《The Na'vi Je'daii (Star Wars FF)》Chapter 5

"Master. Where is this place?"
Kavuk had brought Trilla to a very shady-looking location on the lower area of the 1st level of Coruscant. And by shady, it meant that a prostitute was offering her services only a meter or 2 away from a not-so-recently deceased corpse.
Kavuk didn't answer right away. Instead, they continued walking together until they were outside of a large complex with several clone guards waiting at the gates.
"This is where you will be staying when not on a mission or at the Jedi temple. The Special Operation Brigade's HQ."
Kavuk and Trilla walked in together without any issue. The former was famous due to being a member of a rare species and one of the top generals of the SO BGE.
Trilla looked around in surprise as they walked through the base. Most of the base consisted of training courses where there weren't any buildings or roads. Clone commandos were running all over the base while practicing against one another in different missions from demolition to espionage.
"So these are the elite commandos? I didn't know that the base would be out in the open like this," Trilla commented in surprise. She always thought that the base would be hidden in the center of a moon off of some remote world.
"It is hidden enough. The walls are high enough that most people can't see inside of the base unless they can fly. And we have enough turrets and deadly soldiers that launching an attack on our base with anything short of an entire surface force army wouldn't be able to take us out."
They didn't stop walking even as Kavuk explained how their base worked. The pair continued to walk until they reached a large building that served as the command center. Once again, they were able to enter without any trouble.

Kavuk led his Padawan into the deepest portion of the command center until they were outside of an office.
*knock knock*
"Come in," a gruff voice spoke up from the other side of the door
Kavuk entered it with Trilla right on her tail. She was surprised that it wasn't just a single person in the room but there were over 20 and the room was much larger than she first imagined.
Sitting behind the desk was a large, bearded, and muscular Jedi. Most would believe that he was anything but a Jedi with the intimidating air that he gave off.
Arligan Zey was the commander of the entire Special Operations Brigade.
Sitting in front of him were two more Jedi a man in Mandalorian armor but who wasn't wearing a helmet. The former looked to be in their late teens or early 20s while the latter was clearly an older man but Trilla instinctively felt like he was the most dangerous person in the room besides the two Jedi Masters.
The Jedi were both former Padawans of Master Zey. They were Bardan Jusik and Etain Tur-Mukan while the man in Mandalorian armor was Kal Skirata, a legendary Mandalorian and the man who had the most responsibility for the clones fighting prowess besides Jango himself.
Around the rest of the room were clones that she had never seen before but had heard of most of them.
4 commandos were wearing unique designs on their armor. This was Omega Squad. One of Kavuk's old squads and the one that had the best track record under him and in the entire SO BGE alongside Delta Squad.
10 Alpha-Class ARC troopers also stood in the room. This was the Muunhilist 10. The men were responsible for not only ending the battle of Muunhilist within a day due to their efforts but also the ones that saved Kavuk and his fellow Jedi from General Grievous.

The last 6 were ARC troopers were people that Trilla had never even heard of before. They all wore unique armor and carried themselves in a way that Trilla had never seen from a clone before. Almost as if...
'They're alive. But aren't all clones alive? But they do feel... different somehow.'
Trilla had never fought side by side with clones but she had seen them occasionally when she went outside of the temple. And none of the clones she met gave off the same feelings as the ones she was meeting today. But even of the ones she was meeting, the Null-Class ARC troopers were their own breed.
As she was checking them out, the others were also checking her out.
"Hand it over, Prudi! I told you that Kavuk would be getting a Padawan!"
"How in the world did you find that out, Mereel? And don't just tell me that you guessed."
"I happen to be close to a few of those new ARCs that happen to work for members of the Council. One of them had loose lips and let it spell."
"You all are a mess. You do know that the brat is most likely not used to this?" Niner reprimanded them
"She hasn't seen many clones. The girl doesn't even have the smell of the battlefield on her yet. Might as well let her get used to us as we truly are now than down the line."
As the Null-ARCs and Delta Squad joked around and talked about her, Trilla looked at the clones in confusion before turning towards her master. Kavuk shook his head and explained the situation to her.
"Most clones undergo intense 'programming'. Alpha-ARCs, Null-ARCs, and Commandos don't which gives them more of a personality. They are trained this way since the way they battle is very different compared to normal clones.
But these 10 are especially weird since Skirata trains them and they work under me. You can say that these 10 are more like Mandalorians than clones. Alpha-ARCs are also like Mandalorians but in a different way."
Trilla nodded, still confused. They had been teaching the Younglings about the main army of the Grand Republic but very little information was given regarding the Special Operations Brigade.
"Master Zey just gave us the rundown. You're now the main force of the Special Operations Brigade?" Skirata asked Kavuk for confirmation
"Hhmm. That's my official position anyway. Like your official position, as well as Etain and Barden, are my vice-generals. The Nulls, Omega Squad, and Muunhilist 10 will be the black ops force for our army."
The Jedi Order and Republic realized that while the commandos were elites, they were not meant for a large battlefield. But the Special Operations Brigade needed an army that could take on larger targets that couldn't just be dealt with with a few small squads nor could wait for another army to launch an attack.
This was Kavuk's true position now. He was to be the blade of the Special Operations Brigade.
"Trilla. For the next 2 weeks, we are to remain on Coruscant while the rest of the Special Operations Brigade gets restructured and our army arrives. During this time, you will not only be training under me but will be trained by Kal'buir as well. We will get you prepared for the war."

