《The Noble Curse of Ookami [Previously Titled: CLOSER]》A Stranger ... or not?

"This ends now, surrender yourself, Kentarou," Yato pointed his blade to him. He brought some of the warriors who had been Akazaru's victims. The people behind him also wanted Kentarou dead to put an end to the killings for the last few weeks.
Kyuuto stepped forward, also unsheathing his sword to protect his teammate, warning them, "Yato... it doesn't have to be this way, you saw it for yourself right?! He's not himself when you confront him!" Kyuuto's blade was glowing from the surge of energy he emitted.
Yato paused for a second, but convinced either way, "So you're telling me that you defend him? Look, I still want to be in your team, Kyuuto, but NOT with him!" Yato also emitted sparks of lightning along his arms. Meanwhile Kentarou can be seen feeling uncomfortable behind his defender, he was slightly twitching while holding his head.
Kanata also stepped forward powering her auric, followed by Ishigaki, "He bears an ancient soul. We're trying to figure out how it all happened," he explained, "It's just a matter of time until---"
----A knife suddenly burst through the left side of Kyuuto's stomach, he bled considerably and lost his consciousness fast. As he looked behind, he saw the grinning Kentarou, much like what Yato saw the day before. "K-Kentarou...?---"
"That's one for my family," he uttered softly while pulling the bloody knife back. Everyone was frozen at the sight of the curse-bearer getting stabbed while no one noticed. After he glanced toward Yato and the people he brought, Kentarou then jumped through the window, breaking it.
"Kyuuto!!" the room then succumbed into chaos instantly after Kentarou left. Kanata and Rin quickly tried their best to heal Kyuuto, meanwhile Ishigaki and Yato chased him outside with some of the warriors.

"I told you!!" Yato yelled as they chased their teammate, "ancient soul or not, we have to stop this insanity," they hopped through buildings around the school, then into the residents area. Yato also told the story of him being the victim of Akazaru's attack while they were hot on his tail, "I hope you understand, Ishigaki," he said as they turned.
"Why did you do that?!"
"That chance won't come easily for another time," Kentarou replied to the voice inside his head. The real Kentarou was struggling to control his own body, "besides, I saved us both. If the time come, I'll make sure Kurouzu's dead,"
"Why do you hate him so much?"
"That's a good question,"
The ancient soul controlling his body then explained the massacre of his people over 900 years ago. The Akazaru clan was a fairly prosperous tribe as they are known for their craftsmanship and smithing among many other perks. They were located between Ookami and Akatoru, at the foot of a mountain. But after Yamisuke took the reign of the Ookami kingdom, their freedom was limited.
Yamisuke forced the clan to contribute in making weapons and armors to further expand the reach of the Ookami kingdom, with their freedom at stake. He promised that he won't invade their homeland as long as they are obedient.
Years have passed, and Akazaru became essentially Ookami's strongest ally, even though driven by fear. But this soon about to change, as Kurouzu came along to revolt against his brother. With his mysterious power at the time, he managed to overthrow Yamisuke's reign with the help of Aotori.
The Akazaru then declared their neutrality as well as independence shortly after Yamisuke was defeated. The new Ookami kingdom recognized its independence, as well as other kingdoms after the release of Yamisuke's grasp.

"But then one day, that also changed... Kurouzu suddenly stormed our home, and destroyed everything," the new king of Ookami wasn't what he promised himself to be, "... he changed after he tried to defeat Yamisuke with even stronger darkness, Volkus consumed his soul as an exchange,"
Kurouzu's soul was slowly eaten away as the years progressed. He was even more unstable than Yamisuke ever was. The forces he summoned from across space and time finally bite him in the end. He unknowingly destroyed countless lives, even nearly killing one of his comrades.
But the Aotori kept their mouths shut, afraid of another revolt by the people they sought to save in the first place. After much debate and consideration, they finally devised a plan to hide all of Kurouzu's bloody footprints.
"... they reset history, Aotori deleted Kurouzu's influence almost a thousand years later, today. But I still remember what he had done... and I'll wipe out any remaining Ookami to avenge my people,"

MeiQ: Lore of the Labyrinth
Omaros City lays near one of several Yggdrasil trees that are scattered around the world. Each tree holds an entire labyrinthine ecosystem within or beneath it, yet the mysteries of their origins and what lays in their depths are only ever unraveled by the most skilled and courageous of explorers. Exploration of Omaros' Yggdrasil labyrinth is still in its fledgling stages, drawing in many with the allure of fame and glory that has yet to be claimed. Enter the harbinger Dubhan—cheerful, determined, and not terribly skilled at thinking ahead—and warlock Allouet— intelligent and resourceful, but desperately in over his head. Together, the two of them have half an idea of what they're doing at best, but that's not going to stop them from aiming for the labyrinth's unknown depths. MeiQ is, at its core, a fanfiction inspired by the Etrian Odyssey franchise, alternatively known as Sekaiju no Meikyuu in Japan. Despite that, it is written with the intent to be enjoyable by those unfamiliar with the series as well. The characters and the city of Omaros are original, while the story draws upon lore and recurring concepts from the game series. However, Etrian Odyssey is known for its lore being sparse and open to speculation, so much of the details provided in this story are exactly that—a fan’s speculation and personal expansion of the lore. This story was also inspired by and written as part of HereBeTreasure's Fast Food Frontpage Competition, enjoy some simple dungeon exploration plot and whatever else pops up from this.
