《My Unending Agony》Protectors

I followed Kayson through the place turning from one hallway to another, down one flight of steps to another till finally, we stood in front of a large metal double door. "After you." he said. I was quite surprised at how easy it was to push the doors open, it felt like just any other door. In the room were large groups of tables with people of all ages sitting at them. The table at the other side of the room was different from the rest. On the top of the table was a symbol that looked like an N But had had a line on the top of it With a large gem behind it. At that table sat Silas and a few others I don't know yet.
"Everyone, Focus your attention on the young man at the doorway! This is Dillon Mathews! He will be training with us from now on, so please make him feel at home." Everyone in the room started to whisper to each other. "Dillon, you can come sit with us." Said a group of girls all dressed in the same clothing beside me. Something about them was very alluring. I felt as though I was in a trance. As I began to walk towards them someone tapped my shoulder "Hey trust me, don't sit with them." I looked to see a young man with bright Red hair and Black eyes. I turned back to the girls whose eyes are now black, cracked-looking dark grey skin, and they were hissing at the man next to me. "The names Clyde. You can come sit with us if you want."
I followed Clyde to his table and sat down with his group of friends. "So, are you really Dillon? Like the one wh..." "Calm down Argus, He just got here. Hello, I'm Hera Daughter of Arete. And this is Argus my younger brother." "Hi, it's so great to see you in per..." "And this is Callia, She lost her voice years ago but she does speak in her own way." As soon as Hera said that, my head started hurting a bit and a voice said "Hello, so sorry if this hurts a little, I think you will get used to it." "I will try." I replied. "And you have already met me and Kayson." Said Lionel patting Kayson on the shoulder.

After we all had our breakfast, I followed Clyde and everyone else to where they hang out for the day, and train for different things. The room not to big, and had a couch with a fireplace in front of it, a table on the left of the fire place with chairs around it. "Alright, so this is were we go first thing in the morning, and pretty much stay here till either we are called, or dismissed to our rooms." Said Clyde. "Since today is your first day with the Protectors we will relax, but tomorrow we need to see what you can do, you know like see if you are good for our group." Hera informed me. "What do you mean?" A sudden ring in my head came followed by the voice of Callia "We all have our own abilities, we need to know what you know of yours."
I noticed Argus In a corner standing with his eyes closed. "What is it?" Hera asked him. He opened his eyes and for a second I thought I saw fear in his eyes when he looked at his sister. "It is nothing important." He replied nervously. "Well who wants to go walk around, maybe go to the creatures room." said Kayson.
Twelve Hours later- 10:30 PM
Today was a pretty good day. I joined a team called The Protectors, and I joined a group of some pretty great people. Tomorrow they want to know more about my abilities, and somehow put them to the test. To be honest, I might learn more about them then I knew before.

Apex Predator
Earth is a fairly small place, but it's all Bath has. It's the only home he's ever known for all of his 500-or-so-million years of life. One day, Bath realized his treasured Earth was being drawn into the next mass extinction ahead of schedule. So, fascinated by the humans and their quick rise to power (after all, setting off a mass extinction is a pretty sizable achievement), what's a nearly all-powerful, somewhat bored, morally ambiguous, savagely violent, shapeshifting alien entity to do other than assume the form of a human and do some front-line investigating? Little did Bath know he would soon stumble upon a mysterious human organization with a gate leading to planets eons away. And that's just the beginning... A story with aliens, intergalactic space travel, mind powers, and an abundance of adventure! Author's note: ON HIATUS! Hello and thank you for reading! Constructive criticism and grammar-policing are both appreciated. Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 are complete at 1271 pages! Part 7 is in progress! If you've ever read any other web serials, you might've noticed that authors get better with time (that is, their art or writing improves). Wutosama of Metaworld Chronicles noted that the first 20 chaps are always a mess. This is also the case with Apex Predator. The first two parts (ranging just under 30 chapters, or 161 pages) are absolutely subpar. While I have edited them as of 7-10-18, they require a rewrite, which is currently in the works but not complete. For a sample that gives insight into what the latter ~80% of the story's writing style is like, check out chapter 56. Vote for Apex Predator on Top Web Fiction! The Apex Predator Discord is here. Cover: original work done by me, the author, caerulex.

The Lost City of Maeros (Working title)
Fen and her sister are orphans. A dead mother, a missing father. They make due. While her sister works to support them, Fen dreams of adventure, to board one of the great, flying ships and explore the world. But her birthday is coming, and the time for dreaming will come to an end. A special necklace, a map and a message will soon send Fen out into the world in hopes of finding her father and healing her family. It seems however, that she isn't the only one looking for him. NOTE - This is a Work in Progress/Early draft. I try to catch errors as I type, but more than likely I will miss some things at this stage. The primary focus is plot and story. Theomancer
My very own first book: I know it won't be perfect, so any constructive criticism would be appreciated. A peculiar reject from modern society ends up as one of the summoned people in another world, but will the premise hold up to the reality of things? only one way to find out! Follow an irascible Darwin's adventures while he pioneers his class in a whole new world, where colors and willpower are two of the most important things, besides respecting the Gods (and avoiding stronger pricks that are just waiting for an excuse to trample someone). -first-person, portal fantasy, litrpg -the cover is my crude attempt with Paint
