《Rise To The Absolute Zenith》Inner Sect

Blade's eyes gazed toward the other platforms where he saw the shocking sight of two other figures who were already finished with their fights.
One being Athena as the other...
...
"Hello, it's nice to finally talk to you!" With long blue hair reaching to his shoulder, Dolion excitedly greeted Blade.
This Dolion had a big innocent-looking pair of eyes that went well when placed together with his effeminate features and short height. Standing on a stone platform along with Athena, Frederick, and two others, Blade gazed into Dolion's eyes with his cold and aloof expression.
He didn't trust this person. Something inside him was telling him not to trust this person at all, maybe it was his honed animalistic instincts, or something else, but he didn't care what it was since he would listen to its warning.
"It's nice to meet you too." Blade replied with an emotionless tone that made Athena smile. Silence then descended in the group before Frederick's next actions took all the attention away.
Suddenly, light escaped from the ordinary-looking black ring on Frederick's index finger. Right after, Blade's eyes bulged in shock when a few objects in the shape of coins and a green color appeared in the palm of Frederick's hand.
Blade observed intensively when Frederick gave these stones to Athena and the others as they all placed this coin-like object in a hole located on the stone platform. Thereafter Blade was momentarily blinded as he suddenly felt that the world went upside down.
...
URGH!
The splattering noise of Blade throwing up whatever food he had in his body echoed in the surroundings. It was surroundings that were completely new to Blade and anyone who may be watching as the group had shockingly appeared in an unrecognizable location!!
Seeing Blade's situation, Athena couldn't help but giggle along with the two other females while Dolion placed his hand on Blade's shoulder. "It is normal for you to feel this way after your first time using the teleportation circles." He said, "What, did you say teleportation?!" Blade shouted in shock and confusion.
"Yes, teleportation, like appearing in a different location n an instant." Dolion said while Blade replied, "I know what teleportation is, it's just that I'm having trouble believing it even though I've just experienced it!"

"Well, we all went through this our first time so you shouldn't feel embarrassed, and you three!" Dolion said while coldness appeared in his eyes as he gazed toward the three females who were giggling at Blade.
A rising tension appeared. These four contestants are seemingly about to fight but...
"Well, would you look at that? It seems we have some fresh meat.!" Next to the stone platform on which Blade and his group stood, an aged figure sitting on a chair while reading a book uttered words that garnered attention from the group.
"'You old pervert! I see you're still into reading that kind of book!" Frederick replied to the old man's words, causing a blush to appear on the man's face. Even though he tried to change his expression to portray anger and annoyance, he couldn't since he was just caught red-handed.
Tsk!
The girls in the group clicked their tongues while jumping off the stone platform, while Blade and Dolion ignored him completely. These actions caused the old man to raise his eyebrow, he couldn't believe the young ones from the Outer Sect were soo arrogant these days.
"Don't you guys not know that this person is the Warden of the Inner Sect. He is many times stronger than me, and if I can kill you brats in an instance, just imagine how quick he'll kill you!" Words that resonated in the minds of all members of this group shook them to the core. What Frederick said, wasn't wrong.
They all knew that Frederick was many times stronger than them, yet he was merely an Outer Sect Warden. What about the Inner Sect, the Core Sect, the Sect Leader, all these figures were stronger than the last, weren't they merely weak side characters that could die at any of these mentioned figures' whim.
Bowing toward the old man and cupping their fist, "We'll be in your care Senior!" In perfect and utter synchronicity, they all respectfully said to the old man. Hm, such a perfect display of being a two-faced bitch brought wide smiles to the two old men as the Warden of the Inner Sect stated.
"Hahaha, I Lucas, Warden of the Inner Sect have never met many with this level of utter shamelessness. This... It's something you can be proud of since, in a Demonic Sect such as this, such cunningness would be of utmost importance!"

