《The Egotistical Mana Spirit》The Big Brow Bandits

After the battle Nobrow was praised by his monkey captors for his bravery and willingness to fight on their side instead of running away. While the generalized view of Monkey men lists downsides, there is in fact also many upsides to them. One upside the Monkey men are known for is loyal and admiration. Nobrow was now respected by the group.
Nobrow was set free soon after the battle but because his research wasn't complete yet on the customs of steppe Monkeys, he stuck with his group. This gained Nobrow the Mage (as he was now known) even greater admiration. His growth within the group increased each day, particularly to the many benefits he carried with himself. Not only was Nobrow accepted as the most powerful thug, he also was great tactician in their steppe raids and when he worked with Bigbrow they managed to split the loot among the gang well enough, and so Nobrow's addition was even more welcomed. Eventually Nobrow was elected leader of his gang. Bigbrow became second in command.
Each week the gang grew, doubling its renown and numbers. One day Nobrow suggested a name while in conversation with Bigbrow, in the end they settled for "The Brow Gang". It almost became a tradition within the group to respect and grow out facial hair, specifically the brow. Ironically still, their leader lacked a large brow because he was a Mana and his people aren't known for facial hair.
The Brow Gang went around the southern portions of the Great Steppe where hills were more common than flat plateaus. The southern parts of the Great Steppe had the most loot to offer since it bordered closely with the Warm Coast, a region known for its superb climate and luxurious beaches, and Samar, a fertile land known for its valleys and farms. Wherever Civilization was near there was also trade. Trade means goods. Goods means loot. Loot means happiness! It was a simple life of a bandit Monkey. "Attack and Grab or Run and get Smacked!" was a common saying among the members, but Nobrow thought it was stupid.

Eventually the Brow Gang was number one on the leaderboard (if there was one) and a highly intimidating band of savages who ruined lives for many merchants in the area. In around half a year the Brow Gang numbered around one hundred dastardly Monkey men. While a group of one hundred isn't huge, it was in the case of those in the Great Steppe since it might as well be a tiny army. As far as Nobrow knew, historically the Great Steppe wasn't fond of armies and so attrition from all corners of existence worked against would be armies. Beforehand, the Brow Gang when it numbered fifteen members was able to take on merchant caravans of fifty. With one hundred members the traders stood no chance in defending their supplies. How is it possible for a bunch of stupid hairy freaks to take out a group of fifty? It's all because the Monkeys of the Steppe are so well accustomed to the radical climate and terrain. Most non natives to enter the Great Steppe spend very little time in it before danger arises, so there is a lack of knowledge of the place entirely on their city made maps.
His research was finally complete. Nobrow's face was mushed up together because of the excitement and joy that was building up to the last moment. In all of his research he carries a journal for the notes he plans to write, but Nobrow is not only an arrogant egotist, he is also a stubborn completionist. He must everytime fully complete each page with information from his research. This time he was too careless though.
"Half a year, half a year!" He yelled to himself. It had taken Nobrow half a year to understand that he had commanded a band of marauders who did horrible actions against innocent travellers like himself half a year ago. But it only took a few seconds to completely destroy his emotional build up of joy after his completion and replace it with terror and disgust on his ill moraled behavior.

Shortly after his 'discoveries' Nobrow addressed to his successful gang of steppe Monkey bandits that he was planning on leaving and putting Bigbrow in charge. While packing his belongings he had acquired, Bigbrow walked up to him and told of how he the gray haired Monkey had built up respect heavier than iron for the Mana man. He also told him of why he stared so long at Nobrow, it was because the Monkey indeed hated him for all his worth. Quickly ignoring another emotional shattering moment Nobrow left the camp and said his quick farewells to his bandit crew. Goodbye!
