《Blue Road》Episode 7 (Part 1)

Richard looked down at his suit and found it evaporating from his skin. The skies grew dark as fewer people walked about on the city sidewalk. Richard hid behind a wall as he watched the mild scenery unfold. He went over what to do, along with Fawn.
“Have you told the boss—?”
“Yes, I’m surprised you found the coat and hat so fast.”
“I’m a ghost, remember?”
A giant projector appeared on one of the tallest buildings in their view. An older man with a white hat and gray hair sat from behind the desk. He had his hands relaxed and wore a smug grin on his face.
“We now have an important announcement from the city’s mayor, Max.” Someone announced from a distance.
“This city has a mayor?” Richard questioned.
The man in question, named Max, cleared his throat before starting his speech. “People of Biostance, the few that are still present, I have some awful news to bear with you all. Among us, there is a terrorist on the premises.”
“Who do you think he’s referring to?” Fawn questioned.
“Whoever it is, it’s got nothing to do with me,” Richard replied with a shrug.
“We’ve closed the entrances and exits to this place.” Max went on. “But don’t be alarmed, I’ve sent out many troops to subdue this criminal.” He showcased an image of a blurry, blob-like figure next to him as he continued the speech. “Be wary, he’s suffered from radiation poisoning and is out and about in a tacky disguise, already having killed dozens of people that tried to confine him.”
Richard’s mouth gaped upon further inspection of the image that popped up. Then it clicked. “That’s me, he’s talking about me!” He started fuming. “That’s not true, he’s lying about me!”

“Not so loud!” Fawn warned. “People will stare, you’ll get caught sooner!”
The two ran further into the alleyway, hoping to avoid attention. They tried to calm down and figure out what their next course of action should be.
“Ok, ok. Let’s hurry back to the motel and hide.” Fawn suggested.
“Forget that.” Richard shook his head. “Did you hear what he said? I need to get out of here!”
“Wait, what? But, they blocked the stations, remember?”
“I know, but there’s got to be another way to leave this place. I know, if I use my powers, or you can use your powers to—”
“Does that mean you won’t help me anymore?” Fawn asked, with tears in her eyes.
“Wait, no, I never said that!” Richard exclaimed, holding his hands in defense. “Maybe the killer could be somewhere else? We’ll probably be on the run, anyway.”
“But... I don’t know where else he or she could be.”
“...Man. Look, I’m sorry I—”
“Hold it right there!” A voice yelled out from a distance as a bright beam of light flickered from the corner of Richard’s eyes. He turned and saw two men in police uniforms, one holding a flashlight, and the other wielding a small gun reassembling a taser. “What do you think you’re doing in a dark alley?”
“And why are you wearing a suspicious outfit?” The other officer added. “Answer us!”
“This doesn’t look good,” Fawn muttered.
“Come on, hands in the air, and turn around where we can see you!” The first officer ordered.
Richard slowly turned and lifted his arms in the air. Before showing his face, he extended his arms to knock down a trash can and sprinted in the opposite direction. Richard tried to wall jump and escape, but lost his footing. The officers chased after him as one of them used the taser, causing a spark to fly out and hit Richard’s body, electrocuting him. He soon fell to the floor as his body squirmed and his eyes got bloodshot.

“Give it up right now!” The first officer threatened. He looked over at the man’s grin appearing on his face.
“Oh my god,” Richard muttered. “This surge and power inside my body feels amazing.” He laughed to himself. “I haven’t felt like this for the longest time since I was a kid...” He turned to the second officer. Come on, hit me with that again!”
The second officer jumped back in recoil, his hand shaking, unsure what to do.
“Rick, be careful.” The other officer warned him.
Rick panicked and pushed the trigger and hit Richard again, causing his body to jolt and tingle. “Yes! I feel so alive again!” He cried out.
Rick looked down and noticed his arms turning blue. His eyes widened; he tried to clue his partner about the revelation, too. An aura surrounded Richard as he let a spark shoot out from his fingertips, causing it to hit an electric billboard. The billboard fell to the ground and burst into flames as car horns went blazing and people screamed from a distance.
“No way, I did it...” Richard looked down at the smoke coming from his finger. “Uh oh...”
“James, did you see that?” Rick asked his partner in crime.
“It’s him,” James said. “The supernatural terrorist!”
“We got to go now!” Fawn exclaimed.
“Fawn, get me out of here!” Richard yelled out.
“On it!”
She levitated Richard’s body above the buildings to avoid the crossfire. A helicopter loomed over him as he ran in the opposite direction, jumping from building to building to avoid getting captured.
Richard caught sight of a vent attached to the walls of the building and begged for Fawn to make him invisible again so he can fall midway and sneak through the police unscathed. She seemed hesitant at first, but did as told anyway. Richard slid down the chute and dashed past the officers, waiting for him to show his face.
After looking around, he went toward a floating scooter on the sidewalk and took it out for a spin. The vehicle zoomed through the air at rampant points as he tried to hold on.
The police took notice of the commotion and ran over to investigate the scene. “What’s going on here?”

[Adventure, Wuxia, Martial Arts, Fantasy] For those not in the know, this is a book with some western and eastern fantasy sprinkled in. This is a work coming from someone who's a long time fan of the genre and would like to add my own flavor and spin to it, and I particularly dislike the shallow xianxia characterization and development. To counteract that is about eighty percent of the reason I'm writing this. The beginning might be a slow burn but I promise I'm bringing up some awesome scenes and moments once you're invested. Again, this is not some fast food xianxia. But I can say that as a lover of the genre I won't be completely shying away from the stuff that got myself hooked into it in the first place. DISCORD NOW AVAILABILE!

The Everyday Life of A Pathfinder
Pathfinders are people who are respected and revered, not because of power or might, but because of knowledge of the world. They are the peacekeepers between humans and nature. Guiding humans through the most dangerous areas known to man and killing any species which attempts to throw off the balance of the natural world. This is their job - and their passion. *** Note: This story is going to have a few generic elements in it, like fantasy setting, guilds, cursing and stuff like that. A few (a lot) of things it won’t have is: Overly bloody descriptions, I don’t need to have enough buckets of gore to fill a ballroom for people to get that guy is defiantly dead; Rape, I don’t like it and it’s honestly painful writing that stuff; Harems, fuck harems; Overpowered MC, EVER; Game elements/ transported to another world, overused as shit; “I’m out for revenge”, no one cares; “My village was burned down and everyone died ;-;”, yeah you and the other 60% of the population; A lot of overly dramatic events, Drama has its time and place to be impactful, so you need to use it sparingly so when you do it’s special; “I’m going to stab you because I’m CrAZy, I believe that everyone has a reason for what they do, sometimes the reason is because they’re fucking insane, but I’m still not going to write things like that; Generic fantasy creatures, I’m tired of hearing about the fucking mystical dragons or the god damn slimes, so I’m going to create my own monster. Also feel free to roast. I don't get offended easily and it's honestly one of the best ways to increase writing abilites.
