Johnny exits the café and was blocked by a man in a black trench coat.

Johnny raises an eyebrow.

“Are you not turning the boy?” The man asks.

Johnny lets out a laugh. “What? Are you dense? Why would I?” He asks, feeling it was ridiculous. It's not that Johnny had a hard moral code against changing children to vampires, but he felt that it required a certain level of consent, and that wasn't something Nick could provide.

The man lets out a sigh of relief and takes off his sunglasses, before taking out his wallet to show Johnny. “My name is Jonas, from the Mortal Conservation Society. It’s good that you don’t have that intention or I would have to take you in.” He says.

Johnny immediately smiles, holding in his laughter. “Mortal conversation? What are they? Endangered animals?” He asks, about to laugh.

The man looks at Johnny seriously “Yes. Yes, they are. They are endangered by the world around them. It’s our duty to protect them.” He says, finding nothing funny about it.

Johnny lets out a breath. “Okay. Sure. So what do you want?” He asks.

The man puts his sunglasses back on. “We’re here to warn you, Mister Jordan. The ads you’ve placed in various newspapers and on multiple trading websites, it goes against your policy. This is your first warning. The stability of the mortal world is a delicate thing, and we’ll do what we have to, to protect its future.” He says before turning and leaving.

Johnny shakes his head and looks at Leo. “Do you know about those guys?” He asks.

“Yes. They’re a global organization. They protect the line between the supernatural world and the mortal world. They’re responsible for various cover ups related to the supernatural world.” Leo says.

Johnny raises an eyebrow. “Do they have any real power?” He asks.

“Many of them are mortals but there are a lot people in the supernatural world who also believe in their cause. It was originally an organization created by powerful people of the supernatural world. Also, they’ve done many favors and cleaned up a lot of problems caused by people in the supernatural world, so they do have a decent amount of power.” Leo says.

“Hmm.” Johnny says. Another restriction. He thinks before taking out his phone. “Hey, where are you guys?” He asks.

“We’re at the beach. Lucy seems to be getting a decent amount of attention here.” Mary Rose says with a smile.

Johnny raises an eyebrow. “Send me your location.” He says.

“I told you I have a boyfriend!” Lucy exclaims.

Mary Rose could only frown.

“Baby, he doesn’t deserve you. Your body is dripping in hot magical energy. Think about it, babe! Our babies could conquer the world! Fuck, your genes are so tasty I could eat you up.” A man in swimming shorts says.

Lucy instinctively covers her body with her arms, disgusted. Unfortunately, her shy gesture and her bikini only began to look more enticing to the man.

Mary Rose couldn’t help but laugh. “Lucy, you should give him a chance. You can’t be hanging around my boyfriend all the time.” She says, encouraging the matter.

Lucy’s brows furrow and she decides to not care any longer. “Mary Rose, I’m telling you, he’s my boyfriend too! No one can take him away from me!” She says, determination in her face.

The man’s eyes widen. “You two are sharing a boyfriend?” He says, perplexed, before determination also appears on his face. “That settles it, babe. You should be with me. That guy obviously doesn’t care about you if you’re his second girlfriend. You’re just an accessory! He doesn’t deserve you, babe! If you come with me, I’ll treat you right! You’ll be my one and only.” He says earnestly.

Lucy lets out a grimace. Those words hit her where her wounds were the most sore. Suddenly, she sees Johnny approach and she resolves herself.

Lucy walks up and gives Johnny a hot, sloppy kiss, then looks him in the eyes. “Am I your girlfriend, or not?” She asks, ready to break things off right here if he answered incorrectly.

Johnny looks at Mary Rose and sees her brows furrow. He lets out a sigh, resigning himself. “Yes.” He says.

Lucy doesn’t let go. “Am I just an accessory?” She asks, giving Johnny a stern stare.

Johnny shakes his head. “You’re not.” He says.

Lucy smiles and kisses him once more.

Mary Rose stomps her feet. “Hmph!” She says before walking away.

Johnny had never felt so helpless.

The man looks at all this with wide eyes. He couldn’t stop himself from berating Johnny. “Dude? Are you not the trashiest sort of human being?” He says, pointing at Johnny.

Johnny lowers his head. “Yes, I am.” He says, unable to say anything else.

The man doesn’t stop. “Two beautiful girls. Are you so selfish that you must possess them both? Do you not love them enough to let them go and become happy without you? How far up your own ass are you that you think you’re worth it? Trash.” He says.

Johnny could only let out a sigh. He had nothing to say to that.
