《Majo Magica》Chapter 49

Akeru led the two to a part of the city that would usually be empty but was filled with carnival rides and food stalls.
Amani: W-What on earth is this?!
Itsuki: We talked to Aurora about bringing in vendors and such from her annual festival just for you.
Akeru: It cost her a bit...but after today, she won't be around to deal with it possibly!
Amani: You two are wasting your time with this; I'm not a child. Nothing here will-
Itsuki and Akeru drag her into the carnival to a cotton candy stand. They each got a different flavor as Amani tilted her head at the snack.
Amani: What...is this? Is this a cloud?
Akeru: Cotton more like! Cotton candy is delicious! Just take a big bite!
Amani: A bite? But it hardly looks solid-
Itsuki: Just do it and stop analyzing everything...
Amani glared at him and took a small bite of it. She blinked a couple of times before eating more and more. Akeru smirked at Itsuki as they ate.
Amani: That was...acceptable.
Itsuki: Akeru, let's show her the Ferris wheel!
Amani: The what?
Akeru smiled and dragged her onto the Ferris wheel with the two. Amani looks unamused.
Amani: This is pointless; I can fly. Why would I need to be on this?
Akeru: It's a ride, that's why!
Amani: This is stupid...
When the ride ended, they took her to a small rollercoaster. Due to her wings, she had to sit in the back and on her own seat. The other two were seated before her, smiling back at her as the attendant strapped them all in.
Amani: What is the meaning of this?! I don't want to be constrained!
Itsuki: Relax, it's for your safety...
Amani: I'm a Witch; I don't need safety-
The ride started to move forward and up the ramp.
Amani: W-What is happening?!
Akeru: It's good that you are not afraid of heights or anything!
Amani: What do you mean-
The ride reached the top, about 100 feet, and dropped down as Amani screamed in terror. The other two were laughing at her. The ride stopped as she got off immediately. Akeru and Itsuki followed her off and smirked again at each other.
Itsuki: I didn't think someone who was a flying Witch would get scared.
Amani: I- You- Shut up!!!
Akeru: We are just playing with you; it's scary the first time you get on.
Amani pouted at her slightly.
Amani: Don't patronize me...
Itsuki pointed at a ring toss game where Amani tilted her head.

Amani: A game?
Akeru: Yeah, you see that red bottle in the middle? You have to land the ring on it, and you get a prize!
Amani: That is simple...just use magic-
Itsuki: They frown on that...besides, that wouldn't be fun. Or are you saying you can't do it without magic~?
Amani glared at him as he paid for five tries. Finally, she grabbed the ring and threw it, overshooting the bottles and landing on the ground.
Amani: T-This isn't fair! It's rigged!
Itsuki shook his head and went to grab a ring, but Amani slapped his hand. She grabbed another ring and tried again, hitting the back bottle edge but still missed it. Finally, she gritted her teeth and threw the third one hard, knocking over the back bottle entirely as the man behind the counter fixed it back up, smiling at her.
Amani: It's impossible! I don't like this game!
Akeru: Calm down; you are using too much force. Not every game can be won on your first try.
Amani: It can be for someone like myself!
Itsuki: Then prove it!
Amani took a deep annoyed breath as she took the ring and focused. She gently threw it and landed it on the red bottle's edge, landing the ring on four bottle edges.
Amani: That should count! That isn't fair!
Akeru: You almost had it!
Amani: I said to quit patronizing me, girl...
Itsuki: Are you done with it then?
Amani pouted, crossed her arms, and nodded. Itsuki took the ring and instantly got it around the red bottle, scooting over Amani's last attempt.
Amani: I-Impossible!
Man: Great shot! Pick whatever prize from the back shelf!
Amani: Whatever, I hope you enjoy your victory-
Itsuki: So which one do you want, Amani?
Amani looked at him, confused.
Amani: Excuse me...?
Akeru: He asked what plush animal you wanted. I think that big tiger looks super cute!
Amani: But you won...why are you asking me?
Itsuki: Yeah, I won, but you can share victories with people. Besides, I don't need a damn stuffed animal..,
Amani: I don't understand...
Itsuki: You got close enough; hell, you almost got it on your fourth try! I played these a lot, so I'm pretty good, but I never got that close on my fourth try.
Amani looked at the prize wall and pointed at the giant stuffed baby seal. The man smiled and got it for her as she looked at it for a moment. Akeru looked up at the sky and sighed a little.

