《Rise To The Absolute Zenith》Sara's Fate

What the pair of mother and daughter failed to sense throughout the few days though, was the awakening of a dormant bloodline. Because of constantly being on death's door, a dormant bloodline of an incredible race was finally being awakened in Blade's body.
Blade knew this because ever since the first day of torture, a screen was showcasing his awakening process.
Hovering over Blade's eyes, were a few words written...
[High Human Bloodline:]
[State-]
[Dormant]
[Awakening Process- (99%)]
Over the week, Blade underwent unimaginable pain and suffering. Under such rough treatment, Blade was infinitely close to dying multiple times. This brought fought many changes inside Blade. The most drastic change though would have to be a type of ruthlessness and craziness that he hasn't ever had nor thought he would.
Weakly turning his head, he was able to see the confused expression of the little girl who he now knew as Sara. She stood dumbly next to him, and this couldn't help but cause a smile to form on his face. Sara's eyes never left Blade, and when she saw his lips moving, she turned even more confused.
'Is he trying to speak?' Sara thought. His struggles seemingly worked like a calming effect, as a cute and stunning smile formed on her face. A smile that shocked Blade. But, he watched as she lowered her head as if to hear what Blade was trying to say.
With his esophagus damaged, Blade's words were barely audible, but Sara was able to still hear them.
"You know...I thought that...you were once...a cute...little girl. But, you have...proved me wrong." Blade said. The most shocking thing about his statement though wasn't its contents, but it was actually how he said it.
Sara noticed that his voice which previously sounded like he had eaten shit, now sounded a lot more vigorous. As if his throat was healing as he spoke.
*Tear*
Soon after, a tearing noise was heard, causing Sara to immediately dart her gaze at the ropes. Instantly, her legs weakened, and she staggered back, as she realized that Blade was somehow pulling at the ropes. The worst part was, that he seemed to have enough strength to cause the ropes to tear.
"Wait...why am I scared. I am at the first level of body forging, while he is just a mere mortal." She mumbled. Her previous cowardice no longer was present, as she regained her arrogance. Seeing this though, was a Blade who couldn't help but smile even more.

If one looked closely, they'll be able to see the rats who were still previously biting down on his flesh, were somehow now crawling away from his body in what seemed to be visible fear. With a body that felt as if it had been reborn, Blade's eyes were focused on the screen in front of his eyes, while he easily ripped out of the bindings.
[Host: Blade]
[System: Level 1]
[Experience points: 0/100]

[Race: High Human (? Sealed)]
[Lifespan: 16/150]

[Soul Cultivation: Null]
[Note: The host has awakened the Bloodline of a High Human. Most of this race's benefits will appear in the host's future journey, as of now, the only benefits are an increased lifespan, increased healing factor, and also an increase in strength.]
As his wounds slowly closed, Blade's bindings began to tear or loosen. Before long, he got out of the bed and stood on his two legs. Though he wasn't in his best condition, his whole body was feeling refreshed as he had a dazzling smile on his face.
Bam!
Suddenly, a punch came straight in his direction and landed on his gut. But, unexpectedly, Sara's punch seemed to be useless in front of Blade, as he remained unmoving.
The smile on his face grew more as it took on a sadistic form. He who has felt pain for a week straight, felt that it was time to let someone else feel pain. While gazing at all of the equipment that they used to torture him in the room, the sadistic smile on his face kept growing wide as it reached his ears, as he spoke while landing his gaze on Sara.
"If it was up to me, I would have chosen to torture you for the rest of your pathetic life. But, your father will be coming soon along with your mom, and I know that I am not a match so, something quick but mentally destroying is necessary." Blade said. Sara instantly felt something in her telling her to immediately escape.
Sadly, Blade held her hand in place, and his grip was seemingly way too strong for her to ever be able to escape from him...

"So what is the reason why you interrupted my meeting with the city lord?" Latin asked his wife who hadn't given him any time to ask what was the reason for rushing him out of the city lord's residence and bringing him back to his own house. He was slightly angry, but while he entered the house, a feeling of dread suddenly washed over him.

