《Honest Way of Living》Hunted

He wanted to go back as soon as possible so that he would have more time to explore the forest while looking for the white ball. By taking the latest train he could get, Asfa made it to Town A before 5 p.m.
Before he left the train station, he went to the public toilet and waited to see if there were people following him or not. After 5 minutes of waiting, he left the station with the same outfits he wore yesterday to go to the forest.
"I saw someone enter the forest yesterday, and I followed the trail to see how many of them, but it was just one person. Maybe we could wait for him today to rob him."
Asfa made it to the entrance in half an hour by running, and it was so much faster than yesterday. He felt like he was being watched by someone and immediately used his sensing ability to confirm it.
He couldn't sense anything with his ability since they could be watching with binoculars from far away. Asfa entered the forest and ran to the spot he found the magical white ball.
"Let's see if you guys can still watch me from far away now!"
After running for a few minutes, he noticed that there were two people following him from behind. Asfa tried to outrun them for few times, but it failed. He realised that these people were not ordinary and not easy to talk with.
Asfa doesn't want to expose the particular location to these people, so he has to face them before going there. He sprinted as fast as he could and hid in the bushes. He had no problem navigating through this area since the marks he left yesterday were still around.
"Where is him? Did he notice that we were following?"

Asfa saw two people talking 15 meters from his hiding location.
Ever since he met and killed the people from Red Scythe, he always brought a small wooden pole with a pointy edge. He chose it as a weapon since it was easier to keep without being noticed or caught by people.
Currently, Asfa is waiting for them to be separated. He was still thinking about whether he should leave them to be or kill them. He was never a fan of killing people. It was against his moral compass.
It was almost dawn, and the light was almost gone. With the help of night vision google, the bandit has no problem walking around the forest.
Asfa silently controls the wooden spike to ensure it won't be noticed by the bandit near him. As he was about to launch the wooden spike, the bandit yelled.
"Hohoho, I can feel you are here boy! Stop hiding. Do you think you can run from us?"
The bandit immediately points his gun toward Asfa's hiding location and starts shooting. Asfa leapt out of the bushes and used the nearby tree as cover from the bullets.
When the bandit stopped shooting to reload, Asfa yelled at him, "Why are you doing this to me? I have done nothing wrong to you."
The bandit kept on shooting, and whenever Asfa moved, he would still be targetted. Asfa realised that the enemy had a way of tracking him without seeing him.
Asfa had enough. He went hiding behind the thickest tree he could find to start attacking. The wooden spike he controlled is floating behind the tree near the bandit.
"Go!"
The wooden spike moves at light's speed, targetting the bandit's heart. The wooden spike is now stuck on the ground. He can see that the wooden spike is now covered with blood, and the gun on the bandit's hand has fallen.

Asfa rushed himself to the bandit to get any pieces of information from his things. He had to do it fast since he didn't know where the second bandit went after the first gunshot.
He spent a minute collecting everything from the fallen bandit and left the scene instantly. It was unnecessary to hide the remains since it was so dark there. Currently, Asfa is waiting for the other bandit while checking the fallen bandit's things.
Asfa found out that the fallen bandit was an ex-army, but a low ranked one. A few minutes passed, and there was still no sign of the other bandit. Asfa inspected the gun to see that it was modified with thermal imagery scope. "No wonder he had no problem tracking me!"
'Boooom'
It was a rifle bullet aimed at his head. Asfa barely deflected it with his power, and his chin that got scratched is bleeding. He left the spot and hid immediately. Since he already knew where the bullet was coming from, he quietly moved forward toward the shooter.
After moving for hundred meters, he found the location of the shooter. It was the other bandit. Asfa thought he was hidden enough, yet he was so wrong.
The bandit points his sniper rifle toward Asfa and releases the trigger without hesitation.
"Crap, he seems to know my location in the dark!"
The bullet was going for his head, but Asfa had no problem evading it with his power this time. "He must have the thermal heat thing to track me easily!"
Asfa rushed to the bandit and pushed the rifle away from him. He wanted to fight the bandit within a restricted area so that he won't have to waste his mental energy deflecting the bullets.
"Hahahaha, I can't wait to sell your body to the black market. An amateur enhanced!"
The bandit equipped himself with a military dagger and tried to slice Asfa a few times. It was accurate and deadly, Asfa barely dodged everything, and his body was bleeding everywhere. He was still inexperienced in fighting against armed people.
Asfa retaliated by punching the bandit, yet everything missed. He tried to control the movement of the bandit with his ability, yet it was not strong enough. His mental power was draining fast since he used it for hours without rest.
"What's wrong? Can't control me with your weak ability? Do you think you are that special? You are just lucky to have it but not strong enough to protect it!"
Asfa started to get panicked, slowly giving up. He wanted to give up, yet he couldn't.
"I am bored. Just die already", the bandit thrust his knife toward Asfa's chest.
Asfa blocked the knife with his left hand, which got stuck there. He had to endure it since that was the only way to lock the bandit. He put every mental energy left into his right hand and punched the bandit's body.
The bandit got blasted away from Asfa and hit the tree behind him. Asfa fell and lay down for a while.
"I got destroyed so badly.. I was careless and overestimated myself.. "
He rested for a while to recover his mental energy. Once it was enough to use for sensing the surrounding area, he looked inside the fallen bandit's backpack. Luckily there is a small first aid kit inside.
He cleaned his wounds with the antibiotic solution from the first aid kit and covered them with bandages. He ate the energy bars he got from the bandit's backpack to replenish his body and started walking toward the forest entrance.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

When Plush comes to Shove
An: So the last synopsis wasn’t really all that good, it was just some mumbo jumbo with no actual point to it so I decided to make a new one that’s a bit more accurate. Leo Lush, just your average everyday (slightly chubby) schmuck, or at least he would be if he didn’t carry around a stuffed toy everywhere he went.I mean, he was a man who could read the atmosphere a bit so put it away in his bag whenever having a stuffed toy out would be rude but other than that he brought it with him all the time, it was a memento from his girlfriend who had died three years ago and keeping it close made him feel better. That’s also why his classmates gave him the nickname “Plush”, though that's neither here nor there. One day at the train station he’d lost his dearest stuffed toy, one of his classmates found it and lobbed it towards him, something that they’d already done many times before, but this time something went wrong and Leo found himself falling in front of the train due to the force of the throw. Now follow Leo as the spirit that developed in his stuffed toy and killed him forces his ghost into another world to possess a different stuffed toy. He doesn’t know much about the world or why he’s there but what he does know is that according to a magic book his girlfriend was also sent to this very world when she died in a plane accident three years ago. An: For those who want to know a bit more about what kind of story this will be: I want it to be a chill feel-good story and stay as far away from those despair-fest stories as possible (No offense to people who enjoy them, I’m just not one of you)Let me make something clear; I’m not writing this story with hope of it becoming really top tier among RRL (Though it did get above rank 500 once which I’m still very proud of even though it’s gone back down to ~850 at the time of writing this) I just want to write a story that I would enjoy reading, that’s why I’ll be mostly skipping over a lot of the parts that I skip when I read other stories, such as stats, the exact value of money and other such precise statistics that no one(as far as I’m aware) really cares about all that much. Just feels like a lot of effort for something superfluous. There’s a single exception and that’s one of the battles, it’s not a despair-fest or anything but it’s got a different feel than the rest of the story due to me being in a funky mood while I was writing it.
