《Spike Hellsing Autobiography: The Chosen》Chapter Four - Roots of a God

Fate told us that we had found some forms of her true power, what we had been calling magi-tech and when she created this universe she called Infinity she had to split all of her powers into many types of magi-tech. And that she needed us to collect each type, to restore her full power. So I worked with Murgil to create a method of detecting magi-tech from vast distances away.
We found that one of the moons orbiting the planet Fate had given us was made of information magi-tech and that Fate had stored knowledge within. I unlocked the data with my magi-tech tablet and we discovered that this universe was 13.7 Trillion years old. Although after that much time a universe should be dead there was also Creation Magi-Tech in the core of the universe, creating a white hole that constantly supplied the universe with fresh matter. A perfect steady state universe, hence the name; Infinity. We could not get to the universal core because the gravity was too powerful, we would need more types of magi-tech. I used my nanobots to upgrade themselves with this new [information magi-tech], granting each of them limitless capacity for information.
Also in the solar system Fate had made for us, we found another planet with lush forests and oceans but we also detected magitech there. So we decided to explore the planet. We found a lizard humanoid who called himself Zeph, a space pirate. He told us that his home world was being destroyed by fire falling from the sky and that he was enveloped in a flash of light and found himself in this world. So I explained to him that it was most likely Fate that had saved his life. So he joined us and helped us find the crystals. Zeph brought us to a cave with large deposits of amplification magi-tech. So we built a stargate on this world and I used my nanobots to integrate the new amplification magi-tech to enhance my other magi-tech, increasing the power of each type of magi-tech many times over.
With the new magi-tech and dragon materials equipped to the airship we decided to test our ship's teleportation ability and took a trip back to Calderia. The ship's computers detected that the people on the planet were using the magi-tech crystals to fuel machines.
Just then a man appeared on the deck of the ship calling himself Karma. He said that he saw what we had done in this world in the past but had not seen us in 50 years (we never knew that all the tech we got from the space station contained [time magi-tech] crystals and combined with the [focus magi-tech] in our systems it ended up sending us 50 years into the future of this world) Karma said he loved the chaos and destruction we caused and that he was a demi-god.
My computers informed me that there was an forigen object in the fusion chamber (that we had build out of Chaos's Stomach) so I went to check it out and found a crystal skull. Just then I heard a strange voice in my head, the voice explained to me that this was his skull, and he had once been a powerful warlock. His name was Zulton and his universe had been eaten by Chaos but he had imbued his skull with so much magic from his native universe that it could not be destroyed, and he anchored his soul to it.
We landed in the same lake as before but this time the ships scanners detected that ships from the east and west where on intercept courses just than Karma appeared with a Dragon-humanoid named Iruni, turned out the wizard from the tower had trapped him in a human form and was channelling the leylines of the planet though him within the tower, after we had killed the wizard the magical maze around the tower was disabled and local monks explored the area and found this dragon-man tied up in the tower, bound in human form by tattoos, and without eyes.

As the ships drew closer we decided to head toward one to avoid making contact with both ships at the same time. Once they drew close enough they started to fire powerful magi-tech cannons but the method they used to harness the power of the magi-tech actually destroyed the crystals. Our shields protected us from the attack. The enemy ships got closer so we started to shoot at them through our shields. Once we were close enough I leaped to the other ship. There were eight warriors, six grunts and two elites. I began to fight, they proved to be powerful foes but I held my own until the others joined me. Throwing some of them into the ocean, their heavy armour caused them to sink like stones. We knocked a few of them out, injured some and Zulton took over the body of one unconscious warrior and helped us fight off the rest. Karma reappeared after the fight and told us how the king had turned evil and ravaged the land and that if we returned to our time we could fix it. But before we left we decided to investigate one of the towns, once we got to the harbour we found some of the warships they had created so I tossed some nanobots on it to study the method they used to harness the power of magi-tech. A few guards saw us so I had to think quick, so I used our ship's tractor beam to lock on to the war ship and got the hell out of there taking it with us. I believe we let Zeph have that ship.
Once finished in Calderia I decided to investigate the time magi-tech issue. I decided to study the information my tablet computer downloaded from the space station 1,000 years in the future. I found out that they never knew of the other types of magi-tech and in the present day were working on the space station. I gathered the other chosen ones with a call from my wrist computer and we decided to visit their home world. Once there we found an uninhabited continent with lots of magi-tech so we built another gate to the kingdom and set up a mining operation. I then of course added the new magi-tech to my nanobots, granting them the ability to manipulate the flow of time. I could now slow time in battle or even undo mistakes over short periods of time.
In my spare time I began to create a bio-tech spaceship. A living creature with nanobots for blood and computers for brains. I created it to absorb energy collecting light, heat, and radiation and to inhale gases and process them, and to eat solid matter.
We also found to our surprise that Misteria, a world we had a gate in for ages also was rich with perception magi-tech. The magical reality crystals, and even my very own lucid dream crystal! So we began trading with them to collect more and I added them to my nanobots. It's hard to say what exactly they did. Better integration with consciousness & living beings, manipulate the appearance of anything, and the ability to unlock a much more broad and vivid mind's eye. Also it improved Halina's avatar and ability to project false images.
At this point I started to notice a pattern, every world fate sent us leading up to the battle with Chaos had magi-tech. So on a hunch we decided to visit Jack's home world Earth. From orbit we scanned the planet and found there was magi-tech deep within the earth but also several stockpiles of gold bars and other precious metals. We started to collect all the metals and began to harvest the crystals, this time it was source magi-tech, with these my nanobots could draw on the magi-tech for far more energy.

