“Did you hear about Roan, of the Covenant of the Wise Man? He is the merchant that sells the blood sausages. People say he is a curse-user. Based on some rumors, he can guess what you are feeling, as if he could read your heart. He exposed the leader of the Covenant of the wind for being a self-serving demon. However, the members of the Covenant of the wind say Roan himself is worse than a demon. In fact, I sneaked into the factory where Roan manufactures his goods. It took me a lot of courage and timing to achieve this feat. There, I saw Roan and his companions bleed out foreign slaves and use their blood to make the blood sausages. It was a horrific sight. Despite that, the profits for the blood sausages are horribly high. I wonder what the customers of the blood sausage would think. In fact, are you a customer for Roan’s trademark Barnmade blood sausages? I would advise you to stop buying any Barnmade product. Trust me, I’m no kid. And I don’t want you to be a kid either.”
“Who are you?” I ask.
“I’m a journalist! A first-rate one at that. You can always trust me to gain helpful information for whatever commission you have.”
“And you?” I turn to the second person.
“My name is a John Walter. I am also a journalist. I have fresh information on the Collard Empire.” He presents me with a newspaper. “Apparently, a fruitful alliance between merchants has been made there.” John crosses his arms. “Feel free to sue me if you don’t like what I say.”
His face looks similar to that of my rl sister, Natlan. She gives people-advice without asking people if they would accept or decline to receive such outsourced knowledge, but then complains when I try to start an accountability culture, or division of labor, in terms of thinking or such outsourcing, despite the fact that, as per one psychologist, that is the natural role of a society, while respecting boundaries. Apparently, this strategy beats out talking to oneself. Well, I do not know better than that psychologist.
