Chapter 52: Other Place (Part 2)

That was a woman who tried to stab me when I threw the cup to the curtain, she may be the owner of this house, but why did she have to attack me and Shera?

Before I got inside, I have asked permission when we were outside of the house, maybe she didn't hear me when the rain outside was so loud.

"Lady, maybe you just have misunderstood, pl-" - Dammit! That woman charged her sword at me without paying a second to hear my word

"Sir Rigen!" - Just run, Shera! Or that woman would attack you!

"I just want to talk!"

"Id!"(Die!) - What was a language? That woman just has spoken a language that I didn't know?

"Don't hurt Sir Rigen!" - Shera! Why did you stand there? Run fucking run!

"Run Shera! Run!"

That woman had now noticed Shera, she turned around to look at her, it may be a chance for me to attack her.

"Yaah!" - I charged the twig at the woman but she sliced it easily, the twig broke in half so I threw the twig at her

The twig that I threw also got sliced by the sword, that woman was a very experienced swordswoman. Now I have noticed that woman had black skin, I didn't notice her appearance much when she moved so fast in her attacks.

No time to talk now, that woman didn't listen to me so I didn't need to negotiate with her anymore.

"Hw ht leh ra oy?" (Who the hell are you?) - With this language barrier, I would not have a chance to talk with the woman

That woman charged at me again, I immediately grabbed the books on the stone shelf and threw them at that black skin woman. Shera still now looking at me nervously, she froze while staring at me.

"Princess! Run!"

The books that I threw, some of them hit the woman but some were sliced completely, at woman seemed very mad now, she charged at me with her sword raised.

I managed to dodge the sword strike by rolling to the dinner table, the dinner was quite small and the area of the house was not so big so I smacked my head while rolling.

My head hit a round chair but I managed to get up while enduring my pain.

The black skin woman seemed to be very exhausted after swinging her sword with strong blows. She charged at me with a stab stance but I managed to dodge her sword and the blade hit on the top of the round dining table.

Before that woman could pull her sword out to attack me, I made a jab to her cheek, the woman's grip was still so so strong that she didn't drop her sword yet.

Then I noticed that the woman had a very long white-haired, she was wearing the type of clothes that looked to be pink leather armor with hands and leg leather protectors in black.

I tried to pull the sword out of that woman's hand but I cannot so I made another jab to her cheek, then I noticed that her belt had a thing that looked like a dagger so I pulled it out.

"Rarrh!" - That black skin woman finally pulled out her sword that got stuck on the table and swung at me. I was so close to her so my T-Shirt got sliced but she only sliced the cloth of the shirt, I didn't bleed

"Sir Rigen!" - Shera! Dammit! You fucking stupid! Run, dammit!

But maybe I was wrong, Shera had charged herself to that black skin woman. She tried to grab the woman's hands, trying to pull the sword out though that was useless.

"Eg uo oh!" (Get out now!) - The black-haired woman smashed her head to Shera's head, Shera was now spinning, she cannot stand properly and be about to fall

"Rarrgh!" - I charged the dagger at the woman, I didn't want to charge at her when Shera was grabbing the sword, I was scared that Shera would be harmed but now she had been pulled away so I have relieved

That woman used her forearm to stop my stab, the dagger was just away from her not so far. Then I noticed the woman had blue eyes, she was now very struggling to resist my stab.

But I have to admit that the woman I was fighting was very well experienced, though her appearance looked slim but her hands were very tough when swinging the sword.

The woman saw that she had no chance to resist my stab, her hands were now very fatigued so she chose to bite my shoulder, trying to bite tight.

That was very hurt so I also lost my momentum, I slowly got pushed down to the floor. The black skin woman fastly got up and smashed my stomach by the foot, her other foot squeezed my hand that was holding the dagger.

"Sir Rigen!" - I saw Shera was now holding a round chair and charged at the woman from behind, dammit! I said just run, fuck it! You retard Princess!

"Tch! Oy naw t id, I liw el oy id" (Tch! You want to die, I will let you die!) - The woman sliced Shera but she seemed okay, Shera was fine, the woman's sword strike just hit the chair and Shera was shocked so she fell on the floor

When that woman didn't notice, I tried to squeeze my hand tight and was about to stab the dagger from below to the woman's belly, I could do that, my hand was capable to reach it.

"Arrgh!" - I screamed because that woman smashed her foot into my hand, I dropped the knife completely

I could see a bit when I was lying on the floor, Shera was now trying to stand up, she seemed very hurt, she also tried to find something to attack the woman.