Using the new crystals we enhanced our ships scanning ability, loaded up some star gates and started to search for any more forms of magi-tech. After a few days of spaceflight we detected magi-tech floating out in space. Once we got within visual range we saw a giant asteroid rich with crystals. I manoeuvred up to a flat spot on the massive rock and landed the ship on it, very low gravity. Then I extended the shields containing our atmosphere so we could walk around on the surface but only close to the ship. Once outside we found the whole asteroid was made of space magi-tech so we set up a gate with its own shield generator and atmosphere and I added the space magi-tech to my collection. It granted my nanobots with the ability to create small pocket dimensions to store matter, and teleportation.
Next we found a world with magi-tech and strong gravitational anomalies. A few of the guys started to explore the surface, I stayed aboard the ship and allowed my bio-ship to devour some trees and other biomass.
To my own horror, I later discovered that Emalft was training with a tribe of druids he had met and they were teaching him how they eventually shapeshift into tree’s toward the end of their lifecycle.
The rest of The Chosen walked through a forest and called for me to meet them afterwards. They had happened upon a city so we entered and found that the people of this world were over-mining and abusing the magi-tech. We purchased some magi-tech and I deemed it to be gravity crystal, with it my nanobots dampen gravity's effects but also create artificial gravity. I had some trouble with a shopkeeper who never accepted the humperdink as money and worse, laughed at my quest as a chosen one… So I cut him into ribbons with my katana and quickly undid my actions using time magi-tech, this shit was getting out of hand..
We eventually decided that we needed to set up a gate here so we could get larger quantities of the magi-tech. We were looking for a good place to build the gate when we found a cave rich with crystals. Once we entered we were attacked by living rocks, our weapons hardly scratching away at their glowing stone bodies. So we began to use energy weapons and magic but as the golems broke more stones from the walls attached to them, repairing the damage. We found that the small pieces we broke off would rejoin unless they had stopped glowing and with each attack the larger pieces became more dim. After several minutes of combat we were victorious so we built our gate and returned to the ship.
With gravity magi-tech we figured our ship could handle the immense forces at the centre of the universe where the creation magi-tech white hole was located. On the way toward the universal core we detected a few types of magi-tech.
The first took the form of a black hole, destruction magi-tech, using my nanobots and their new gravity magi-tech empowered with amplification and source crystals I could create a gravity well to extract some and add it to my nanobots, granting them the ability to destroy matter. A power I never found to be useful considering I could convert matter into nanobots and store them in pocket dimensions.
The second was a little more interesting, it was within a ship orbiting the white hole. Scanners showed several decks of the ship were without atmosphere and the ship seemed abandoned, it was large enough for us to land our ship inside so we landed in the hangar and found bodies of the crew. Further in the ship we found a ghost and some aliens but nothing too serious. Within a storage room we found strange liquid suits that would cover your skin but change shape according to your will. So naturally we all took one. Eventually we found our way to the engine room, inside was a large space creature draining the ship's power and deep within the beast... Magi-tech. We attacked the hideous blob creature but it used massive amounts of electricity against us and as the battle progressed it began to attack us with massive tentacles, a few of the guys were injured but we defeated the beast and inside the creature was storage magi-tech. The new magi-tech granted my nanobots with the ability to store unlimited amounts of energy, combined with [source magi-tech] & empowered with [amplification magi-tech] I had more stored energy than I could ever dream of.
It was at this time that our kingdom had enough improved magi-tech generators to finally support its own weight. The sudden shift of mass caused the thin sand weathered base of the mountain to crack off and the entire kingdom began to slowly drift around the planet. I worked for awhile adding a way to steer the kingdom to the main gate control room. Then added shields around the city for defence and to hold an atmosphere. So we decided to take the city to the white hole in the centre of the universe but left a gate to the desert planet as a junkyard.
By now the city had a power plant, nano-factory, cryogenics lab, exotic animal breeding facility, dojo, weapon training school, university, library, loading docks, monster dens, hydroponic jungle, housing, magic item shop, restaurant, and a virtual reality arcade/cantina and on the one year anniversary of the founding of our kingdom Cletus Humperdink unveiled his casino.
We studied the white hole at a safe distance until I was ready for the extraction. It took the combination of every other type of magi-tech and once I removed a large portion of the core, it restored itself. Finally with creation magi-tech I could use all the energy from the other types of magi-tech to create matter, conjure objects at will, even forge planets from nothing. Also during the collection of the magi-tech Murgil was unlocking its power but rather than using technology he was tapping into it with magic.
When my nanobots began to integrate the new magi-tech all the types had been collected and they merged to create prismatic magi-tech, a crystal with the powers of all magi-tech. Just then fate appeared telling us we had restored her true power and she is now a god. She told us her name was now Destiny and that she could now connect this universe to the multiverse granting us the option to explore an infinite number of other universes or even create our own as she did.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
