《Sword and Bloodline》Too many secrets!

"I'm highly honoured" Lee smiled as he bowed once again, it had been has he expected, he wasn't proud but he knew his talent was topnotch and only those with bloodlines could outmatch him.
Elder Chu's face had become terrible to behold, never had he expected that Lee who he had assumed to have either ended up dying or even cripple himself suddenly escape the calamity and come out victorious!
"Clan head Skyfire i congratulate you, i had always known that Lee would emerge the best!" Elder son's voice suddenly rang out as he smiled at Lee's father.
"Shameless Bastard!" Elder chu clenched his hands into fists under his sleeves to abate his anger, as he stared venomously at Elder Son who suddenly appeared to have been on Skyfire's side all the time, if it wasn't for his position as an elder and the importance of the ceremony to his clan, he would have sliced Elder Son's tongue and broken all of his teeth.
********
In no time the sun had returned to the horizon, bringing an end to the ceremony, as for those who had to flee the platform because of Lee, took the test again and most especially the ones who were making use of frigid energy outlandish stones, they had to be treated well.
As for Grindsea he immediately left the clan after he selected Lee, as the rest were just average and only a quarter of them were able to create sword totems.
Grindsea was an emissary of his sect sent to search for young talents from local clans just like Wateredge. In a cultivation world such as this were bloodlines were the most recognised, the world was controlled by monarchy.
For example the Empire of Goldfox where Wateredge clan resided was ruled by the Royal clan of Goldfox which had the bloodline of the Mystical Goldfox. In one word, bloodlines represented power and progress of a clan, which was why Wateredge had still remained stagnant for years.

Goldfox empire was extremely vast and so they couldn't utterly oversee their whole territory, and so several countries were created with local authorities placed in control, with most of them being clans with formidable bloodlines!
Each country were in control of hundreds of millions of people; a colossal population!
Goldfox empire had a total of eight countries, the country which Wateredge clan is under is known as Greenland.
Compared to the entire country, Wateredge was just a speck of dust which to some clans could be destroyed with a wave of their hands. Regarding the sect which Grindsea represented, it was among the Four Ruling Sects, as they were always regarded that rivalled the academy of Greenland country.
These four ruling sects were the only private parties in Greenland that could tutor or give the best teaching compared to Greenland academy.
Though in standard they were compared to Greenland academy, they still lacked in terms of battle strength, in contrast to Greenland academy which had the backing of a whole empire.
The Four ruling sects were known to accept disciples in the fashion of sending out emissaries to seek out talents among the populace.
***********
"Son, I'm truly happy, you make me proud!" Clan head Skyfire couldn't help but pour out his emotions as he spoke to his son under the reflection of the moon.
"Thanks, but aren't you suppose to pay me for that "Lee said with a sly smile on his face, on his hands was Azure, who Lee gently stroked it's fluffy white fur.
Skyfire almost choked on hearing this, and his face suddenly grew pale, he couldn't help but shake his head.
"Father, when is master Grindsea coming back"
"In two months time, that is the main reason why i summoned you here!"
"Ohh, what could father's intention be?!"

"You know well about our secret sword art, which even you yourself practice!" Lee nodded his head in response.
" Do you assume it to be our most powerful technique?!"
"Yes father, I can't think of anything else" Lee said has he knitted his eyebrows, why would it be secret when it wasn't the most powerful?!
"Ahh, finally there is something you don't know" Clan head Skyfire chuckled as a satisfied grin appeared on his face.
"The reason why you assume [Shadow piercing sword art] to be our most powerful, is probably because its a tier three martial art and the rest of the martial arts available is from tier one to two"
" But that is where you are missing it, if it is our ultimate technique would we teach every single clan member as we have done?!"
"Ohh!" it was then a glint of understanding flashed across Lee's eyes.
Almost every member knew this so called secret sword art of theirs, as long as you had enough talent, though one had to burn it immediately after learning, nevertheless it was still a bit defective.
"[Shadow piercing sword art] can be said to be a sort of foundation for the ultimate technique of clan, without learning [Shadow piercing sword art] to a substantial stage you can never wield the ultimate technique of ours"
Lee nodded his head in understanding, he never knew such profoundness was merged with the tier three martial art.
" Father, why are you just informing me about this?!" Lee said with a slight frown on his face.
" Because one, you weren't mentally prepared and secondly it requires you open all spiritual paths; become a Ring stage cultivator before you can fully unleash it's strength"
" Wow!" Lee was wowed, never had he expected the sword art to have such requirement, one should know that the spiritual refinement stage was a level meant to open one's spiritual path which would circulate the qi present in one's dantian, presently Lee had only few spiritual paths opened, and could only pull qi to a very tiny part of his body!
" Do you think a mere tier three art can keep us standing all this years in this competitive area, where clans get dissolved and destroyed in seconds.....you are extremely naive!" chortled Clan head Skyfire.
Lee spent several hours with his father engaging in some chitchats, ever since the passing of his mother who died to some mysterious illness, he had bonded more with his father, who though appeared to be jovial and carefree, was very strict, there were times when Lee wouldn't dare to play tricks on him, he knew whenever his father's mood was good.
But all the same he respected his father a lot.
" Father, I need to sleep!" Lee yawned lazily as he stared at Azure who had long slept.
" Ok, sleep well, tomorrow you visit the martial library to get some arts, one thing you should know is that [Shadow piercing sword art] isn't the only tier three martial art we have and since your totem is formidable, you have a chance at one of them!"
"Too many secrets!" Lee said as he shook his head helplessly.

Slime of Gluttony
_____ ___, a completely and utterly deplorable person. Lazy, apathetic, and unmotivated. He spends his time as a shut-in, wasting his life away doing nothing of importance. This is the life of the man, a life of no importance. At the impulse of desiring food, he left his small and cramped apartment. Regretting his actions immediately, he was left with the prospect of a complete panic attack due to the numerous amount of people outside at that day. However, he pressed on, determined to find some sort of delicious food to consume. Life had other plans for him. He gets hit by a car, and after hearing strange words from an even stranger voice, he dies. However, minutes, hours, maybe even days later, he awakes, his senses of smell, sight, and hearing robbed of him. Author's Note: This is my first story on Royal Road, so it might not be the best. Although, I hope you enjoy! I'll probably write around 2000 words or more per chapter, but on average a bit more. If you're wondering, the cover art is drawn by me, just in case you thought I wasn't giving credit to the creator. This story might often times lean more into the comedy side of things, but stuff can still get pretty serious at times, especially in the later chapters. The story isn't super dark or anything, but character death is of course going to be a thing. Who? Well, you'll find out, eventually. Also, I'll upload chapters on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I hope you enjoy reading this little hobby of mine!