About the black skin woman, she had squeezed tight my hand with her foot, she was now changing her sword to the stab direction from above to below, maybe she was about to stab my throat.

"Wait, hear me out a bit." - If we couldn't have the chance to win, we have to run or negotiate

Then I noticed, the woman's ears were quite pointy, they were long like the elves' ears, this woman was a Dark Elf?

Didn't in the Lord of The Rings of J. R. R. Tolkien, dark elves were told to be living underground? A dark elf lived in a stone house on the ground?

No! This world is not the Middle earth, I don't even know what is this world called. King Ralla told me that he saw the two soldiers from the Second World War when he was 2, this world is completely different from the Middle earth.

That woman didn't have any hesitation, her eyes had no regret if she stabbed me here but the woman looked a bit confused.

She still held her sword tight but she looked at me closer then turned around to look at Shera, though Shera was now trying to grab something to hit her but that woman didn't care.

"Wt namuh? (Two humans?) - That woman looked at me closer then looked at Shera again. Shera was now looking at the woman, she seemed a bit hesitant when she was holding a chair and was about to attack the woman from behind

"Are you two the humans?" - That dark elf woman suddenly spoke in Englis language

"Yes."

"You woman over there, don't make any move or this man will die!" - The dark elf woman shouted to warn Shera

"Hey, let me talk a bit."

"I only need this question, how did you two humans come here? Are you two heroes? You get here to kill Her Majesty?" - What was that woman meaning? She just has misunderstood

"Who is "Her Majesty" you are mentioned to?"

"Darker, the Supreme Demon Lord."

"I know no one named Darker, I just know there is a Demon Lord named Dark."

"Dark is just the name the people living out of this continent named her, her true name is Darker." - The woman pointed her sword to my throat closer

"Please don't hurt Sir Rigen!" - Shera was now kneeling on the ground, she begged the dark elf woman

"How did you two get here?"

"I don't know, I was joining the ceremony to summon the hero with that girl and a big explosion came out. We were sucked into it and when we woke up, we have already been here."

"Maybe my late brother was right about you humans, we have signed the truce 500 years ago. We don't touch any of your lands but you people keep sending heroes here to kill Her Majesty!"

"You people came from the other side of the border, according to our laws, every human who comes here will die, no exceptions."

"Wait! We got sent here, we don't want to go here so please don't kill us."

That dark elf woman looked at me and stared at Shera again, she seemed to want us to make something for her to trust.

"I will slowly get out of you, do not do anything stupid or I will kill you both." - After saying the word, the woman stepped out of me after picking up her dagger

"You are allowed to stand up, do not have any hostile against me or I will kill you all." - I slowly stood up after hearing that woman, Shera was also stood up as same as me, her eyes looked to have some tears

"Sir Rigen!" - Shera suddenly hugged me and cried when she saw I was fine

"Hey, do not move!" - Dammit! If I don't do anything, that woman would have sliced Shera apart

"Don't mind about this girl, lady! She has just lost all of her relatives so she is now very depressed, she just only has me left."

"Hey, Princess! Don't cry, I'm still here with you."

The woman after hearing what I said, she stared at Shera and also made a sad face.

"Me too, I also lost all of my parents and brothers, recently was my older brother Tatta. He died 10 years ago when he was guarding the border and faced a Hero that passed the border."

"Ah, sorry to hear that."

Then I looked around the house, seemed like our earlier fight had ended up with a mess, books got sliced and dropped around the floor, the dinner table that had a bit scratches, a chair broken...ah!

"I cannot trust you two yet but if you two are willing to clean the mess that we made up earlier, I will be very glad to know." - Maybe I should know about this dark elf more

"What's your name? I want to know you two' names to call you easy." - I was about to ask that woman's name but she asked two of us

"John."

"Shera!" - Shera, please stop crying!

"My name is Rivia, I'm the border knight of this continent." - The dark elf introduced her name to us, her name was Rivia

Looked like the rain outside had now dropped a bit, but we cannot get outside yet, maybe I should clean the mess for Rivia.

"Princess, you sit here, I will do the job for you." - I put Shera down on a chair near the dinner table and started walking to the mess that I made

"This is the first I have ever seen a human, you look very similar to our elves, just don't have the pointy ears." - Rivia said to me

"How did you know we are the humans when you just have seen us the first time?"