"This is why. It's been ten minutes since I left, so I am unsure if anything happened. But before leaving I told Sara to watch over that thing." Layla, the wife of Latin, said with slight worry on her face. Immediately thereafter, Latin bolted toward the stairs as he dashed the stairs at inhumane speeds.
Even though he knew that Blade wasn't a Body Cultivator, for some reason, the feeling of dread still did not disappear. Layla was left confused as Latin suddenly disappeared from her view. She knew that he was going to her daughter's room, but his exaggerated reaction bewildered her.
Ahhhhh!!
Suddenly, a loud shout filled with anger resounded throughout the house. Hearing this, Layla's confusion and curiosity reached their peak, as she also approached her daughter's room. Though, unlike Latin, who cared for his daughter, Layla had yet to show any kind of concern for Sara.
She knew that Blade was unable to... no, in fact, she knew that besides the city lord, no one in this city was able to harm her now that Latin was here. So, with this in mind, Layla reached the entrance of the room after calmly walking up the stairs.
But, the scene that her eyes were laid upon, left her with nightmares for the remainder of her life. The sight of Sara's unmoving and lifeless body which missed any and all limbs normally present in a human's body left Layla with mental scars.
"Monster!... He is a monster...Sara is only a little child..." Layla said with shock and even anger visible on her face. Even if she cared little about her child, that child, that little kid was still a lifeform with her blood...who could watch the scene of someone with their blood being on the receiving end of brutality like this.
"Get the city guards here right now! That bastard. He is never leaving this city alive!!" Latin shouted as he kneeled next to his daughter's unmoving body. His voice somehow traveled hundreds of meters outside of his house.
Because no one in this city, besides the city lord, is allowed to have a house larger than 30 meters in size, Latin's neighbors were immediately startled as his voice traveled to even the normal city residents who were walking on the streets.
One of these pedestrians was a figure 190 cm in height. His skin was filled with dried blood, and he was completely naked. Thankfully, he was currently jumping from rooftop to rooftop, and because of this, no one was able to see his naked appearance.
But, while jumping, Blade heard the shout of the middle-aged man named Latin, startling him in the process, causing him to not perceive the 5-meter space between him and the next rooftop. Blade's momentum carried him forward, as he only realized when it was too late, that his feet hadn't had a footing.
Bam!
Blade crashed onto the floor from ten meters in the air. If it wasn't for the fact that he was a High Human, Blade would have most likely broken his arm once more.
Anyway, immediately getting up to his feet, Blade discerned that he seemed to be in an alleyway, and a few meters away from him, he caught the sight of an old man in what seemed to be armor, holding a weeping girl by the neck as he began tearing off her clothes.
It seemed that neither of them realized his sudden appearance, and just as Blade was about to walk off, the image of a weeping Sara appeared in his mind. Immediately he turned around and approached the old man while saying.
"Even though I'm in a rush, that smile on your face has gotten on my nerves." Blade said. Seeing the eerie smile on the old man's face reminded Blade of that cursed family.

The Forgotten One
Hey there everbody. This will be my second upload to Roll 20. Unfortunately I wasn't able to continue my previous one due to life and what not but I'm now back and have a some what new idea I've been kicking around for years. We'll see if i head back to my other fiction due to having things calming down. And like always I'm open to constructive critisims. Any way on to the synopsis. The world as we know it is gone. Torn from everyone due to two major things. First and foremost a biologica lweapon that no one wanted to take credit for after it was released and couldn't be stopped (a zombie virus of sorts) and the way that many nations thought to stop it from spreading was to destory everything they could ofcourse that didn't include them selves. So there the world was in a mexican standoff with hundreds of countries with hundreds of nuclear weapons just dareing one another to make the first move. Once again no one knew who started it but it didn't matter once it started the world was doomed. In an attempt to save people some scientists began working on a way to cryogenically frezze people so they could surive the on coming armegedon. The problem was before they could begin testing it on humnas the nukes began launching. In a bid to save them selves a family gave their youngest son to the scientists as a test subject. He had already been infected by the virus weeks before the nukes were being threatened and still retained his humanitiy. After being betrayed by his family after telling them of his ability to stay him self and a few things the bio weapon had changed in him physically he was sedated with enough drugs to kill a whole pride of elephants and forced to take part in the experiment. The last thing he remembers was watching his world close around him (his cryo pod) and his family's face of sadness but also hope in the fact that them betraying him may give them a chance to live. This is a fan fiction in which many aspects of one of my favorite games will be quiet prevelent. It will be obvious to those who have played it but for those who may not the game i'm going to be baseing some of the things in this novel is called Prototype. And no I do not own the rights to the cover. If the creater would like for me to pull it down please messege me.