Akeru: I think it's about time...any last-minute stops?
Itsuki: Oh, let's get a picture taken!
Amani: But you will be gone...why do you want a picture?
Akeru: It's fun to take pictures with people you hang out with; now come on! You can keep your cute plushie in the picture!
Akeru dragged her and the plush to a man at a camera booth. The three got on the spot to take a picture. Itsuki and Akeru smiled and threw out two peace signs, while Amani just blushed, hiding her lower face into the plush. The man gave them each a picture as Itsuki led them back to the throne room, where everyone waited.
Ci: Oh, you are finally back; we thought the worst happened to you three.
Aurora: Did you have fun?
Akeru: Yeah, thank you, Aurora, for setting it up! I wish we had more time; I wanted Itsuki to get me that tiger plush...
Itsuki: You can get it yourself!
Akeru puffed her cheeks and pouted at him.
Akeru: That's so rude!
Cleo pouted and looked away a bit, mumbling to herself.
Cleo: N-No one tried to win me anything; that's what is rude...
Amani held onto her picture and plushie tight as she looked at everyone. Finally, Aurora noticed the picture and smiled.
Aurora: Oh, you got pictures taken? I wish I had one to hang up.
Itsuki: I would give you mine, but...well, time is up.
Ravenbeard: Been a good sailing with you lot, some good and bad times!
Benjiro: Aurora, sorry I couldn't do more for you-
Aurora just smiled, crying at them all.
Aurora: It's okay; I'm happy I get to die with some of my family and friends.
Amani: No...
Everyone glanced at Amani as she rose her face up, crying a bunch.
Amani: You all can't die! This week... was the most fun I have ever had! Even with my bland sisters!! I don't want to leave; I don't want you to go!!
Amani fell to her knees, hugging her plushie tightly.
Amani: I hate being by myself...it isn't fair. I just wanted to be free, not alone forever!!
Ci and Cleo smiled as they walked to her and hugged her.
Ci: We won't leave you...as long as you won't leave us.
Cleo: We may all bicker and fight one another...but deep down, I love that we can share a moment like this.
Amani: Ci...Cleo...
Aurora ran to them and hugged them tightly, crying more than Amani was.
Aurora: I missed you all so much! I'm so sorry I didn't try to reunite sooner!
Akeru wiped a small tear from her eye.
Akeru: Itsuki, your plan worked.
Itsuki: What do you mean by my plan? You are the one who started the game, Akeru...
Amani looked at them both and smiled at them, still crying.
Amani: Itsuki! Akeru!
They both looked at her and smiled back.
Amani: You better spend more time with me! I want to eat cotton candy again! I want to play games, even if I lose with both of you!
Akeru: Of course!
Itsuki: Anytime you want, I'll whip your ass in any game you choose!
Amani's eyes widened a bit but then closed them, nodding.
Ci: You better spend time with us as well, young lady!
Amani: But you three are so boringggg!!!
Cleo: We can't all be as energetic as you!
Aurora laughed at them alongside the others. Benjiro just smirked and walked to the dining room, looking back at them.
Benjiro: So, should I tell the staff to prepare Plan B?
Aurora: Mhmm!
Amani: Plan...B?
Aurora: Of course, we had the staff make a meal for your welcome home party...you know if we were going to win! That's why we called in Plan B; we planned on dying today after all!
Amani: You...thank you all...
Cleo: Now, let's get going! If we don't, the pirate is going to eat everything!
Cleo dashed into the kitchen as Ravenbeard sighed.
Ravenbeard: Nay, I just ate what no one else did!
Akeru turned to Itsuki and patted his back.
Akeru: Come on, we better go wash up. We got together four Witches; we deserve a good meal too!
Itsuki: Yeah, and we will get them all back here too!
Akeru: Mhmm! We will, partner!
Everyone went to the dining room and feasted on a huge meal prepared for them. Everyone was lively, smiling, and having fun. Next, the staff brought out a massive cake with Amani's name on it. It had green frosting and little candy wings placed everywhere on it. She tried cake for the first time, and they all had to limit her because she tried to eat the entire cake due to how much she loved it. Afterward, the group went to their rooms to prepare for tomorrow, the proper start of Operation Unify.