"It's all in the books, it's here, let's see, where is it?" - Rivia stepped toward the books that some had been sliced by her, some were now on the floor

I also stepped toward the books like Rivia, I wanted to pick them up to return them to the shelf, I saw that some of the books were still very fine but some had been sliced badly, Rivia had sliced them powerfully.

I picked up a book and flipped a few pages to see, the entire book was written in a language that I didn't know. Also Rivia, while attacking me, she had shouted some words as if her homeland's language.

"Here, this is the drawing of the humans." - Rivia flipped a page of a book and showed to me

I saw that were two figures in the drawing, one was a male, one was a woman, the figures were quite well drawn, very detailed.

"Hey, Rivia! What was the language you have spoken while attacking me and what was the language that was written in this book?"

"Ah, the language I talked about earlier is called Deranic, the words that are written in the book are also Deranic language." - Rivia slowly closed the book and stored it on the shelf

"Let me, let me help too." - I heard Shera's voice coming from behind, she was trying to pick up some books, she wanted to help us

"Just get back on your seat, Princess! Just let this job for me."

"But."

"Please!"

Shera lowered her face as if very sad and she returned to the seat and pressed her face under the table. Dammit! Have I just done something wrong? Princess just wanted to help me and Rivia!!!

"Sir Rigen, am I useless?" - I saw that Shera was crying, she was now crying while pressing her face down on the table

"No, Princess! You are fine, you just have lost your family so I just want to make you happy, don't worry, I will return to you when I have done the job here."

"You don't know how to deal with anything, you human! How can you let that girl cry?" - Rivia scolded me then walked toward Shera to comfort her

I didn't know that I just made Shera sad but I fastly collected all of the books even the ones that were being sliced and put all of them on the shelf and returned to Shera's seat, I wanted to comfort her.

"Hey, don't cry, don't cry!" - Rivia was now trying to comfort Shera, she seemed to be a Dark elf, but the Dark elf was always told to be staying on the bad side of the fantasy novels but how could this woman-friendly to Shera so soon like that?

"Rivia, you just have stayed guard on us earlier but now you care about Princess so much."

"As a border knight is quite boring, guarding the border only requires one person, I have done this job for ten years, always alone." - So that was why she behaved aggressively when she saw us?

"Looks like the humans are not dangerous as I thought, my parents and Her Majesty always told me that they are bad, they don't care about the others' feelings."

"But about you, you are different, you may not good at showing the care to the others but I can see the care in your eyes, you want to make this girl happy." - Rivia commented about me, maybe she was right

"But about the humans are not dangerous, you may be wrong, Rivia, you just have met two of us but you fastly came to that conclusion."

"At least I can see you two harmless for now, you are very tough, you know? John, are you a soldier? I have never seen my people have that many muscles, I only see that from the Orcs."

"Is every human soldier muscular like you?" - Why did she ask me that?

"Not really! They must be well trained, well-disciplined and also eat well to have this kind of body, you must work hard for it." - At least the soldiers in this world hardly have these kinds of muscles like our US soldiers, it was all depended on nutrition, science training and also discipled

"Hey, Princess!" - I tried to hug Shera, Rivia had finally put her hands out for me to hug her

"Hey, I'm sorry! Don't cry, Princess! I'm here with you, I'm sorry."

"Sir Rigen! Please let me have your chest just a bit, please." - Shera was now pressing her face to my chest, she was crying on it

"Don't cry, don't cry." - I patted Shera's head, she was very cute

Then I noticed that Shera hadn't drank anything at the time she got here, maybe she was thirsty.

"Princess, are you thirsty?"

"Yes, a little bit! But please stay here with me, Sir Rigen." - Shera had now stopped crying but she kept pressing her face to my chest as if to let me coddle her

"Rivia, can you please get Shera some water?"

Rivia made a nod to me and then looked for a cup to get water for Shera.

Then she went inside the curtain and went out again while holding the wooden cup that I threw when I first got here, the cup had now broken, maybe I had thrown it so powerful.

"Hey, sorry for breaking your property."

"Don't worry, I will make this cup again by cutting the wood." - Rivia said to me then went back to the small kitchen that was made of stone, she placed the broken cup to a side and then picked up another cup that nearby

Then I noticed that Rivia was now putting the cup that she picked below a thing that looked to be a small pillar that stick on an empty area, it had a small blue crystal in its middle.

She pushed a thing that looked like a stone button that was placed in the middle of the pillar and water started flowing out on the top of the pillar.

That thing, wasn't it a sink? A sink in this another world?

"Hey, Rivia! The thing that you are taking water from, what's it?"