Old Riding Author Lunatic Asylum
Just off the A19, in the dark, incomprehensible lands known as Yorkshire, there lies a town. A town where shadow-silent alleys glint with the secret hunger of knives. Where blood soaks the chipboard window shutters of forsaken terraces stretching off into the night. Where the smog-choked air rattles with the depraved laughter echoing out from clubs that can only generously be described as post-apocalyptic. Well, that’s Middlesbrough. But down the A19 a bit (an impossibly long way down, actually) there lies another town: Raughnen, in the ancient, forgotten Old Riding. It is an equal match in muggery and thuggery alike. It also has magic spells and pointy wizard hats. And now, across the miles and across all sensibilities, a pretty nasty power (a magic one) calls out for its pretty nasty counterpart (a decidedly unmagic one): a proper sound Boro lad. Nothing good can come of it. This is a collection of one novella and four connected short stories: I. A Yorkshire Summoning II. Old Riding Day Trip (the novella) III. Heaven is a Parmo IV. Death on the 66 V. Death on the 257 In total, this comprises 34 chapters totalling around 35,000 words, so try not to worry. It will be over relatively quickly. There are three more short stories with more tenuous links to the core collection: Rush, Paper Round and Scenario 79: Sausage Fingers, all of which can be found in my collection Short Records of Misadventure. Reading these may allow you to make more sense of certain parts of the story, if any sense is to be made at all. NOTE: There are instances of prejudice and discrimination within these stories, including elements of sexism and ageism, which are purely the thoughts and actions of the characters involved and which certainly do not reflect my own views on these matters. ANOTHER NOTE; A WARNING, PERHAPS: This can get a bit weird. In less than 150 pages, we have four viewpoints, first and third person narratives, and a completely disjointed plot with lots of gaps, dead ends and no real resolution. Also ZERO lunatic asylums. It's all a bit odd. If that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea, which it most likely isn't, it might be best to move on now.

The Many Lives of Cadence Lee
Cadence Lee thought she was a normal girl, perhaps a little well to do, but not exceptionally so. She had her college classes, she had her job that her uncle gave her, and she had a nice boyfriend who was sweet if a little awkward. Except, when a mugger accosts Cadence and her boyfriend attempts to wrestle a gun away from the criminal, Cadence ends up shot. A normal girl, with the kind of wound Cadence had, would die. Cadence managed to do that part. But a normal girl wouldn't then open her eyes again and learn that death is not as permanant for her as it is for other people. She can be reborn again, and again. Each time stronger and with new abilities. The catch? Any world she is born into, she can never return to. She has infinite lives, but only one life for each. So begins The Many Lives of Cadence Lee. Arcane Transmogrification (Book Two of the Pentacle Series)
Book Two of the Pentacle Series Danny can only hope that his most recent efforts have saved the caravan he was traveling with, but was the price he paid too great? [Please consider this is an alternate/abridged and free version of book 2. The newly published Amazon version is over twice as long. I added a number of additional adventures, expanded on Danny's personal relationships, and made many revisions to the overall storyline. I apologize, as I have no current plans to add any portions of Book 3 to this website.]

Dungeon core shenanigans
Our protagonist lived his life normaly, had a PhD in physics and some problemes. Nothing too out of what can be considered common. At least until he died. After his death, he comes to himself as some breathing sphere. While still himself, he forgot a good part of his memories, he kept various parts of his knowledge, but it is obvious he was impacted mentaly. Now we follow his actions and their consequences in a brand new world where he causes mayhem and panic without meaning to. Will he stabilise and be a new kind of dungeon? Or will he just continue being a mess of thoughts and doing atrocities without realising it? I have stopped writing this story, it was one for me to train, and I have much to work on. I don't plan to resume it, but if I do, then I will rewrite it from the begining.