Standing up, he placed his book in between his robe while a bright light enshrouded the area of the stone platform Frederick stood on. He disappeared, presumably to re-enter the Outer Sect, leaving Blade and the others with an old man who made them uncomfortable to untold degrees.
"Hehe, don't look at me like that. I am after all very professional so I'll place aside the fact that three of you are all my type, and do my job as the Warden of the Inner Sect."
He said, while his eyes gazed at the figures of Athena, Blade, and Dolion. These three are attractive at levels higher than the other two females in the group. It was a pair of eyes that made Blade feel disgusted as it reminded him of the unpleasant memories from that one city surrounded by leaves.
"Follow me!"
He said while walking on a stone path that lead to who knew where. Blade and the others couldn't make out what was there other than the stone path since a mist covered everything. With no other choice in the matter, they left everything in the hands of Lucas and followed him deeper into the mist.
...
"Another one!"
Blade muttered. In his vision, the sight of an outrageously tall tower that was rather similar in design to the ancient building that was the Registration Hall for the Outer Sect.
"Don't sound soo bored. This is necessary since you'll need to get your Inner Sect uniform along with a choice of weapon in the Weaponry Hall a floor higher. Plus, I'll need to give you a full tour of this building..." The Warden replied to a shocked Blade who didn't understand how Lucas was able to hear what he had muttered under his breath.
...
"As I said before, each floor of this building is for different uses. The first floor is as you already know, for those who are new to the Inner Sect, or for those who need another set of Inner Sect clothing.
The second floor is named the Weaponry Hall, or also the Metal Forging Hall. And as its name implies, there they make us members of the sect, weapons that could last most of us our whole lifetime. They sure are talented in creating weapons like swords, spears, scythes, and staffs.
On the third floor, one would find the Mission Hall where those who require Life Coins would go to take up a mission.
From what I understand, you Blade is a new member of my Sect, so I'll warn you now when you take a mission, you must swallow a pill that would eventually kill you in about six months' time. Of course, this is only bad for the people who plan to permanently leave our beloved Sect.
Speaking of Poisonous Pills, on the fourth floor is the Alchemy Hall where they make many types of Pills that could help further one's cultivation or simple poisonous pills like what I previously mentioned.
But, not many could afford the prices of these pills, hence the reason why there is a need to go on missions. But, missions aren't the only way to earn Life Coins since one can also participate in the Inner Sect Annihilation Bowl which is always active.
That large obsidian pillar with names on it is the current ranking of the Annihilation Bowl." Lucas stated while pointing toward a massive pillar with numerous names and numbers etched onto it. Lucas said, "Those who enter the top 100 gain 1,000 Life Coins per month, while those in the top 10 gain the previously said amount, on top of some pills that help in cultivation.
But, the Heavenly Demon Sect is generous and magnanimous so those in the top 3 get even more rewards. Their rewards make even someone like me jealous...
Those in third and second get the previous rewards, and also 24 hours on the highest floor of this building. While number one, well he gets 168 hours inside the floor.
The worst part for those trying to get the number one position is that he has been number one on the ranking for the past decade...
Every single month of the past decade, the number one was able to spend a week of time on the highest floor, inside the room of Life...!"

The Oscillation (No Swearing)
It was an average day in Miami—then fractures in the sky appeared. A pulse from those cracks altered the population; some people's biology changed while others received magical and supernatural powers. After the chaos, the political drama ensued, followed by the discovery of portals that brought deadly creatures. They called this event "The Oscillation" and it changed Rachel's life forever. Note: I've received some feedback that people don't like the foul language. This also included my mother, she wanted me to make a cleaner version for her. So, I thought I might as well release it alongside the more explicit version. I went back and rewrote the parts that have profanity in them. ^_^7 Cover Commissioned From Likesac ^_^7

Sanguine
The Coles are probably the definition of a small dysfunctional family, even if they weren’t the worst in existence; they would probably be lauded as an example of the term. The Coles were a small family though. The father, Oliver Cole, was an asshole ex-football jock who bounced around in small paying jobs after wasting most of his life drinking, drugging and whoring. The daughter, Stacy Cole, was smart, but had many issues including anger, trouble with authority, and occasional suicidal thoughts, and was kicked out of many a school for disruptive behaviour. The son, Mike Cole, was innocent, and tried his best to be kind to anyone and everyone, however his own speech impediment, and slow nature only aided people to bully and belittle him, including his own father. The Coles were indeed a dysfunctional family. At least they were, until they got to the small town near the border between the United States and Canada, Sanguine. Welcome to Sanguine. You will stay. With the exception of the first chapter, each chapter only follows one character. The first chapter is the only chapter in which I will include 'Sides' where it follows a different character. This is a short Lovecraftian story, it won't go above seventeen chapters. Note: the book cover is my first attempt, it might not even remain like it is, I was just tired of seeing the standard 'no cover' thing on it.
