A large group consisting of myself, friends, and classmates have a short walk up a small green hill. At the base of the hill is a picnic table with a covering and at the top is a metal fence that squares off a clean swimming pool. There is nothing surrounding the pool save for a wall to the left.
Everyone in the group is wearing a backpack. I sit down at the picnic table for a few seconds and realise I don't have a backpack. One of my friends says it doesn't matter. I don't have a change of clothes so i wont be able to swim.
Once we get through a gate in the black fence most of the group place their belongings on one of the plastic chairs that surround the pool and all race to jump in. I don't get in on account of me not having any bathers.
The friend from before jumps out of the pool, grabs me, and tries to pull me into the water. I resist by pulling away and attempting to spin them off of me but in the end I slip in and get dragged into the pool.
After swimming for some time an organiser enters the pool area with a clear plastic bag filled with an assortment of random things. From the few things I see in the bag there are pieces of chicken, orbs that hatch into familiars or pets, and even some sort of geodes that boost physical abilities.
Everyone races to get these things before anyone else does as there are only a limited number of items. The items are not free though and we have to pay currency for something. The lowest cost I see is only one and the highest is three.
The currency we use is a featureless wooden coin and I just so happened to have two of them in my pocket. Since everyone else needs to grab their bags to get their money I am first to purchase something.

I don't have enough for one of the three cost items so I have to settle for a two cost one. All the rest of my money is in my bag that I forgot to bring. I purchase one of the orbs before moving to the side to inspect it.
The orb has a mirror consciousness of mine and the mirror me inside warps the orb to take the form of whatever I think of. Looking up I feel lucky as a line has formed up that wraps halfway around the pool.
My friend is at the very front of the line and bought a piece of chicken. They stand there for a few seconds eating it and only move out of the way of the others after I call out to them and ask how long they plan to stand there. They seemed surprised they held up the line and sheepishly slid out of the line to join my side.

A litrpg / isekai epic that I've been inspired to make after years of wonderful works like "So I'm a Spider," "Rimuru the Slime," "Azarinth Healer," "Negima!?," and plethora of other isekai and fantasy novels and animes. Special shout-out to Douglas Adams, a big influence on narative humor that's had a non-insignificant effect on my writing style. I hope you enjoy joining Mara on her journey as I attempt to scratch the itch they left behind.Chapters target 3-6k~ words. Though I'm personally aiming for a chapter every couple weeks, I think I can at least promise one a month with how busy work's been. There for the first time, he will make true friends and find people he will come to see as family. He will encounter strong enemies, build powerful alliances, and become a person his ancestors would be proud of. But surrounded by creatures he thought only existed in tales and pressed by the Empire’s constant expansion, Jayce’s safety may be only an illusion. To survive a world fraught with danger Jayce will need to grow stronger with each new experience and rebuild his once forgotten house. ********************************************************************** Note: The story starts slow. Although there is more action as the story progresses, there is a fair amount of introspection and character introduction in the first 30 chapters. Jayce is the main character, however, other characters play a large role and the story is seen through multiple POV's. This is a draft, it is not a finished work. This is not a story that focuses on an OP MC who beats up on weaklings. At times there can be a fair amount of internal monologue. Some of that may be edited out when I rewrite the story. I decided to keep it in the draft because I think it is better to have too much material rather than too little when I edit. He is then transferred into a game-like world, and gains a new body that is far stronger. However, this game-like world has its own secrets, which causes the MC to be summoned to a new world. It is here, in this new world, where his personality really comes forth, shaking the world to its very core.Arc 2 - Terra:The story continues with the kitsune's new audience, an army of monsters, as they journey from the forests of Nu'Bai and onwards towards the Lichdom known solely as Necropolis. Whereupon they learn of how he conquered worlds within an area known only as The Abyss. There, his past self meets new creatures and annoyances, as he and his continue to grow ever closer to obtaining their world called Terra. Arc 3 - Abyss:War. The end result in a conflict of words which fall upon deafened ears of those who could not come to an understanding; an agreement. Instead, they must fight one another so that one must come out on top in order to shout to the heavens, "I am right; you are wrong!" Thus is the same in this installment within the series of Origin Point, but instead of outright war, the Ageless speaks to a new audience of Gods, Goddesses, Immortals, and their children of how his past self had to venture into the tutorial world known as Terra where he must fight a War of Attrition. This is so, as he must draw out the God reigning over their world so that he may fight and conquer this deity in order to regain what he desires most. His world.
