《The Robomechanic Wanderer》Chapter 16: Entering the barn

The group went inside of the old barn. Which was your classic red barn that most people knew very well. While they went inside suddenly the gates of the stables opened and two mechanical cows blocked the way.
Sophie sent her gyro ball at the left cow who took a step backwards. Ronald tossed his knife at the right cow. However it seems like neither of those attacks really did a number on them.
"Well Collin, Sophie your old man don't seem to have done any damage to this cow thing. Any idea how to get through this?"
"Well my gyro ball don't seem to have done anything either. I bet ya that they are tanky mf's."
"Well I don't think we will be able to do much either. But let's give it a shot either way."
Collin tossed his wrench at the right cow. But she doesn't seem to even notice it. Then Collin decided to send snuggly towards her. But they weren't able to do much either against this wall of a tank.
Lastly chirp-a-lot went for a dive attack which did something at least.
The right cow charged at Ronald hitting him and Sophie simultaneously. The left cow charged at snuggly and Collin. Hitting them both.
Snuggly lost 5 hp
Host lost 6 hp
The whole group looked really frustrated. They were simply feeling powerless against those duo of tanks. after all they couldn't do anything to them not even a scratch. Their stats were simply too low for a tier II structure it seems like.
They were way too confident and traveled to this Tier II structure. Without even having a thought of what might be waiting for them inside that farmhouse. After all it does seems like a easy dungeon if it was in a game. But once more it strikes them that this is reality now.

"So what is the current plan now you two? Are we just gonna accept the bronze clear reward and leave this be?"
Collin looked at the cows and sighed
"I guess so, we underestimated this structure for sure. But hopefully we at least got something decent from the bronze clearance."
Sandy then popped out when she heard them talking about giving up. Likely to get the rewards ready.
Sophie nodded
"Well fine with me even though it is a bit against my standards"
Collin commanded his minion to retreat and they followed him obediently. Just like that the group walked to the exit. But when they were just about to leave. The two big red doors closed on them and they jumped a bit. Sandy also jumped and went back into her device form.
"Oh great! This is why you don't give up you two!" Sophie yelled while pointing at the cows.
When they turned back around they were greeted by two cows charging at them and hitting all of them hard.
Everyone but chirp-a-lot lost 6 hp
Everyone but chirp-a-lot were stunned
They were cornered now sitting highly wounded with their backs towards the big closed red doors. The cows ran away and prepared themselves for another charge attack.
Collin tried to move but his limbs refused to move, making it impossible for him to move. All of his muscles just refused to do anything. He looked at his companions and saw that they were in a similar state. The cows now charged back at them after making a turn. While Collin was looking in horror to the two charging cows.
Collin looked up at chirp-a-lot who looked really worried towards their friends. Not being too sure what they can do now.
Collin looked around and saw a few metal barrels laying on the walkway planks. Near the top of the barn. He pointed towards the metal barrel.

"Chirp-a-lot use air raid with that metal barrel!"
Chirp-a-lot being happy to be of some help in this moment of desperation. Flies towards the plank ways and grabbed the metal barrel.
They flied downstairs while the cows were now mere meters away from the group. Then tossed the metal barrel in between them and the group. The cows then tripped over it in their hurry and flied head first onto the red door some meters above the group.
The group now sprinted away from the big door, neatly avoiding the metal barrels and regrouped where the cows ran towards.
The cows were laying confused on the ground and tried to get back onto their feet.
The group used this moment to heal up using some of their health potions. Collin then used quick repair while the cows were getting back up.
Sophie sent a gyro ball towards the cow. Who just managed to stand back up and she once more fell back to the ground. Then Collin commanded to do another metal barrel air raid.
So chirp-a-lot went ahead and threw another barrel towards the cows. Which this time around finished them for good.
300 exp will be split among the group.
Host levelled up to level 4
Sophie levelled up to level 4
Ronald Levelled up to level 4
Snuggly levelled up to level 5
- Minion stat overhaul reached.
Chirp-a-lot levelled up to level 4
Collin smiled at this notification and gave a sigh of relieve. A sense of proudness arrived in all of them, for coming up with such a creative solution. To what would most likely have been their ultimate demise.
"Well you know the deal, everyone heal up. afterwards let's scavenge this place of their goodies!"
Sophie and Ronald were quite surprised about Collin. He seems to have grown more towards a leader with every passing day. They smiled and nodded in agreement, and healed up before scavenging. When he also got a system notification while chirp-a-lot was patrolling.
Congratulations you achieved the silver clear reward of the abandoned farmhouse!

His invincible soul now unchained, surprises await him as he begins his new jouney in an unknown land. I'm just writing this for fun, but i'll never drop it. This won't be something short, as I have the very long term in mind, but I'm a total noob to writing, so I most likely won't release chapters very often, at least until I really get the hang of it. But, the chapters will always be several thousand words long. At the minimum 2k, maximum like 6k... Pretty big variations, sorry. If you like it, great. If you don't, that's understandable. Regardless, if you have a read, I'd appreciate feedback for areas you think I should improve on, whether it's the use of some words or how I should write something or WHATEVER. I'm open to anything, good or bad, because with your help, it'll help make this story better. **DISCLAIMER** So you don't waste your time, I want to let you know what you're getting into, because I like knowing ahead of time before I read something. This might appear like a Xianxia novel, but it's not. It only starts that way. This is a western fantasy world and setting that many of you are familiar with. The beginning chapters might be a bit of an info dump. Some of it might seems superfluous, but a lot of information is relevant to the story. The first few chapters might also seem rushed, but I'll try to keep it exclusive to those. This is a cliche, OP MC story with the typical harem, but other than the quick start, everything else will be gradual. There will be romance, and probably many moments at that, but don't expect anything TOO detailed. If you want something really steamy, look elsewhere. References and throwbacks to stuff most likely. The setting won't be really dark or really light. Middleground, I guess. The MC is far from a young kid, but he won't totally reflect his age. I don't plan on discarding info, abilities or characters that you KNOW should come back and be around. I see it a lot and it sort of bugs me haha... but I could have oversights, I dunno. As I said, I'm a noob. That's it, really. If you're interested, welcome to my world!