"Oh, this magic tool is called a sink, it's all thanks to the human hero who came here to help us invent it." - So Frank Jonathan had affected the demons quite much

"Also the thing above the roof you two are now seeing, that thing is called electricity light, also came from that hero's invention."

"Do you know how the thing called electricity works?"

"No, those invention methods are the secret of us, no one is allowed to know except Her Majesty and her little sister." - So that was it, huh?

But wait? The way Rivia said to us, that means we are now in the Demonic continent, how did we get here?

Let me think a bit, if the magic that is used to summon the hero is teleport magic and the explosion was the result of leaking the magic out. That means the people that got sucked into the barrier are only sent somewhere else.

Maybe my subordinates and Shera's relatives were still alive, just maybe.

"You keep saying the girl going with you is a Princess, she is a Princess of a human's Kingdom?" - Rivia asked me while holding the cup that had water

"Yeah, a Kingdom named Warsaw."

"We don't know much about human things, no, it will be more right to say we don't care about them." - Rivia after having done her talk, she handed me the cup

"Here, Princess! Drink something." - Shera heard my word and took the cup from my hand, she drank all of the water inside it

"Hey, Rivia! Do you know exactly where is this place located?"

"This border, sorry! I mean this area is called Dela plains, my house is located in this area, away from it a bit are two forests called Tera and Diva. Diva is a forest that has high grounds, can be called the hills in the human's knowledge."

"If you see the land that is covered in white color from far away when you look one the hill, that area is called the Snow border, which divided our continent to the other continents."

"Hey, Rivia! About the location, do you know where is Dela exactly away from the Warsaw Kingdom?"

"As I said to you that I don't know much about human Kingdoms but this area is located in the South West of this Kingdom, it's just away from the human Kingdoms just a Snow border."

"I don't know exactly, if my memory when I was still a rookie border knight is right. Then you go from here to pass the Snow border with a straight line, the first human Kingdom you see when you passed is called Warsaw."

"Is that true, Rivia?" - Shera suddenly spoke to Rivia, she had now very relieved as if she thought she could go home

"Yeah, the border is just away from my house not far, but wait!" - Rivia warned Shera because she suddenly ran out of the house, I didn't notice when Shera had gone out of my hands but I fastly ran after her

"John! Do not let the girl get through the border, most of the people cannot pass it."

"The border is set up with the purpose to let no one go in or go out alive, you will die in a few hours or a day if you go there." - Rivia shouted loud to me, she warned me, she wanted me to save Shera

Dammit! Shera, I must stop her before she killed herself.

"John! The area around the border also has monsters, run fast to keep up with her!" - Understood, Rivia!

Then I ran as fast as possible to keep up with Shera, the sky was now still raining but not as much as before. Shera was now running in a panic mixed with happiness, she thought that she could go home.

"Princess! Stop! Princess! Stop!" - I shouted to Shera, she heard me so she turned back to see while running

"We can go home now, Sir Rigen! Follow me! We can go home!" - Shera said in happiness and ran faster to the area that covered in snow

After a few minutes of running, I saw the entire Snow border, the border was completely covered in snow. I was just standing away from it a few steps but I could feel the cold through the bone.

"Princess!" - I shouted to Shera because she was now trying to run to the border

Then I managed to keep up with Shera and held her down on the ground, Shera was now resisting me powerfully, she wanted to go home.

"Sir Rigen, why did you stop me? My homeland is just away from there not so far!" - Dammit! You fucking stupid!

"Look, Princess! Open both of your eyes wide!" - I pulled Shera's collar and pointed to her the border forward

"See it, Princess? It's a border with snow and snow, nothing there but snow, can you feel the cold? Can you feel it? We haven't stepped on the border yet but the cold has spread to us now!"

"Nothing out there, Princess! We cannot survive through it, even if your homeland is away from that border just a few steps, that's impossible to go through!"

"But!"

"Open your eyes! The cold is now spreading to us more and more though we didn't go to the border yet, can you feel how cold it will be if we go there, Princess! Open your eyes!"

"But! My homeland! My family! They are waiting for me!"

"They are all dead, Princess! They are all dead!"

"No! No! Crying!" - Dammit! I just broke Shera's heart

"Don't cry, Princess! I'm here with you, I'm here with you, I will always be here with you."

We held each other while looking at the border forward, it was just full of snow around, cold to the bone.

A border that we can never go through, though Shera's house was just away from it a few hours or a few steps of walking.
