rise of a third power, far greater and deadlier than anything they could have imagined. When gods, on both the Yoruba and Igbo sides, begin falling mysteriously to their death, Sango seeks the help of Odion, a Lagos teenager destined to rise from his dark past to become a hero. But can a human hero save the gods from a doomed fate? The Fall of the Gods is an action-packed YA fantasy based on the mythical bond that ties human life with the realm of the divine. It demonstrates the power of stories to change our lives. It also reminds us that Sango and Amadioha are not relics of the past and that, sometimes, what it means to be a hero in today’s world is knowing how to find inspiration in the stories of the gods. PLEASE NOTE: Weekly chapters will be released every friday along with interludes once in a while about Nigerian mythology. I'm a young 17 year old writer and I am new to the site so I will appreciate your comments and reviews. Thank you very much.
