《Dreams Recounted》#4 | Nightmare?

A cold run down empty church. In the centre of it, standing on worn down wooden floorboards is me, a dying flashlight lies on the ground at my feet. The back left corner of the church has collapsed, fortunately the debris blocking any possible way in that could've formed.
Darkness as far as the eye can see. Anything past a few metres away from the walls is completely obscured with a thick black fog that oozes along the ground. The outside walls of the church are completely covered in crosses warding off the creatures and shooting out a spike, skewering any who wander too close to touch them.
The few creatures that do get close enough to see give me a good idea of what they look like. Gangly and tall, pale white skin covers their bony bodies, every limb having one too many joints, the head completely smooth except for a short trunk looking appendage growing from the centre.
As I'm looking for a way out, all the crosses attached to the outside wall of the church slowly turn upside down. I think it's a bit cliché but that doesn't mean I'm not in danger. A single creature emerges from the fog walking up to the only door of my safe haven, it's trunk peeling open, blooming like a flower made of meat, exposing a single giant eye.
Stealthily walking up to the door I take a look through the peephole, it isn't trying to get through instead staring straight back through the peephole right at me. Jerking my head back I turn to run to the fallen corner hoping to be able to break down some rubble, just enough to make a hole big enough to fit through but as I turn around I see the creature inside.
It's less than an arms length away from me and before I can have any kind of response it jerkily jumps towards me.

Walking through the school I pass the cafeteria. It's standard in design with a high roof and lots of space, there are two double doors in the left corners facing directly at each other, the serving table between them inside a room attached to the left of the hall. The tables and chairs are filled with students, all made of static, except for my friend Lana, her red hair made of fire. Our table is the closest to the entrance door and I tell her that I'm going to check the timetable for our next class, getting up and walking through the opposite door.
Passing through small hexagonal rooms I eventually make it to my locker, open it and check my timetable. The next class is at 4:00. Grabbing a juice box from my bag I return to the cafeteria, sitting back down with Lana.
Now above the doors there are outcroppings with bottles of water flipped up on them by other students. There are five bottles. Checking the time with a small clock on the other end of the hall, the time reads 4:15. Getting up I walk out the entrance doors to explore.
No more than a few metres to my left is a film set. A church made to look dilapidated stands in the middle, to the left of the church there are four students, two of them are talking to each other with another one behind them, the last one is in the costume of a pale gangly creature. Its stitches and seams easily spottable. They arguing with each other about whether or not the monster should move slowly and smoothly to put people on edge or jerkily and twitchy to scare them.
Going up to them I ask what they are doing and they tell me they are making a short horror film and say I can visit whenever I feel like it.
Before I can give them a response Lana comes walking down and pulls me by my arm towards our next class.

A World Forgotten
***This story will contain lite-litrpg elements, mainly character pages and a town page. There will also be settlement building and adventuring, missteps and achievements. But one thing it definitely won’t have is a harem. Nor will it have an overpowered MC. Contains mild cursing.*** ***feel free to critique my writing and offer input. This is my first venture into writing. I've always enjoyed litrpg/gamelit books. I feel like I write how I talk, so it may be a little different. You won't hurt my feelings if you see something wrong or out of place! *** ***What follows is a condensed part of chapter 1. Enjoy!*** Drew Cooper is thrust into a new, unfamiliar world. Waking up in his sweats and t-shirt near what seems to be a forgotten path through some woods, he struggles coming to terms that he's no longer in his apartment. As he tries to cope with his new reality, he hears a horse coming down the path. He hides behind a nearby tree dreading what may happen next. As the horse approaches, he sees a man walking next to it. The horse is burdened with packs and gear. When the man nears, Drew nearly panics. He has a large sword strapped to his waist, obviously a fighter. He continues to hide as the man slowly passes only for the man to stop a dozen meters past his hiding spot. "You may as well come out, ya know. You weren't as well hidden as you thought," the man stated matter-of-factly, letting the horse’s reins go and putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. Slowly and scared for his life, Drew raised up and walked from behind the tree. "I-I'm sorry. I wasn't planning on attacking you. I-I don't know where I am. I heard your horse and hid. I didn't know what you'd do if you saw me. I'm sorry," he nervously blurted out. A minute passed. Then two. The man seemed interested with Drew and stepped closer, eyes squinting as if trying to see something. "What's that on your shirt? Is that. What is that? Is that, Pac-man?" The man was visibly shaken while pointing at me. Looking down at his t-shirt nervously, "Yea. Yea. I woke up here a few hours ago I think. 3 maybe 4 hours. I’ve just been sitting here. Where am I? What's going on?" Drew asked. "That's not important right now," the man replied. " What's important is where you're from. What year is it?" "What year? April something 2020. Why? What's going on?" Drew continued now worried. The man was taken aback. After a few moments, he seemed to calm himself some. The man sighed and looked at Drew in earnest. "Well, I've got good news and bad news for ya. Bad news is you're not on Earth anymore. Good news is you happened to run into me and not someone else. You’re either really lucky, or it’s fate we met in these woods, and I don’t believe in luck." The man continued to walk towards Drew while talking and put out his hand. "I'm John Mitchell from St. Louis or thereabouts. You’ve got nothing to be scared of by me. Walk with me and let’s talk."

Dragon Ball, A True Coherent Fan-Fic
Author: So I was writing and erasing every time I had a chapter for my other story, I felt it had something missing. So I decided to practice by doing a Fan Fic after reading some of them. Some of them almost made puke of how much they made me cringe. Now I'll make it justice my doing one. I don't have to create too deep of lore. I can just work around what's already there and fix some things I hated in the original work. Vegito being retcon. Launch being lost in limbo. No love for Tien Shinhan. Synopsis: I died and reincarnated in the Dragon Ball universe. This is how everything went down after was reborn.
