Deep inside the Eternal Ice Valley, there was a massive frozen lake. The ice that covered the lake had an orange gleam to it. If one looked closely they would have seen that there was lava flowing beneath the ice. At the center of the frozen lava lake there was a lotus blooming. The lotus petals were made of ice shards and ethereal fire, the Bone Chilling Fire Lotus.

This lotus was the main purpose for Fang Ryuu and Mei Lei’s trip. As both of them cultivated fire qi this lotus will be beneficial for the both of them.

There were lots of beasts gathered around the lotus waiting for the lotus to bloom. Everfrost Woolly Mammoth, Silver Sabretooth Tigers, Iceking Wolves, Killer Polarbears, and many other vicious looking beats were eyeing the lotus as if their lives depended on it. The beasts ranged from around 50 meters to 200 meters tall.

Somewhere near the frozen lake two people were standing in tier 7 concealment array formation. The young man was handsome beyond mortal level. Sharp black eyes, aquiline nose, finger length black hair, tall and lean body. The woman had long black silky hair, beautiful red eyes, face covered with a veil, modest breasts and long legs.

“The lotus will bloom soon and the beasts will contest for it. We will take down the last beast standing. Understood?” Mei Lei asked.

“No, I think we should snatch it as soon as it blooms.”

“Have you gone mad? Each one of them is at mid-Ascendant realm. We will get stomped under their foot”

“Coward. Nothing is going to happen. I will protect you. Plus I have a feeling that something bad might happen if we wait, and one thing that I have learned is to always trust my feelings.”

“You? Protect me? With your Void shattering realm cultivation?”

“Trust me Mei Lei, I have a plan”

Mei Lei stared at him for a long time then said.

“So what is your plan then?”

Fang Ryuu took out a couple of witch hat from his spacial ring.

“Here wear this. This is a onetime use tier 7 treasure, it can make invisible to everyone, and even peak-Ascendants can’t find us. This hat can grant us absolute invisibility for 10 minutes. We can take the lotus from right under their noses.”

“Just how many treasures do you have in your spacial ring? Never mind, I don’t think I can handle your answer. Anyway are you sure about this?”

“Yup 100 perc..”

*stzzssssssss*

Fang Ryuu stopped mid speech as the lake and the ground surrounding it shook. A bright beam of light shot straight into the sky from the center of the lake.

All the beasts roared and started running towards the Bone Chilling Lotus.

*Boom* the Everfrost Woolly mammoth rammed his tusks at the large killer polar bear. The silver sabretooth tigers pounced at Iceking wolves. All the beasts started attacking each other to prevent others from getting ‘their’ treasure.

“Let’s go. This is our chance” Fang Ryuu took back the concealing formation flag and activated the hat.

“Yup” Mei Lei and Fang Ryuu stared their mad dash towards the Bone Chilling Lotus. Avoiding the tall heavy legs of the vicious beasts, they reached lotus after 5 minutes.

“Hurry! We have only got five minutes! Store the flower in a jade box”

“I KNOW” Mei Lei shouted back at him as she plucked the flower and kept it in a jade box which she took out from her spacial ring. Both of their hearts were beating like crazy.

All the beasts stopped fighting and stated at the center of the lake as soon as she kept the lotus in jade box.

*Roar* The beasts let out a confused roar at they looked at the center of the lake.

“HAHAHAHA I knew it! How can these brainless beasts compete against my treasures?!”

“umm… Fang Ryuu I think we are in trouble.” Mei Lei picked Fang Ryuu up started dashing out of the lake.

*Booom* *crash*

“*tsk* this is why I hate these brainless beasts.” Fang Ryuu who was being carried by Mie Lei said.

In a fit of rage from losing ‘their’ treasure they started using their most powerful spells to destroy the whole lake.

Mei Lei kept running while carrying Fang Ryuu without look back or checking the situation at the lake with her divine sense.

“2 minutes left

“1 minute

“30 seconds

“5...4…3...2...1 Stop I think we are safe now.” Fang Ryuu counted the timer for the concealment hat and immediately placed the concealment array flag down as the time for the hat expired.

*huff*Huff*

Mei Lei took deep breaths to recover her fatigue. She had burned her through all of her qi and a little bit of life essence in order to escape from the impending doom.

“HAHAHA…. See that was so easy”

“Easy? Well it sure was easy for you considering that didn’t do a thing”

“Hey! Don’t say that, I provided all the treasures. Don’t forget that wealth is also part of a cultivator's power.”

“Yeah yeah! Whatever!” Mei Lei rolled her eyes at him.

“Well good thing that my feeling about something bad happening was wro”

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*

Fang Ryuu and Mei Lei heard an explosion followed with painful cries of beasts. They looked towards the direction of the sound and saw that a huge 900 meters tall beast had crushed all the beasts.

“Oh shit! Σ(ﾟ口ﾟ;)// ”
